"What… what is happening?"

"What have I become?"

Happy's voice was barely above a whisper, trembling as he stared at his reflection—a bizarre half-human, half-dog creature. His wide, panicked eyes darted over his transformed features: the fur, the snout, the floppy ears. Each discovery only deepened his horror.

"Happy!"

"Happy!"

Pepper's voice cut through his growing panic, frantic and filled with concern. She called his name repeatedly, rushing to his side but stopping just short of touching him. She was as stunned as he was. Her mind reeled at the sight before her—her steadfast colleague now resembled a creature straight out of a surreal nightmare.

Then, like a light bulb flickering on, the memory hit her. 'Zoan-Type Devil Fruits!'

Just a few days ago, she had pored over the Devil Fruit catalog. She remembered vividly the section explaining the Zoan fruits—fruits that granted their users the traits and abilities of animals.

"Shopkeeper," she said urgently, snapping her attention to Rosh, "the fruit you just gave Happy—is it a Zoan-Type Devil Fruit?"

Rosh's expression remained calm, his tone as steady as ever. "That's correct, Pepper," he replied with a slight nod. "The fruit I gave Happy is indeed a Zoan-Type Devil Fruit: the Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Husky."

Finally, she exhaled deeply, a wave of relief washing over her. 'At least it's not something dangerous,' she thought.

"What are you talking about? Zoan-Type? Dog-Dog Fruit? What does any of this even mean?" Happy was utterly clueless, and his panic only grew with each passing second. A chilling thought struck him like a thunderbolt—'What if I'm stuck like this forever?'

"What did you make me eat?!" he demanded, his voice trembling with both anger and despair. "What have you done to me?" His wide, terrified eyes locked onto Rosh, searching for answers.

Rosh, unfazed by Happy's outburst, smirked playfully. "Happy, if you keep yelling and throwing a tantrum, I might just decide not to turn you back," he said, his tone light but teasing, as if addressing an unruly child.

Happy gasped audibly, freezing in place. He instinctively clapped his furry paws over his snout, his wide-eyed expression a mix of shock and dread. Not a single sound escaped him now, and despite his new dog-like features, the sheer panic on his face was unmistakably human.

The scene was too much for Pepper. "Pfft!" she burst out, unable to hold back her laughter any longer. She covered her mouth in a futile attempt to stifle her giggles, but her shoulders shook with mirth.

Even Rosh couldn't keep a straight face. His mischievous grin grew wider as he watched Happy's bravado crumble into abject fear. The transformation from cocky to completely flustered was so absurdly hilarious that he couldn't help but chuckle.

Happy's ears flattened against his head in embarrassment. "Pepper, what's so funny?!" he huffed, his tone indignant yet tinged with self-pity. "Fine, I get it—I look ridiculous!"

Then, turning back to Rosh, Happy's tone shifted entirely. The bravado was gone, replaced by a desperate plea. "Shopkeeper, I—I'm sorry for what I said earlier, okay? I didn't mean it! Please, I'm begging you… can you turn me back to normal? Pretty please?"

His wide, puppy-like eyes made his plea all the more pathetic, drawing another round of laughter from Pepper.

"Why? Weren't you just accusing me of being a fraud?" Rosh folded his arms across his chest, tilting his head slightly as he gave Happy an amused look.

Happy's ears—both literal and metaphorical—drooped in shame. "I was wrong! I misjudged you!" he exclaimed, his voice laced with desperation. "Look at me—I'm not the brightest guy, okay? Pepper calls me her colleague, but let's be honest—that's just her being polite. I'm just a driver! A clueless idiot who didn't know better. Please don't hold it against me!"

With his husky features twisted into an almost comically pitiful expression, Happy looked like he might start whining next. His tone was so apologetic it bordered on groveling.

Still struggling to contain her amusement, Pepper decided it was time to step in. "Alright, Shopkeeper," she said, suppressing a giggle, "I think he's learned his lesson. Let's not torment him anymore."

Rosh let out a soft chuckle. He turned back to Happy, a glint of humor in his eyes. "Happy," he said casually, "haven't you noticed? You're already back to normal."

"Huh?" Happy froze, blinking rapidly. The words didn't register immediately, but realization dawned on him as the seconds ticked by.

He flexed his fingers—yes, fingers! Not paws. The fur that had covered his body was gone. His claws had vanished.

Frantically, he reached up and touched his face. No floppy ears. No snout. His nose, his ears, his cheeks—everything was human again. His overwhelming desire to return to human form must have triggered the Devil Fruit's power, allowing him to transform back without even realizing it.

*Swoosh!*

In a flash, Happy bolted to the nearest mirror. He stared intently at his reflection, inspecting every inch of his face and body. It was unmistakably him—the same old Happy Hogan.

He patted his chest, letting out a massive sigh of relief. "Thank God," he muttered, his voice shaky but filled with gratitude.

Happy turned back to Rosh, his curiosity finally overtaking his panic. "So, Shopkeeper," he asked hesitantly, "what exactly did you make me eat? Was it really… a Devil Fruit?"

"Yes, Happy, it was the Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Husky," Rosh confirmed with a knowing smile, his eyes glinting with amusement. "So, how did it feel?"

Happy shuddered at the memory of his initial transformation. "Honestly? Like I just woke up from the worst nightmare of my life," he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck as if to shake off the lingering unease.

"And now?" Rosh asked, raising an eyebrow, his tone laced with subtle curiosity.

"Now?" Happy repeated, pausing for a moment. As he thought about it, realization dawned. The fear that had gripped him earlier was gone, replaced by a new understanding—he wasn't stuck in that form forever. The transformation was under his control.

His curiosity quickly overpowered his apprehension. "Alright, let's give this another shot," Happy muttered, determination flashing in his eyes.

Before anyone could say a word, Happy focused, and within moments, his human form was gone, replaced once again by the muscular, fur-covered body of his husky transformation.

This time, there was no fear—only fascination. He flexed his paws, testing the limits of his new body. The raw strength he felt coursing through him was incredible, like nothing he had ever experienced before.

*Thud! Thud!*

Happy began throwing punches into the air, the sheer force of each swing causing sharp, audible whooshes. He grinned, exhilarated by his newfound power.

Without thinking, he bolted out of the shop, his speed blindingly fast. Spotting a sturdy-looking tree nearby, he planted his feet and unleashed a powerful punch.

*Crack! Crack!*

The tree trembled violently under the impact, its trunk splintering slightly. Leaves rained down like confetti, scattering around him.

"HOLY SHIT!" Happy gasped, stumbling back as he stared at his paws in disbelief. The power he had just unleashed was both exhilarating and terrifying.

"Yeah," Happy murmured, still gazing at his paws. "This power—it's insane. Terrifying, but... insane."

"So this… is the Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Husky?" he muttered, his voice a mix of awe and disbelief. For the first time, he truly understood the potential of Devil Fruits.

"Shopkeeper!" Happy burst back into the store, his excitement practically spilling over as he skidded to a stop in front of Rosh.

"Hey… what's going on? Why did I turn back into a human? I didn't want to yet! Shouldn't this thing obey my commands?"

He waved his arms around in frustration, clearly flustered. "And now I can't transform again!"

Happy's perplexity was written all over his face. Just moments ago, he'd been reveling in the strength and speed of his husky form. But then, out of nowhere, he'd reverted to his regular self, and no amount of effort seemed to bring the transformation back.
