Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 556: Worries (Bonus)

With Selena and the others fighting the mature class aliens, Nathan regrouped with the minister.

"The situation here looks bad." Nathan glanced around.

"Yeah. They have fought admirably. There were four warrior class aliens here, so it couldn't be helped."

"Four warrior class aliens?" Nathan raised his head. "My location got attacked by two. They brought around 2,000 or 3,000 lower-level aliens with them, together with 23 juvenile class aliens."

"Hoh? Then again, this place must be their main tunnel, so it can't be helped to have more. There were 4 warrior class aliens, each leading about 8 to 9 mature class aliens, along with 2,000 aliens. Fortunately, they didn't attack us at the same time. The first two warrior class aliens were near this place, so we fought them right away.

"The other two came after that. Because we were exhausted, it took longer than we expected." The minister sighed.

"Still…" Nathan sighed. "For now, I will heal whoever I can. According to Anubis… I mean, my familiar, he doesn't sense death more than what we're seeing right now, so I believe there are a lot of people who collapse from exhaustion."

"Really?" The minister's expression brightened.

"Yes."

"That's good news. Unfortunately, the other side hasn't sent their reinforcement yet."

Nathan nodded in agreement. "In that case, we should discuss our movement once we get rid of the remaining aliens. We need to save as many people. I need your cooperation."

"In that case, I will get rid of the aliens as quickly as possible. You go to Captain Hansen over there. Ask him to cooperate with you."

"Sure."

Nathan and the war minister immediately split up. The war minister, with his superior strength, crushed the remaining aliens. On the other hand, Nathan instantly gained the cooperation of Captain Hansen.

He ordered him and his soldiers to focus on retrieving everyone's body.

Like Anubis said, the number of people that survived was astonishing. Even they didn't expect so many people would survive.

They originally thought at least 2,000 people died from the alien onslaught. However, it turned out only 800 people were actually dying. The rest were severely injured, collapsed from exhaustion, or got knocked out.

Even the soldiers were looking at Nathan as if he were a saint when he helped all those people.

While Anubis was treating them, the war minister had finished the battle and returned to his side. "Hoho. Look at the admiration in their eyes. I have heard about the report, but witnessing it with my own eyes is much more amazing.

"Your healing ability is rare to the point where I want to claim you, no matter what it takes. This kind of ability is only possessed by the few archbishops in the Holy Kingdom." The war minister squinted his eyes. "If we're not in this current predicament, I would probably do everything to recruit you."

Nathan nodded. "Well, that's that. There's no point in recruiting me."

"I know." The war minister sighed. "So, I guess we should head to the Liaystian Kingdom."

"Yeah. Since they haven't come yet, it's better to check on them personally." Nathan crossed his arms. "I have brought some fresh soldiers, so we can do it right away. We'll have your exhausted soldiers remain here and close the tunnels. It will be best if there's someone fast enough to actually go back and get the rest of the reserve soldiers to help."

"Agreed. Still, considering the danger of this place, I believe it's better to actually leave behind at least a thousand soldiers. The rest of the summoners from my group will stay here as well."

Nathan thought for a moment. On the one hand, there was an option of having one of the girls stay. On the other hand, he was a bit unsure about what was happening in the other area.

In the end, the other group had enough power to contend against three or four warrior class aliens.

They were supposed to be the first ones coming to the minister, so the fact they were still not coming was concerning.

That was why he wanted to keep all the girls here to face the uncertainty.

"Let's do that. Now that we have confirmed the tunnels and the fact they are planning to infiltrate, other kingdoms should do the same unless they want to face devastation. The captains taking care of the tunnels in my area should tell them about sending a messenger, but you should do the same. Your words are more credible than mine."

That was the truth. Rather than listening to a random boy, who was slightly famous, it would be better to listen to their kingdom's war minister.

The war minister sighed. "Sure. I will do that. Still, your wisdom has been helping us this whole time. With the tunnels here, it's rather weird if you don't receive a reward.

"I'm thinking about suggesting His Majesty grant you land and title… This will be an opportunity for both of you to meet as well, instead of sending messengers."

Nathan scratched the back of his head. "Well, I don't know if this new land will be the final place or not, since I'm considering other possibilities as well. However, I don't like to play politics since they're annoying."

"Rank, huh?" The war minister nodded in understanding. He had been listening to what they thought about Nathan. Now that he had heard it personally, he should report it later.

Nathan shrugged. "Anyway, right now, we should focus on the tunnels. We don't have time to worry about anything else."

"Yeah. I will arrange my army right now since I see that your familiar is done with the healing. I'll finish it as quickly as possible."

Nathan nodded before glancing at the side as Anubis fell to the ground, completely exhausted.

"I need someone to heal me." Anubis sighed. "I have used up all my ena. Are you going to overwork me all the time?"

"Ahaha. Sorry. I will reward you later." Nathan chuckled. This was the first time he saw Anubis curl his body like a sick pet.

"In that case, can you unlock one of my skills permanently? Normally, it will be feeding me ena, right? But what if you use your soul contract to unlock a skill permanently? Is that possible?" Anubis asked.

Nathan tilted his head in confusion. "Now that I think about it, I haven't really tested that… mostly because of the lack of information about familiars who are locking their own abilities. Maybe I will ask the fairy queen first and do it if possible."

Anubis nodded. "In that case, I'll take my leave for now. If you need me for anything later, prepare to give me some ena." Experience new tales on My Virtual Library Empire

"Yep. Thank you for your hard work."
