Chapter 25: Para Para Fruit
'Maybe…just maybe,' he contemplated, his heart pounding with anticipation, 'I could become like the heroes in those epic movies I used to watch back home. A god of wars, standing tall against the forces of evil, mystical powers dancing at my fingertips.'
The thought sent a shiver down his spine, filling his journey with a sense of mysticism and intrigue.
The idea of battling demons and beasts, harnessing his chi, and casting spells was both terrifying and exhilarating.
'Alright,' Wu Xie muttered to himself, his voice filled with determination, 'let's see what this cultivation thing is all about. Who knows? Maybe I'll surprise myself.'
Lost in his thoughts, Wu Xie barely noticed the curious glances of passersby as he made his way through the busy streets.
The academy loomed ahead, its grand gates beckoning him forward into a world of ancient knowledge and untapped potential.
With a deep breath, Wu Xie squared his shoulders and stepped through the gates, ready to embark on a journey unlike any other.
Little did he know, the path he was about to tread would lead him into the depths of mystery, danger, and the true power of cultivation.
As he ventured deeper into the academy grounds, surrounded by towering spires and whispered legends of ancient masters, Wu Xie couldn't shake the feeling of being a stranger in a strange land.
Yet, despite his lack of knowledge and the daunting challenges ahead, there was a glimmer of excitement in his eyes.
As Wu Xie stepped into the lush grounds of the Lushan Academy, his eyes widened at the sight of Zhang practicing his sword art with fluid precision.
The sound of steel slicing through the air echoed around them, filling Wu Xie with a sense of awe and determination.
'I'll be able to do that one day,' he thought to himself, feeling the stirrings of ambition within him.
Lost in his thoughts, Wu Xie suddenly realized that he didn't even have a sword of his own yet. Just as the realization dawned on him, Zhang noticed his presence and called out, "Hey, Wu Xie! You're back!"
Wu Xie hurried over to Zhang, his curiosity piqued. "Yes, I'm back," he replied.
Zhang asked him about his sudden disappearance, "Did you also go to find the 'Paramecia Fruit'?"
Wu Xie looked at Zhang with a puzzled expression, "... 'Paramecia Fruit'? What's that?"
Zhang raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "No need to play dumb, Wu Xie. Everyone knows about the 'Paramecia Fruit.' It's the talk of the town, blooming once in a while, and now everyone's searching high and low for it."
Wu Xie scratched his head, feeling a bit out of the loop. "Oh... well, I'll keep an eye out for it then," he said with a shrug, making a mental note to ask more about this mysterious fruit later.
As they chatted, Dan entered the academy grounds. Wu Xie's face lit up at the sight of his friend, and he hurried over to greet him with a warm hug. "Dan! How was your visit home?"
Dan returned the hug, a grin spreading across his face. "It was great, thanks for asking. But enough about me, what have you been up to these days?"
Wu Xie's mind raced for a moment, trying to come up with a suitable answer. Then, with a mischievous glint in his eyes, he changed the subject abruptly.
"Oh, forget about me! Tell me, did you manage to find that 'Para Para Fruit' everyone's after?"
Dan burst into laughter, shaking his head at Wu Xie's playful antics. "Haha, it's not 'Para Para Fruit,' it's 'Paramecia Fruit.' And no, it's not as easy to find as you think."
Just then, a loud, resonant bell rang out across the academy grounds, its sound reverberating through the air. It was the signal for all students to gather in the Hall of Mystical Reflection.
"Well, looks like it's time to go," Zhang said, sheathing his sword and gesturing towards the direction of the hall.
Wu Xie nodded, his curiosity piqued. "The Hall of Mystical Reflection... sounds intriguing," he mused, falling into step with Zhang and Dan as they made their way towards the heart of the academy.
The anticipation of what awaited them inside the hall filled the air with an electric buzz of excitement and mystery.
Wu Xie glanced around, taking in the sea of unfamiliar faces that filled the Hall of Mystical Reflection.
