With DeathLingers only having a little bit of health points left, completely unable to resist after getting severely weakened by Xu Feng's Aura of Fear, he could only glance at Veronica.

"You can kill me, but that should be as far as you can go." DeathLingers said weakly, advising Veronica to ponder her actions very carefully.

What he meant was that the incident here should end with his death and no more. Having been discovered as a rat and failed his mission, death was already expected.

Thus, the Eternal Guild wouldn't do anything else.

However, if they continued further and provoked the Eternal Guild, DeathLingers could imagine what his guild would do in retaliation.

"Look at you, still having the energy to advise our Guild Commander's friend?" Zhao Kai laughed chillingly as he nearly wanted to stomp on DeathLingers' face, but refrained.

It wasn't that he was afraid of the retaliation, but rather he was afraid that his stomp would inadvertently kill him and steal the experience points.

"Anyway, Vortex Viper, feel free to relax yourself and get these free experience points. If anything, the Vanguard Guild would cover for you." He smiled amiably to Veronica and reassured her.

Perplexed and stunned by the scene, Veronica knew that if she didn't take this strike, then her relationship with the Vanguard Guild would become strained. By then, it would turn really awkward for her friend, Carmen.

"Very well, but can I just cast a spell?" Veronica became determined but still preferred to keep her hands clean from physically using her staff to smack DeathLingers to death.

Realization quickly dawned upon Zhao Kai when he realized he might have overreached by making such a demand.

"Ah, my bad. Yes, you can just cast a spell instead." Zhao Kai scratched his head and smiled somewhat apologetically for his barbaric manner which had been heavily influenced by Xu Feng's method.

With that being said, Veronica nodded and cast a weaker spell directed at DeathLingers.

As the spell conjured and flew toward him, DeathLingers didn't even bat an eyelid as he got hit by the spell, effectively losing all of his health points. As he slowly plopped to the ground, there was still a brief moment of clarity.

His eyes were locked on the afar Xu Feng, seemingly pondering over his reaction to his statement or subtle threat.

A second later, DeathLingers corpse lay flat on the ground as he turned into a ghost-like form.

Subsequently, he began to see Zhao Kai kicking his corpse left and right.

"Hey, you got a revival item, right? Go ahead and revive yourself for this Daddy!" Zhao Kai snickered coldly, raised his right foot, and stomped straight at DeathLingers' face.

Stupefied in his ghost-like form, DeathLingers was in disbelief at his blatant disrespectfulness toward a corpse. Just imagine if this was the real world and wasn't in the game, then such a person would be classified as a psychopath.

'Both of them are really not right in their brain!' DeathLingers exclaimed inwardly.

While DeathLingers was having such thoughts, Xu Feng, on the other hand, had managed to assist the rest in dealing with the weakened Gargoyles with extreme ease.

The only downside was that his Aura of Fear finally ran out and was placed in a cooldown of 24 hours.

"Are you feeling better now?" Carmen asked in concern.

"Of course, your fellow Guild Commander merely overreacted." Xu Feng lightly chuckled and brushed the matter off.

Sure, he was a bit agitated for a while there, but it was only very briefly.

By the time he unleashed Aura of Fear, Xu Feng had already calmed down and was merely in deep thought on how to teach the Eternal Guild a harsh lesson.

As for DeathLingers?

This lowly assassin was not worth his attention.

"Are you sure you're fine?" Clearly skeptical, Carmen positioned herself to block off his sight from seeing DeathLingers corpse.

"Why wouldn't I be fine?" Xu Feng was amused as he lightly flickered her forehead.

He then turned to the rest who were currently resting on the ground, "I'm sure many here have been wondering why the Oppressive Pillar had not been cleared yet. Well, the truth was, I've been searching for the rats."

"So the Raid Leader knew it wasn't just the Astral Guild and the Sky Hunters Adventure Team?"

Astonishment erupted among them as they all knew a little bit of the undercurrent, but none had thought there were actually more saboteurs aside from them.

Toward their doubts, Xu Feng had to recall the time when he received the list of people or groups who had arrived at Star Falls City.

There were precisely two groups that almost everyone knew were affiliated with the Reaver Guild.

So how did the latter expect to cause any damage to them?

And the truth was that the Reaver Guild didn't expect them to do any damage at all in the first place. They were merely decoys or baits thrown at him to cause him to lower his guard.

To confirm his suspicion, Xu Feng even repeatedly tested Soulstrider and Emberwolf, with the former even deciding to jump ship. Otherwise, how would he have known about Emberwolf's position and sparing Spirit Fang's life?

His suspicion continued further when Emberwolf, who had nearly lost his sanity, warned him about another hidden saboteur. The suspects he had in mind were the Phoenix Guild, Starlight Guild, Dark Legion Guild, and Eternal Guild.

As for the other Adventure Teams, aside from Sky Hunters. The rest weren't suspected because they wouldn't do something foolish like making an enemy of an Overlord unless they had no choice like the Sky Hunters.

'I had thought Iceheart was the rat, but after numerous tests, she was just the typical ice beauty.' Xu Feng nearly laughed when he remembered her pitiful sight. Nevertheless, he was still grateful for Iceheart's genuine and somewhat naive behavior.

After all, with Iceheart's suspicion eliminated, there remained only one suspect: the Eternal Guild.

"Wait a minute, Raid Leader. Are you saying you have been delaying because there are actually three rats?" Carmen paused for a second and inquired.

"You're still too inexperienced when dealing with schemes." Xu Feng explained.

"Emberwolf and Soulstrider are decoys while the real saboteur is the concealed one. I can't afford to advance the raid too fast until I can figure out the rat."
