SSS Ranked Transmigration: Taming Beauties and The Beasts!

Chapter 172: A New Beginning: Hope, Prosperity, and Unity. (1)

Elara stepped forward, her eyes still glistening with emotion. She held a small, intricately wrapped box in her hands. "Cain," she began, her voice trembling slightly. "This is a small gift from me. It's not much, but it's something I've been working on for a while."

Cain took the box and opened it to reveal a beautifully crafted pendant shaped like the royal crest—the golden phoenix. The craftsmanship was exquisite, and Cain could tell how much effort Elara had put into it.

"Elara, this is incredible," Cain said, his voice filled with gratitude. "Thank you. I'll treasure it always."

Elara blushed, her heart swelling with happiness. "I'm just glad you like it."

Anya also stepped forward, her eyes filled with happiness. She held a wrapped box in her hands.

"I'm not as talented as Elara. That's why I can only buy this." She handed the box over as she looked down, feeling a bit sad that her present was something she had purchased rather than made herself.

Cain took the box and patted Anya's head. "It's okay. What matters the most is the intention behind it."

When Cain opened it, he saw a beautifully crafted jade shaped like a nine-tailed fox. From the quality alone, it was clear that Anya had spared no expense, as she had paid a high price for it previously when the ladies went shopping while Cain entertained the little girls.

"Thank you, Anya. I really like it," Cain said before looking down as he felt something tugging at his clothes.

Cain laughed and picked up Nix and Little White, hugging them as they rubbed their heads against his chest.

Garran and Arion, ever the mischievous duo, approached with grins on their faces. Garran held a large, ornate bottle of wine, while Arion carried a platter of delicious-looking pastries.

"We figured you'd need something to celebrate with," Garran said, handing the bottle to Cain.

"And something to eat after all that formal stuff," Arion added, setting up a few tables before placing the platter on one of them.

Before Cain could respond, the two little girls had already sat at the table, looking at the dishes with drool forming at the corners of their mouths.

"Ayla, Sylvia. You can't eat these," Cain said, shaking his head. He then took out dishes that he had saved specifically for the two little girls, as he had bought a lot of food before leaving the inn and heading back here.

After a few minutes of their little celebration, Cain returned to his position and looked out at the crowd below. They were celebrating on their own, having forgotten about any negative thoughts after hearing Cain's earlier words.

"Ahem. Can I get your attention for a moment, please?" Cain coughed, his gaze sweeping over the countless people who were dancing, drinking, and chatting happily.

The crowd immediately fell silent when the king spoke.

"As I said before, I have a lot of good news that I want to share with all of you now. First of all, the kingdom will grant full tax exemption starting from today."

When the crowd heard this, they were overjoyed, though some people began murmuring among themselves. The tax was one of the primary sources of income for the kingdom, and if Cain eliminated it, they were naturally concerned about the kingdom's long-term stability.

Pausing for a moment, Cain continued with a smile. "Don't worry about the effects that come with this decision, because you'll understand why soon. The second thing is about the end of the war. It literally means that there will be no more war, because I ended it a few hours ago."

Seeing the confusion among the crowd, Cain elaborated. "A few hours ago, I sent my subordinate to the Slegia Kingdom directly. He killed the king as well as some of the highest-ranking individuals in that kingdom who were involved in pushing the war against us."

As Cain said this, he threw a bag filled with the heads of those Dante had killed.

Someone from the crowd jumped forward and caught it. It was a middle-aged man in his early fifties, the head of one of the strongest families within the kingdom.

When he opened the bag, his eyes widened in surprise as he couldn't believe what he saw. Inside were several heads, one of which belonged to the king of the Slegia Kingdom.

He then took it out, raising it above his head as he shouted, "Long live the majesty!"

He had previously considered leaving the kingdom, but after hearing from one of the high-ranking officials about Cain's plans, he decided to stay for a while to see what would happen. Now, he was certain he had made the right choice.

