Reincarnated into a World Filled with Dungeons, But My Blessing Turned Out to Be the Most Challenging Dungeon

Chapter 35

“What kind of power is this?”

Since I didn’t quite understand how to use it from Eve’s explanation, I decided to ask.

“It’s exactly as the name suggests. It’s the power to create illusions that confuse and mislead the target. May I use it?”

It was better to understand the power first.

“Yeah, go ahead.”

Once I gave permission, the scene in front of me suddenly changed dramatically.

“Wow… this is nostalgic.”

It was the cityscape from my original world. Cars were driving by, and businessmen and office workers in suits were crossing a scramble intersection. It was definitely a scene I couldn’t see in this world.

“I recreated this based on Master’s memories.”

I reached out to touch a car parked in front of me, but, of course, I couldn’t touch it. After all, it was an illusion.

Eve kept changing the scenes in front of me, one after another.

Familiar city streets, indoor facilities, and even an aurora floating in a natural landscape I’d never been to.

“It’s all created from my memory and knowledge to some extent.”

No wonder—though I’d seen it on TV, I had never seen an aurora in person.

Eventually, the slideshow seemed to finish, and we were back in the original room.

“I see. This is powerful. Being able to show illusions to a target opens up all sorts of possibilities.”

Having understood the method from watching Eve, I decided to try it myself. I imagined a movie theater, dimmed the surroundings, and then a screen appeared, projecting a movie.

It was an old favorite from my past.

“Since I can pull from my memories, that means I could recreate all the movies I’ve watched, huh?”

I was projecting a scene I remembered, but with Eve’s help, I could probably dredge up deeper memories.

“Yes, the base is your memory, so the variety might be limited, but it is possible.”

I didn’t have many entertainment options since I’d spent most of my time working, but still, being able to relive entertainment from this world again would be a luxury.

Once I was settled, I made up my mind to enjoy this ability once I had the time…

“Ah, wait… maybe…”

Eve seemed to have come up with something.

“Hey, Eve. Can I sleep now?”

“Please wait just a little longer. I’m almost finished with the adjustment.”

It had been an hour since then, and since Eve had something she wanted to try, I had been helping her with it. By the way, I had asked Eve to keep watch outside, but she had replaced herself with Kaiser, saying, “I need to concentrate.”

Though Kaiser had been half asleep, he rubbed his face against my clothes, opened his eyes, and without complaining, went outside to take over.

What a well-behaved, cute guy.

So, I was waiting for Eve’s idea to be finished, but as there was nothing to do, sleepiness began to hit me all at once. Eventually, I couldn’t hold back a yawn, and as I lay down with my eyes closed, I was about to drift off into a happy dream…

“Master. Wake up.”

I was shaken awake. Something hard touched my back. Eve was talking to me, disturbing my sleep.

“Geez, Eve, I’m already exhausted. Let’s finish this tomorrow…”

I waved my arm as if brushing her off, opened my eyes, and looked in her direction.

“Huh?”

“Sorry to keep you waiting, Master. This is what I wanted you to see.”

There, standing before me, was an unbelievably beautiful girl. She looked about the same age as me.

Her golden hair reached down to her waist, and her blue eyes sparkled. Her lips were a soft pink, and she wore a pure white dress. Her features were perfectly symmetrical, and her gestures were graceful.

She was an angel who fit my tastes perfectly.

“…Is this a dream?”

I must have fallen asleep without realizing it and was dreaming. After all, there’s no way such a flawless, otherworldly beautiful girl could exist. I concluded this in my mind.

“Don’t worry, Master. This isn’t a dream. It’s me, Eve.”

The beautiful girl in front of me introduced herself.

“Eve?”

“Yes. I combined the elements you find most appealing from your memories and recreated the optimal appearance. How do you like it?”

She looked up at me with a playful smile. Hearing her voice, I could definitely feel it was Eve.

“I see. That’s a surprising use of illusion magic.”

“You are quite perceptive, Master.”

As long as I allowed it, Eve could use the core’s power. She could use it to cast attack magic to fend off monsters, or clean the room with support magic.

“This magic allows me to show you a false image. So, I thought that by projecting an image I envisioned, I might be able to communicate with you more effectively.”

She proudly placed her hand over her chest. Although her voice was unmistakably Eve’s, seeing her face added a new layer of freshness to the experience.

Her voice was that of the voice actress I liked most from my original world, and her body was the embodiment of my ideal. No wonder I was drawn to her.

“What was with the shaking earlier?”

There was no way she used her hands to shake me, right?

“That was from moving a part of the room. I intended to recreate the feel of a human hand by adjusting the hardness, but it still needs some improvement.”

She had gone so far as to make these improvements—where was she aiming with this? As I looked at Eve’s determined face, I couldn’t help but smile.

“Well, at least it makes for a nice eye candy.”

Now that I could communicate with Eve at eye level, a smile naturally crept onto my face.
