Chapter 364: Loyalty Pledged
The space around Alister shook violently, his voice echoing through the fabric of reality. In response to his call, dark cosmic rifts opened, and from the massive void emerged his wyverns, accompanied by his dragon generals, all tye Wyverns dropped to the ground, lowieing there heads to touch the earth as they paid their respects.
Draven, clad in black armor, Alzuring with his bow in hand, and Terra adjusting her glasses, stepped forward. The three of them dropped to one knee before Alister, one hand resting above their raised knees, their heads lowered.
"We pay our respects to our lord."
"You all, may rise."
"Understood." They all said, rising to there feet's, the Wyverns lifting uo there heads, all of their eyes were fixed on him as they waited his orders, each and every on of them eger and ready to carry out his will.
"Our objective today is clear," he spoke, his eyes shifting to each of his generals in turn.
"We will locate one of the Dragon Kin settlements hidden out here in the Wastelands."
He scolded one of his hands before him to communicate his intensity, his golden dragon eyes radiating his aura.
"It's time to gather our scattered people and unite them under one banner."
"We will build a new kingdom—a haven where they can finally call home."
"It is time for the dragon race to rise once more!" he said, his voice echoing outward, filling all who we're present with an immense sense of pride.
All bowed their heads once again. "It would be our pride and humor, my lord," Terra, Alzuring and Draven said, their voices filled with conviction.
Alister nodded. "Good, now... Let us take flight."
Terra adjusted her glasses, stepping forward slightly. "If you will my lord..."
"...before we proceed, might we be allowed to greet our address our kin who has finally decided to make his identity known to us?"
The faintest look of amusement crossed Alister's scaled face, though he kept his demeanor composed.
"Very well, Terra."
"You are too kind my lord." Terra said, she Draven and Alzuring bowing slightly.
All their eyes then turned their eyes turned towards Yuuto—no, Yu'Keto.
Terra adjusted her glasses, the faint glint of light reflecting off the lenses as she gazed at Yu'Keto.
"So, we finally meet."
Yu'Keto smiled warmly. "It's a pleasure to meet you all as well."
Before another word could be exchanged, Draven suddenly sped toward Yu'Keto. His movements kicking up dust, a blur of black armor.
Yu'Keto now in his combat form was 8 inch taller then he was, yet Draven wasn't the least bit intimidated by the time dragon's intense Draconic are, fact he was excited, his helmet dissapeard in a burst of electricity, revealing his black hair and purple eyes.
He stopped inches away, his intense gaze locked onto Yu'Keto's, despite being shorter, his gaze was still intense.
"To think you were a dragon all along," Draven said, his voice a mix of surprise and amusement. "That explains why you were able to evade my grasp the first time we met."
"To be able to hide such a powerful aura as well, for a powerful dragon it seems that hiding and evading my be your speciality."
Yu'Keto's mischievous smile widened as he met Draven's piercing gaze. "You underestimate me. Evade your grasp? I would call it… skillful maneuvering. And a dragon is allowed keep a few secrets, no?"
He spoke playfully, yet there was this... confidence that made it hard to tell whether he was joking or simply stating the truth.
Draven narrowed his eyes but smirked in return, crossing his arms. "Skillful, indeed. But secrets have a way of revealing themselves in the end."
Alzuring, who had been silent, took a step forward, his bow resting casually in one hand. His gaze was sharp... Almost skeptical as ke spoke.
"If you could hide such a significant truth about yourself... one has to wonder—what else might you be hiding? Where does your loyalty truly lie?"
The lighthearted deminoe Yu'Keto usually carried himself with added slightly, his smile softening into something more sincere.
He placed a hand over his heart and bowed his head slightly in Alzuring's direction.
"I swear upon my honor and scales that I would dare not harbor ill intentions towards the young lord. My actions, though shrouded in secrecy, were never meant to betray his trust."
Terra adjusted her glasses again, her sharp eyes never leaving Yu'Keto.
"Have you pledged your loyalty yet?" she asked, her voice calm but firm, like a teacher expecting an overdue assignment.
Yu'Keto hesitated, his smile returning, but this time, it had a feel of nervousness.
"I must admit, I have not yet done so."
Terra's expression remained impassive, but her tone became edged.
"Then it would be wise to proceed without further delay. Loyalty is not just implied... it must be declared."
Yu'Keto chuckled, raising both hands in mock surrender.
"You lot are so intense! But I recognize the importance of this act. Very well."
He turned to Alister, his mischievous dissappreing completely as a solemn expression appeard on his face.
Dropping to one knee, Yu'Keto lowered his head, his silvery hair falling forward. His voice deepened, adopting the formal cadence of another era.
"Forgive mine delay, young lord."
As he spoke, the clock crests in his yes flared. The area round his chest illuminated with a silver glow. To signify he was about to make a dragon oath.
Something a dragon could never take back regardless of how powerful they were.
"For it was not out of neglect but out of my own folly that I have withheld this sacred pledge."
"Here and now, I do humbly offer you my respects and swear my unwavering loyalty to you, Alister, the young lord to whom my scales and soul are bound."
As Yu'Keto's words echoed, Alister's system emitted a faint chime, and a translucent notification window appeared before his eyes.

Seeing the status window, Alister's thoughts raced.
'I guess I now see why he said he could not be by my side at the beginning... With a power like this it would be impossible for one to grow, because anything can be undone or remove from my way by simply giving an order...'
'But if so... How did my mother die?'
Ugh
'I should save such questions for later, I should focus on the main objective, questions can always be asked at better times.'
He decided to put the thought aside, it was a truly baffling question indeed.
Alister blinked, his eyes briefly looking to the notification before redirecting his gaze toward Yu'Keto.
"Rise, Yu'Keto," Alister commanded. "Your pledge is accepted."
Yu'Keto stood, his expression was sincere yet still with a faint trace of his earlier playfulness.
"It is an honor, young lord."
Terra adjusted her glasses again, a look of satisfaction crossing her face. "With that, there are no loose ends. A dragon's pledge is absolute."
Alzuring nodded, though his gaze lingered on Yu'Keto for a moment longer, as if still wondering if to trust him.
Draven, meanwhile, grinned and gave Yu'Keto a light pat on the shoulder. "Welcome to the fold, comrade. Try not to keep us guessing too much from now on."
Yu'Keto chuckled softly. "I'll try, but I'm not making any promises."
"Enough of that," Alister commanded. "We have no time to linger. Our mission awaits. We must take flight and begin our search."
"Yes my lord."
