Deep in a secluded forest, where not even a single ray of light could pierce through the thick canopy, a lone boy stood amidst towering trees. He wore a traditional Gi, his black spiky hair swaying lightly as the wind passed through the trees. His sharp eyes, gleaming with intelligence and ferocity, held a single yellow star at their center, glowing faintly in the dim surroundings.

He steadied himself, his stance firm yet fluid. His left arm was bent, fist facing upward.

"Fist of the Black Turtle," he muttered.

With a single punch, the air in front of him distorted, and moments later, multiple trees collapsed like dominos, their trunks splintering as they crashed into the forest floor.

He transitioned seamlessly, pivoting on his foot as he raised his leg.

"Kick of the Phoenix," he called out.

The ground beneath him cracked as he stomped down, generating an immense upward gust of wind that rustled the treetops violently, sending leaves flying in all directions.

His movements flowed like water, his body gliding effortlessly as he unleashed a flurry of strikes.

"Dance of the White Tiger," he whispered, fists and legs moving in perfect harmony, delivering countless rapid blows into the air, each movement more precise than the last.

Finally, he pulled both arms back, his muscles tensing before he opened them vertically.

"Azure Dragon."

A deafening boom echoed through the entire forest, shaking the earth. The very land in front of him was torn apart, leaving behind nothing but a barren wasteland where lush greenery once stood.

As the golden rays of dawn broke through the treetops, casting a warm glow upon the destruction he had caused, the boy wiped the sweat from his brow and exhaled deeply.

"It's been five years since I was born here," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "And now, I've finally mastered Kyokushin Karate."

Yes, this boy was none other than Jin Mori. Despite being only five years old, he had fully mastered the ancient martial art and had just completed his first system quest.

Before Mori could process his achievements, a sudden warmth spread through his body. His muscles twitched, his bones vibrated, and a newfound power surged within him.

His gaze drifted toward his empty hands, and an idea struck him.

"I should be able to wield the fake Yeoui now, right?" he mused.

Without hesitation, he mentally summoned his weapon.

A thin yet tall stone staff materialized in the air before crashing into his hands. The moment he caught it, his arms plummeted downward, the sheer weight of the weapon nearly crushing him. His entire body trembled as he struggled to lift it.

"Ugh… Damn, this thing is heavier than I thought," Mori muttered through gritted teeth.

Refusing to give up, he forced himself to swing it. Slow, steady movements at first, but with each repetition, he grew more accustomed to its weight. His arms screamed in protest, yet he persisted.

Each swing generated immense gusts of wind, rustling the trees, bending them under the sheer force. Leaves were blown away, the very ground beneath him trembled.

After what felt like an eternity, his muscles burned with exhaustion.

Panting, he finally stored the stone staff back into his inventory.

"Man, my arms are so sore," Mori groaned internally. "I'm five years old, even with the Stone Monkey Body, I shouldn't be swinging something that weighs 10,000 pounds."

Still, despite his complaints, he couldn't deny the thrill of wielding such raw power.

Just as he was about to head home, a faint scream echoed in the distance.

Mori's enhanced senses immediately kicked in. His ears twitched, his sharp eyes scanning the area as he focused on the sound.

Someone was in trouble.

Ignoring his sore limbs, he sprinted toward the noise, weaving between trees, his feet barely making a sound against the forest floor. The scent of iron—thick, suffocating—filled the air, making his stomach churn.

As he neared the source, he spotted dark red stains splattered across tree trunks. His heart pounded.

And then he saw it.

A grotesque figure hunched over a pile of mutilated corpses. Its grey skin stretched over its skeletal frame, its elongated claws drenched in crimson. The sound of bones snapping and flesh being torn apart echoed through the silent woods.

A demon.

It feasted on a severed arm, sharp teeth effortlessly tearing through muscle and bone.

Mori's stomach lurched, his body trembling. The sight, the smell, the sickening sound—it was too much.

He doubled over, violently puking onto the ground. His ears rang, his vision blurred.

"Man, the anime was way more censored than this," he thought, trying to shake the nausea away.

The demon's blood-red eyes snapped toward him.

It grinned.

"A new meal has arrived?" it sneered, licking its lips.

Mori barely had time to react before it lunged at him, claws extended.

His instincts screamed.

He ducked, narrowly avoiding a fatal strike. He stumbled backward, forcing himself to regain composure.

"This is reality… not fiction anymore," he whispered, taking a deep breath.

His trembling hands steadied. His stance lowered.

The demon circled him, its predatory gaze locking onto him.

"You're quite fast for a human" the Demon said with a smile while drooling, "you smell amazingly delicious too..."

Mori didn't need to turn his head—his 360° vision ensured that he saw every movement.

The moment the demon pounced, he vanished.

A blur. A gust of wind.

The demon barely registered the movement before its world went dark.

"Fist of the Black Turtle."

A devastating punch obliterated the demon's torso, sending chunks of flesh flying. Only its dismembered arms and legs remained, twitching on the ground.

Mori exhaled sharply, turning away.

But then—

The body regenerated.

A punch shot toward him.

He weaved to the side, lifting his leg high before stomping down.

"Kick of the Phoenix."

A violent updraft launched the demon into the air. Mori wasted no time.

"Dance of the White Tiger!"

A relentless barrage of punches and kicks pummeled the demon mid-air, its body breaking apart with every strike.

As its mangled form plummeted toward the earth, Mori opened his hands, his expression unreadable.

"Azure Dragon."

A devastating force obliterated the demon entirely.

Or so he thought.

From the scattered remains, the demon reformed.

"HOW DARE Y—"

Before it could finish, the sun's rays peeked through the shattered treetops.

The demon's scream was cut short as its body ignited. In seconds, it turned to dust.

Mori collapsed to his knees, his hands shaking.

"I… I killed someone," he muttered.

No.

Not someone. A demon.

He slapped his face, forcing himself to stand.

With slow, deliberate steps, he walked home.

As he entered the house, he kicked off his shoes.

"I'm home!" he called out, forcing a wide, goofy grin.

He ran into the kitchen, immediately hugging Kanae and Shinobu.

Kanae, now ten years old, stiffened. She caught the scent instantly.

"Mori," she said, her voice sharp. "Why do you smell like blood?"

Her hands moved quickly, checking his body for wounds.

Mori chuckled sheepishly, scratching the back of his head.

"I ran into a grey-skinned guy," he lied. "He was eating people, and he attacked me, so I ran away!"

Kanae's expression darkened.

Gripping his hand, she turned to Shinobu.

"Both of you, pack your things," she said firmly.

"We're leaving tomorrow… and we won't be coming back for a while."

With that, both Shinobu and Mori went to pack their bags and went on their journey the very next day.
