Strongest Spirit Beast Master Family

Chapter 373 Alchemist Assessment 8

"Young friend, aren't you going to open your hand?" Stone Yee, seemingly unaffected by Kartis Van's ridicule, continued smiling at Blaze Regret.

"Alas, this is all I could achieve on my first attempt at refining such a pill," Blaze Regret sighed helplessly, opening his palm to reveal a misshapen pill lying in his hand. It was covered in small, uneven bumps, looking very much like a failure.

"Can that even be called a pill?" Kartis Van reacted as if he had heard the biggest joke, an unmistakable disdain spreading across his face as he mercilessly mocked.

"The refinement of a Grade Four pill is indeed extremely difficult. To achieve this is already incredibly challenging. Back then, I too wasted over a hundred sets of materials to barely reach this level," Stone Yee said with a tinge of admiration, sighing lightly.

If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, it would have been hard for him to believe that Blaze Regret, on his first attempt at refining a Grade Four pill, could actually succeed in forming a pill. Although it was not perfect, it was undeniably a genuine Grade Four pill.

"Yes, with your talent, achieving this is already quite remarkable..."

Kartis Van was just about to continue undermining Blaze Regret's self esteem when his mocking expression suddenly froze. He then slowly looked at the pill in Blaze Regret's hand, exclaiming in shock, "This is a Grade Four pill? Impossible!"

He was reluctant to believe it, and he dared not accept it. Since his childhood, the Kartis family had retained a Grade Four alchemist at a high cost to personally teach him alchemy, which was why he could achieve such accomplishments at his age.

But Blaze Regret was merely someone from a small place, without any renowned alchemists or abundant cultivation resources. How could he possibly become a Grade Four alchemist?

"A Grade Four pill, this must be fake, it has to be fake..." Kartis Pian felt dizzy, as everyone knew what it meant to be a Grade Four alchemist at such a young age.

If nothing unexpected happened, Blaze Regret could even surpass Mut Zen, the empire's leading figure in alchemy, in the future! Explore hidden tales at empire

It's worth noting that even a genius like Mut Zen was only a newly minted Grade Three alchemist at Blaze Regret's age. Of course, the cultivation resources back then were far inferior to what they are now.

"Some things, I suppose, need not be said any further."

Stone Yee gave Blaze Regret a deep look, then waved his hand, causing a badge engraved with four golden stars to appear on Blaze Regret's chest.

Such pledges typically only bind freelance alchemists and hold no sway over individuals like Kartis Van. As Blaze Regret is the son froend of the ancient head of Angsana Pavilion, it's unlikely he would pose a threat to them in the future.

As he looked at the four star badge on Blaze Regret's chest, Kartis Van's face turned extremely sour. Although he was now a Grade Three alchemist, the path of alchemy becomes increasingly difficult. With his aptitude, breaking through to become a Grade Four alchemist would take at least another ten years.

Zang Dee, although shaken, did not lose her composure like Kartis Van. Having witnessed Blaze Regret's extraordinary soul power, she had already anticipated this outcome to some extent.

Of course, seeing it with her own eyes still left her deeply astonished.

"Master Stone Yee, can I receive the reward now?" Blaze Regret asked Stone Yee with a bashful smile.

Even though they were both Grade Four alchemists, there were still varying levels of strength. Stone Yee's alchemical skills were clearly at the pinnacle of the fourth tier, while Blaze Regret, being a somewhat inexperienced Grade Four alchemist, was still not quite at that level.

Thus, he never felt complacent just because he wore the same badge as Stone Yee.

"There's no rush for that. Kartis Van, Zang Dee, take your rewards and proceed ahead. Blaze Regret and I have some matters to discuss," Stone Yee said, turning his head slightly, with a calm demeanor.

"Honestly, can't you have a better attitude?" Zang Dee grumbled, puffing with annoyance as she accepted a bright red fruit.

"If my attitude were any better, you'd just take advantage of it, wouldn't you? Three years ago, just because I talked to you a little more, I ended up losing quite a lot of spiritual herbs to you," Stone Yee retorted with a good natured scolding, stroking his graying beard.

"Hmph," Zang Dee huffed, lifting her nose in a proud gesture, which left Stone Yee both exasperated and amused. She then glanced at Blaze Regret with a hint of deeper meaning before turning to leave.

"A month from now, it's time for the Kartis family trial, isn't it?"

As Kartis Van passed by Blaze Regret, he paused slightly, a faint trace of mockery appearing at the corner of his mouth. "Don't say I didn't warn you; be extra careful then. You wouldn't want to accidentally get killed by me."

Kartis Van gave Blaze Regret a look filled with feigned sympathy, then laughed heartily as he swaggered out of the Thousand Stone Hall.

"That line should have been mine to say," Blaze Regret remarked, watching Kartis Van's retreating figure with slight resignation. However, the sharp determination in his eyes was unmistakably clear.

In the hall, Stone Yee listened to the murmurs coming from Blaze Regret's throat and a flicker of surprise crossed his aged eyes. He was well aware of the upcoming Kartis family trial, and even knew secrets that Blaze Regret was unaware of. If Blaze Regret were to lose to Kartis Van, it wouldn't just be Blaze Ash's face that would be lost.

"Master Stone Yee, you didn't keep me here just to watch you daydream, did you?" Seeing Stone Yee lost in thought, Blaze Regret raised his eyebrows helplessly. He was eager to obtain the recipe for the Rock Cast Pill and then purchase the materials needed for alchemy.
