Renewal Taekwondo in Multiverse

Chapter 2: Demon Slayer

As Mori opened his eyes for the first time in his new life, the blurred outlines of a woman came into view. Her face was streaked with tears, but despite her sorrow, her gaze was filled with overwhelming warmth and maternal love.

"My sweet baby…" she whispered, her voice trembling with both affection and grief. "I'm so sorry… your father and I are leaving so soon… I wish we could have stayed and watched you grow… I love you so, so much… Please, my precious child, make sure to eat every day, sleep well at night, and stay safe…"

She pressed a weak, shaking hand against his tiny body before her breathing slowed. The light in her eyes dimmed, and with a final exhale, she fell into a peaceful, eternal slumber.

Mori, still in his infant form, felt something wet roll down his cheeks. Tears. His tiny body trembled as he cried uncontrollably, an unfamiliar ache spreading through his chest. In his past life, he had been an orphan—alone in a world that had never shown him kindness. He had never known the warmth of a mother's love. But in this brief moment, before she passed, she had given him something he never thought he would experience—unconditional love.

Her face was burned into his mind, every detail seared into his memory.

"Sure, Mom…" he thought through his sobs. "I'll take care of myself… Sleep well…"

His cries eventually faded into the silence of the room, exhaustion claiming him as he drifted into a dreamless sleep.

---

Hours later, Mori woke up. Though the sting of his mother's passing was still fresh, his infant mind couldn't fully grasp the weight of grief. His small hands rubbed at his tear-stained cheeks before he took in his surroundings.

Everything around him was made of wood. The walls, the furniture, even the crib he was swaying in. The scent of old pine filled the air.

"An orphanage…?" The thought passed through his mind as he tried to make sense of his new reality.

Just then, the wooden door creaked open. A soft breeze drifted in, carrying the scent of fresh flowers, and with it came a woman—no, a young girl.

She was stunning, with an ethereal presence that made her seem almost otherworldly. Her long black hair cascaded past her waist, adorned with delicate butterfly accessories. Her deep pink and black eyes shimmered with kindness, and the haori she wore bore a butterfly pattern, adding to her graceful yet commanding aura.

Mori's eyes widened in recognition.

"Kanae Kocho…" he muttered in his head. "Demon Slayer..." was all he could think of.

In her arms, she cradled another baby—a small girl with features similar to her own. Mori instantly knew who she was.

Shinobu Kocho.

Kanae's soft, melodic voice broke the silence.

"Awake already?" she said gently, walking toward the crib. Her steps were light, almost as if she was floating.

She carefully placed Shinobu beside him before lifting Mori into her arms. Her warm embrace was soothing, and she gazed at him with the same loving expression his mother had given him before she passed.

"Hello, little one," she whispered, rocking him gently. "My name is Kanae, and from now on, you will be my little brother."

Mori blinked up at her in surprise.

"You'll be called Jin… Jin Mori," she declared with a soft smile.

Mori felt something stir in his chest. A new family. A new life.

Kanae picked up a milk bottle from beside the crib and gently placed it near his mouth. Instinctively, Mori opened his mouth and began drinking. His tiny hands gripped her sleeve as he fed, his eyes fluttering shut in contentment.

Kanae chuckled, finding his expression adorable. She playfully poked his nose, her touch light and affectionate.

"Grow up strong, okay?" she murmured, a hint of sadness in her voice.

She watched in awe as Mori finished the entire bottle with ease. Then, to her surprise, he reached for another. With amusement, she obliged, feeding him a second bottle. By the time he finished, he had drifted off into a peaceful sleep in her arms.

"He's going to be big and strong," she whispered, holding him close.

---

From that day on, Mori's life followed a simple routine.

Wake up. Drink milk. Play with Shinobu and Kanae. Crawl around and practice moving his legs.

At only three months old, he started attempting to walk, determined to strengthen his body as much as possible before his system activated.

By the time he was a year old, he had fully mastered walking and had started training in secret, using every opportunity to push his body to its limits. Every time he took a step, he thought of the martial arts he would one day wield. Every moment he spent in silence, he visualized himself training, preparing for the moment he could finally start his journey toward strength.

Kanae had also begun her training, and Mori would often watch her from afar alongside Shinobu. Shinobu, completely mesmerized by her older sister, had started to develop the desire to follow in her footsteps.

Despite the tragic loss of his birth parents, Mori had found comfort in his new family. The bond between him, Kanae, and Shinobu grew stronger with each passing day.

---

On the night of his first birthday, as Mori was about to fall asleep, something unexpected happened.

A clear, melodic sound rang in his mind.

DING!

Mori's eyes snapped open.

Without hesitation, he called out mentally, "Status!"

In an instant, a translucent, bright blue screen materialized before him.

hello hello, for those of you who are pressed or confused, the story of Demon Slayer will completely be different since he's born and this is like his training arc, The God of highschool martial arts are extremely powerful and taxing, even in the original Manhwa, daewi was constantly getting injured by his own attacks cause his body was too weak, that was until he turned into the Jade Emperor where he had the cloak to protect him, basically the entire world of Demon Slayer is kind of a training arc for the real strong worlds