Everyone immediately joined in, shouting happily in unison, relieved that the war, which had been a significant problem for so long, was finally over.

After letting them celebrate for a moment, Cain continued. "The third thing is that from now on, I can guarantee there will be no more wars. Our kingdom's strength is now something that no one can challenge. Not only that, our aim is not just to be listed among the third-rate forces anymore, but to become the strongest kingdom in this world!"

Cain snapped his fingers, and two people immediately appeared beside him, standing proudly as if it were their honor to be there at that moment.

"These two are my strongest subordinates, Anya and Fenix. Both of them have reached the Conqueror Rank and can be said to be at the pinnacle of this world." Cain patted their shoulders proudly, signaling them to release their strength so that the people would believe his words.

When Anya and Fenix released their strength, the entire crowd shivered, feeling pure terror as if they were ants that could be crushed by the duo at any moment.

After the duo retracted their strength, the crowd immediately cheered loudly, and not a single person harbored any negative thoughts about Cain or the future of the kingdom.

Initially, when Cain mentioned that there would be no more wars and that the kingdom aimed to be the strongest in the world, they thought he was merely boasting without any substance to back it up.

However, when Anya and Fenix released their strength, they were instantly overjoyed, even though they felt terrified by the duo's power. With both of them by his side, it was natural for Cain to declare that the kingdom's aim was to become the strongest.

With the duo's strength, everyone believed that their kingdom could at least be classified as one of the top forces in the world, and they would gain more resources in the future. It was no wonder Cain had declared the tax exemption, as the revenue from taxes would pale in comparison to the wealth they would acquire from subordinate forces in the surrounding regions.

Not only that, but even if the taxes were increased significantly, no one would object, as they would soon enjoy countless benefits from being residents of a top-tier force.

Cain waited for the cheers to subside before raising his hand to signal for silence once more. The crowd, still buzzing with excitement, quickly quieted down, their eyes fixed on their king with anticipation.

"There is more," Cain announced, his voice carrying a tone of determination and hope. "I understand that the strength of a kingdom lies not only in its leaders or its armies but in its people. To ensure that our kingdom continues to grow and thrive, I am announcing the establishment of new academies across the land—academies that will be free for all citizens and fully supported by the kingdom."

The crowd erupted into murmurs of surprise and excitement. Education had always been a privilege reserved for the wealthy or the noble-born, but Cain's declaration promised to change that.

"These academies will not only teach the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic but will also focus on nurturing the unique talents of every individual. Whether you have a gift for magic, swordsmanship, craftsmanship, and many more. These academies will provide the resources and guidance you need to excel. Our kingdom's future will be built on the talents of its people, and I will ensure that no one is left behind."

The announcement was met with thunderous applause. Parents hugged their children, imagining a brighter future for them. Young men and women who had once dreamed of greatness but lacked the means to pursue their ambitions now felt a renewed sense of hope.

Cain allowed the celebration to continue for a moment before raising his hand again. "But that's not all. I have more good news to share."

The crowd leaned in, eager to hear what else their king had in store for them.

"From this day forward, the kingdom will also provide free healthcare to all its citizens. No one should have to suffer or lose a loved one because they cannot afford treatment. We will build a Medical Hall in every city, town and village, staffed by the best healers and physicians. Your well-being is my priority."

The announcement was met with tears of joy and grateful shouts. Many in the crowd had experienced the pain of losing family members to illness or injury simply because they couldn't afford proper care. Cain's promise of free healthcare was a lifeline they had never dared to hope for.

Cain continued, his voice growing more passionate. "Furthermore, I am establishing a new initiative called the 'Kingdom Prosperity Fund.' This fund will provide financial support to farmers, merchants, and artisans to help them expand their businesses and improve their livelihoods. Whether you need better tools, seeds for your fields, or materials for your craft, the kingdom will support you. A thriving economy benefits us all, and I want every citizen to share in the prosperity of our kingdom."
