Strongest Warlock - Wizard World Irregular

Chapter 1075: Taken Against Her Will

Southshire…

Lily hummed as she sat on the swing hanging on the tree right outside her family's residence.

Now that she was six months pregnant, her belly had a noticeable bulge.

Lily was very happy with her pregnancy.

Though if there was anything she could nitpick, it would be the over-protectiveness of her family, who had been treating her like a delicate vase.

She wasn't allowed to do anything aside from eat, sleep, take short strolls, and relax within their residence.

Unfortunately, she was helpless when it came to her family, so she could only do as they said. Even her mother-in-law, Lady Catherine, could only smile bitterly, finding the overprotectiveness of Lily's family too exaggerated at times.

"Mother, I feel like a pet," Lily said with a pout.

"Well, it can't be helped," Lady Catherine replied as she sat on the swing right next to Lily's. "You're the first among your siblings to get married and have a child. Of course, Seff and Leah are overprotective of you. Not to mention, you're carrying twins."

Lily smiled as she lightly caressed her belly. She found out that she was carrying twins a few weeks ago, which she planned to keep as a surprise to Ethan.

Even Lady Catherine agreed to keep it a secret from her son, looking forward to his reaction when he came to visit them in Southshire.

"I also miss Maple and Cinnamon," Lily commented. "Having them around brightens my day."

"Indeed," Lady Catherine nodded in agreement because she, too, had become fond of the two adorable twins, who kept on calling Lily Mother-in-Law.

They also referred to Catherine as their Grandma-in-law, which earned the twins dozens of hugs and kisses from the beautiful woman who loved cute children like them. Read exclusive chapters at My Virtual Library Empire

"But maybe there's a truth to what they're saying?" Lily said. "I'm carrying twins, and Maple and Cinnamon are also twins. The two of them might just really become our daughters-in-law. What do you think, Mother?"

"If it's them, I won't complain," Leah answered readily. "The two of them are very sweet. My only concern is that they eat too much…"

Lily giggled because this was indeed the issue with the gluttonous twins, whom her father, brothers, and sisters couldn't beat in eating and drinking contests.

Suddenly, Lady Catherine's expression became serious as she stared at the sky.

"Lily, get inside the house," Lady Catherine ordered. "Now!"

This was the first time Lily saw her mother-in-law act in this manner, and by the latter's expression, she knew that something serious was about to happen.

She stood up from the swing and briskly walked back to the house as fast as her legs could.

She didn't dare to run because it might hurt her babies, so she did the best that she could within her capacity.

Seff also sensed something wrong, so he ran out of the house and immediately stood guard beside Lily.

Conall, Leah, and the other members of their family also rushed out of the house, forming a protective perimeter around the pregnant young lady.

Lady Catherine, who was already gripping a wand and sword in her left and right hands, had a solemn expression on her face.

Although nothing was happening yet, as someone who had spent decades fighting in the Lands of Saraqael, she knew with every fiber of being that an outbreak was about to happen.

Sure enough, the sky above their heads suddenly cracked.

Finally grasping the situation, Seff immediately let out a long, powerful howl that spread across his entire dominion.

This was a signal for everyone to prepare to fight because their territory was about to get invaded.

"Leah, contact the other rulers!" Seff ordered. "We need to inform them what is happening here in Southshire!"

Leah nodded as she held her daughter's hand, and hurried inside the house.

Seff's wives followed suit, not wanting to take any chances and ending up leaving Lily alone.

"Can we hold them on our own?" Seff asked Lady Catherine.

"If it's just a minor outbreak, we can probably deal with it ourselves," Lady Catherine replied. "But if this is a major outbreak, I'm afraid that… we might not be able to stop them completely."

The crack in the sky had widened, and soon, bits and pieces of it started to fall, disappearing before they even hit the ground.

Suddenly, countless Gargoyles and Locust-like Monsters came pouring from the sky like rain.

"The Plague Faction?!" Lady Catherine, who immediately recognized which faction these monsters belonged to, couldn't help but shudder.

The reason why she felt that way was due to the fact that the Plague Faction would usually send a Progenitor when their armies marched to invade other worlds.

"Ah, so there you are…"

An amused voice reverberated in the surroundings, which made Seff's and Lady Catherine's faces turn grim.

A beautiful lady, who had the wings of a locust, descended from the sky with a smile.

"Tiruru!" Lady Catherine shouted. "What are you doing here?!"

The beautiful lady gave Lady Catherine a sidelong glance before shifting her attention to the residence of the Beast King.

"Bring me the lady who had conceived the child of the Heretic who took over Zorathul's world," Tiruru ordered. "Bring her to me alive!"

