Chapter 184: The Overwhelmingly Fierce Newcomer_4
"I think we need to consider this issue now. Ha, he solved the problem 25 years ago... Heh, a 21-year-old candidate for the academy, whatever decision we make, the impact will be far-reaching," Zhou Liang said meaningfully.
After pondering for a moment, Zhang Mingrui smiled and said, "Zhou, you don't study this field, so you don't realize how difficult this proposition is. The tools created by Qiao Ze are indeed very useful, but if his approach is correct, numerous independent research directions, like Qiao Qiefen and Qiao Space, will emerge. However, fully resolving this proposition will still require some time to settle."
Having said that, Zhang Mingrui saw that Zhou Liang wanted to speak, so he added with a smile, "Well, let's say he really solves the proposition next year; it's not a big deal, after all... Yang is still alive!"
Zhou Liang nodded slightly.
Although Zhang Mingrui didn't spell it out, Zhou Liang certainly understood what he meant.
Since Yang was mentioned, there would naturally be respect for him.
So if Qiao Ze could indeed prove the existence of Yang-Mills Theory while Yang was still alive, considering Yang's prestige in the academic world, Zhang Mingrui's choice would probably be to vote in favor without a second thought.
If not...
The chances are that the chairpersons would have already changed, so they wouldn't need to consider this vexing issue anymore.
In the end, Zhou Liang just heaved a sigh, "Ah, they say the new waves of the Yangtze River push forward the old, but this new wave... is just too strong. Nineteen years old, only nineteen! Even if one started learning from the womb, this might be the best one could do, right?"
Zhang Mingrui was momentarily stunned, then nodded emphatically, inadvertently recalling his own time at nineteen.
There's no comparison, truly no comparison!
...
While the two academicians were discussing Qiao Ze, his hands had also left the keyboard.
The main part of the paper was finished. He'd spent almost the entire two days of free time writing it.
But the paper was still incomplete.

Qiao Ze had a habit of writing papers: he would outline the paper's complete structure following his own ideas and then during the review process, he would fill in some of the proof procedures that might be troublesome for the reviewers.
The advantage of this approach was that many of the proofs had already been done before and were stored on his computer; he could simply copy and paste them.
As for formatting issues, those could be directly handed over to Dou Dou to sort out. Although Dou Dou fell short in searching for auxiliary materials for papers, it was quite useful for organizing paper formats, spotting typos, and grammar mistakes.
Therefore, the following work wouldn't be too complicated, almost not requiring much intellectual effort.
After taking an hour's break, Qiao Ze had already completed his paper, with a very simple title: "Existential Proof of the Yang-Mills Solution."
Looking at the finished paper, Qiao Ze didn't feel a strong sense of achievement or emptiness.
He just felt very vexed.
Once his mind was idle, he began to subconsciously ponder that proposition which still troubled him and couldn't help but mutter to himself, "How to describe the mass gap using mathematical language?"
"Huh?" Su Mucheng, who was watching a drama series next to Qiao Ze, looked up confusedly and asked, "Qiao, are you talking to me?"
Qiao Ze glanced at Su Mucheng and shook his head.
He was asking himself.
If someone had the answer to that question, it would have already spread across the world.
Unfortunately, he hadn't found that ultimate answer yet.
It was genuinely too difficult...
Mulling over this, Qiao Ze even began to doubt whether he had been too naive five years ago, thinking the world was too simple.
Knowing that Qiao Ze wasn't addressing her, Su Mucheng gave him a sweet smile and once again immersed herself in the investigative reasoning of Sherlock Holmes, utterly oblivious to the fact that her partner next to her, who looked slightly bewildered, was about to stun the world.
