Chapter 479: Elder Golem Wardens
The Elder Golem Wardens could be considered the final obstacle in hindering them from approaching the oppressive pillar.
Compared to regular golems, they were larger, heavily armored golems with glowing green eyes and reinforced stone plating. Their health points and attributes were decently high, along with many abilities in their kits.
However, the most annoying ones that they needed to watch out for were the Golem Crush, Stonewall Barrier, and Mana Drain Aura.
Golem Crush could easily disrupt their formation and prevent their coordination from perfecting, and the Stonewall Barrier could isolate them.
As for the Mana Drain Aura, as the name itself described, it would reduce the player's mana regeneration rates within a certain radius. And with the debuff and numerous status ailments active, this ability was the most nuisance and tedious to deal with.

"The tank's job in this particular battle is the most crucial one." Xu Feng spoke softly and warned.
"The tanks must ensure that these Elder Golem Wardens do not approach the DPS within a certain range, otherwise, our damage would suffer heavily. Aside from that, the tanks cannot randomly use their skills wantonly."
When Xu Feng got to that part, his eyes particularly gazed at Iceheart, who simply loved to be a chaotic barbarian type of player.
Iceheart pursed her lips in annoyance at his targeting. "Relax, I won't do that playstyle if I know it would harm the coordination and the battle itself."
"Great, but I'm not directing it to you alone." Xu Feng shrugged, seemingly acting innocent in her defense.
"..."
Once again, Iceheart realized that speaking up was another mistake.
There was just no way she could properly communicate with him without feeling frustrated and angry. She truly disdained even talking with Xu Feng for longer than 3 seconds at this moment.
While Iceheart stayed silent, Xu Feng began organizing their position. In hindsight, the tanks would do the heavy lifting in this raid and the DPS must be careful of the spells they cast.
"Aside from casting, you must ensure your accuracy stays above 60%." Xu Feng warned calmly.
Upon the warning, SilentWhisper and Veronica frowned a bit, mainly because their accuracy was the lowest in the group.
Amidst their nervousness, Carmen suddenly patted on their shoulders.
"Relax yourself and just launch your spell when you're 90% sure that it will land. There's no need to spam and waste your mana pointlessly." She lightly said, seemingly trying to ease their nerves.
"Lunar Wraith is right." Xu Feng nodded in agreement.
"There's no need to emphasize that." Carmen hissed coolly, still recalling the time when she got lectured by him in regard to her accuracy. Although it wasn't harsh, it wasn't a delight either.
Sometime later, the group composed themselves and the tanks gazed at each other.
With a simple nod, they all started to charge toward battle. Of course, they didn't shout like a dumbass and alert them all at once.
Instead, Ardent Lance cleverly found a more isolated Elder Golem Warden and activated his taunt skill to take the aggro.
Upon the activation of his taunt skill, the Elder Golem Warden who was patrolling a certain area, was immediately drawn by Ardent Lance's presence.
The Elder Golem Warden halted in its path, its glowing green eyes flickering to life with a dark intensity. As its eyes locked on Ardent Lance, the stone plates shifted in form, seemingly ready to engage the intruder.
"I've got its attention." Ardent Lance quickly informed the rest from behind, his hand holding tightly on his shield. Iceheart and Zhao Kai swiftly got into position as well, defending Ardent Lance from any flank attack.
The trio now formed a peripheral-like barrier, defending the backline from being approached by the enemy.
In response to the intruders, the Elder Golem Warden aka EGW, made a deep and resonating growl. It slammed its stone foot heavily into the ground, sending a wave of tremors outward.
"Careful, it's the Golem Crush that the Raid Leader warned us about!" Ardent Lance exclaimed.
"We're not blind," Iceheart rolled her eyes, keeping her balance steady and ensuring that there were no gaps on her side.
Zhao Kai didn't even bother to respond and slammed his shield straight to the ground, preventing the tremor from affecting his balance. At the same time, the shield placement would be a good protection for the backline.
Amidst their preparation, the ground beneath them continuously shook violently as cracks formed, the shockwave forcing players in the vicinity to brace themselves or risk being knocked down.
Ardent Lance held firm, his shield absorbing the brunt of the force, while Iceheart suddenly narrowed her eyes and took advantage of the moment to charge forward, swinging her Claymore with reckless abandon.
"What are you doing Iceheart?" Ardent Lance shouted in disbelief. Just earlier, Xu Feng had heavily emphasized them to not act impulsively and to coordinate properly.
The backline was also stupefied by Iceheart's action.
Why did she suddenly neglect the right side that she was supposed to be standing in?
"Oh dear, she's disobeying the Raid Leader's order again," SilentWhisper murmured in shock and disbelief. She can't even fathom the consequences that were about to befall on Iceheart.
"Raid Leader?" Meanwhile, Carmen turned her attention to Xu Feng, seemingly wondering what he would do.
And contrary to everyone's belief that Xu Feng was about to rain hell on Iceheart, he remained calm and nodded his head.
"It seems I have miscalculated a little bit." Xu Feng spoke up softly.
"Iceheart isn't disobeying my order on purpose, but rather she noticed something was amiss."
"She noticed something?"
As everyone became startled by Xu Feng's words, the EGW stone chest area started churning and glowing brightly. It appeared as if the EGW was cooking a powerful laser-type attack on them.
However, Iceheart managed to close the gap between them in time due to her advancement.
"Not on my watch!" Iceheart coldly sneered and swung her Claymore in time, causing a change in the EGW's trajectory. The EGW was knocked backward and crashed in an upward position.
What followed afterward was its stone chest blasting a beam of light straight to the sky, damaging the ceiling heavily. The impact astonished most of the players on the scene.