Countless Locusts and Gargoyles heeded her command and rushed toward the house that the Beast King was protecting.

"You dare?!" Seff roared in anger as he transformed into a Werewolf, immediately fighting at his peak prowess.

Ethan had mentioned in his letter about the battle that had happened in the Realm of Arkanthos. But Lady Catherine was still shocked upon hearing Tiruru's declaration.

"Stop, Tiruru!" Lady Catherine shouted as she joined the Beast King in fighting against hundreds of Monsters that were trying to break past his defenses. "Do you want to have an all-out war against Lord Ashmedai?!"

"If you want someone to blame, blame your son, as well as your Lord Ashmedai," Tiruru replied in disdain. "We tried to negotiate for Erra's release. But since he declined our offer, we decided to also take something important from him.

"I know that the progeny of the Valentin Family is precious to him, so we will hit him where it hurts. Also, don't bother thinking that he will come to rescue you.

"Right now, a great battle is unfolding in the Lands of Saraqael because our Faction has allied with other Factions for a joint attack!"

"So you used that opportunity to break through the weave." Lady Catherine gritted her teeth in anger. "I will not let you take my great grandchildren!"

"That's not up to you," Tiruru replied with a sneer.

Seff and his family, who had already positioned themselves to protect the house with their lives, suddenly felt a devastating pressure slam against their bodies, making them stagger.

Lady Catherine's eyes widened in shock because she didn't expect that another Progenitor had come alongside Tiruru.

If Tiruru had come alone, she was still confident that she would be able to hold on for half an hour, buying enough time for reinforcements to come to their aid.

But this thought disappeared the moment the second Progenitor appeared.

Unlike Tiruru, the second one was more powerful, more deadly, and more malicious.

"Zabab!" Lady Catherine growled.

The most powerful Progenitor of the Plague Faction had come, which meant that even if she and Seff joined hands, it would be impossible for them to win against him.

"Stop playing, Tiruru," Zabab said coldly. "Don't underestimate Ashmedai."

"Fine~" Tiruru smiled sweetly.

The two Progenitors then moved at the same time.

Tiruru headed towards the Residence, while Zabab dealt with Seff and Lady Catherine, who were the most powerful beings in front of him.

A single punch and kick, sent both the two of them flying in different directions, making the defensive formation of Seff's Family crumble instantly.

Cries of alarm and shock could be heard in the house as Tiruru once again appeared with an unconscious young lady in her arms.

Lily had blood seeping at the corner of her lips, which made Zabab frown.

"Don't worry," Tiruru giggled. "I just gave her a gentle slap because she was being too stubborn."

Zabab nodded. Although he wasn't afraid of Ashmedai, he would still find it annoying if the Progenitor of Desire went all-out against them due to anger.

As long as they had the young lady and her unborn children in their hands, Ashmedai would be in a passive position when it came to the negotiation table.

At that moment, Zabab suddenly sensed a presence that was looking at him with killing intent.

"Get your filthy hands off of my wife!"

Ethan, who was in his spirit form, roared in anger as he charged down from the heavens.

"No! Ethan!" Lady Catherine, who was currently injured and leaning against a tree, shouted.

Zabab glanced at the approaching Astral Projection and scoffed.

He met Ethan's punch, with the palm of his hand, holding him in place.

"Tell your Patron God that if he wants to see us, he knows where to find us," Zabab stated before using his other hand to slap Ethan's Soul Projection away as if he was just dealing with a small fry.

However, at that moment, the image of an Eight-Winged Angel appeared behind Ethan, stopping Zabab's blow from dealing serious injury to Ethan's Soul.

A moment later, the Eight-Winged Angel grabbed hold of Ethan's soul, and threw him far away, preventing Zabab from attacking him once more.

Zabab snorted but he no longer made any move to attack Ethan. He simply rose toward the hole in the sky, returning to their domain.

The Gargoyles and Locusts also flew back to the sky, leaving only injured Beastkin in their wake.

A minute later, the sky repaired itself and returned to normal as if nothing had happened.

If not for the fact that there was a scene of carnage and destruction all over the territory of the Beast King, they would have thought that everything that happened was just a figment of their imagination.

Lady Catherine, who saw the Eight-Winged Being, bowed her head respectfully because she knew who he was.

It was none other than her Grandfather who had gone missing for a very long time.

"Catherine, worry not," the Eight-Winged Angel said. "Your daughter-in-law will not stay with them for a long time."

After saying those words, the Eight-Winged Angel vanished, leaving Seff and his family howling in anger, for the family member who was forcefully taken against her will.
