Semilia put Alice to bed and stayed to keep an eye on her, just in case. Still, she had been through a lot for a seventeen year old girl, there was nothing to say.
I went to a small abandoned building on the border of Metropolis. I think it would be a good place to summon a bunch of weird and murky types. Now I'm going to call up the ones I planned to add to my squad, and tomorrow I'll rent a spacious flat in the centre of the city, and put my new slaves and subordinates there. Yeah, subordinates, that's right, ahahahahahahahaha.
Well, I'll definitely pay their wages, so it's fine. Because if I pay them with food, I'll get a guilty conscience. I'm not some kind of psycho or supervillain to force people I don't know to work for me, even though they are obliged to obey me.
When I arrived at the right place, I looked around and realised that it was perfect for me. An old abandoned and crumbling place, where there are not even bums and drug addicts. So no unnecessary eyes should be expected. Purely theoretically, my brother or Kra could spot me if they followed me, but I trust in their integrity.
Standing in the dark corner, I immediately summoned the first character, which I chose to be Stolic Hassan.
A summoning into the character's world is performed.
The character is entered into the universe.
A flash of light, and in front of me appears not one, but immediately several dozen dark-skinned people in assassin suits and bone masks on their faces. In the middle of them all, as if leading them, stands a violet-haired girl in the same outfit.
- Greetings, Master," they spoke at the same time, confusing me a little. When several people speak at the same time and with the same intonation, there is some dissonance inside.
- Okay, which one of you is in charge? - I asked, looking at the girl. As I expected, she immediately stepped forward, looking at me.
- What should I call you? - I asked her.
- Table Hassan or just Assassin, I don't care, - she answered, looking at me indifferently.
- Okay, you do realise that you are called out of the Grail Wars, and there's no way you're going to get your wish, right? - I asked just in case.
- Yes, fine. We are only here to be your loyal servants, and we don't want anything else," she said, bowing devoutly. Okay, I get it.
- Then you will now help me cleanse this world of evil. In the meantime, just cordon off this building and the surrounding areas, and don't let anyone get close to us," I said, and then all the Aassassins surrounded the area at high speed. Convenient, I can't tell you that. I don't even know how I'm going to get all of them into my headquarters. Like a schizophrenic freak who's split into multiple bodies. Even that would be almost the norm in this world. I guess.
All right, I'll call in the stormtrooper next.
A character is being summoned into the world.
The character is entered into the universe.
There's another flash of light. I'm faced with the most ordinary Stormtrooper in the Star Wars universe. It's kind of weird.
- Stormtrooper 534? - I asked.
- That's right, commander!" he replied, standing up straight.
- How well do you know the technical part? - I asked him.
- What do you mean? - he asked a little incomprehensively.
- How well do you know the structure of the ship, blasters and various technologies? - I asked more precisely.
- At the academy we have studied the devices of the main ships of the Galactic Empire, and I also know well the devices of ordinary blasters, - he answered, apparently not quite understanding why I did it.
- You do realise where we are, don't you? - I asked him.
- Yes, commander. On a primitive planet on another world," he answered me.
- 'So, your job will be to try to recreate all the technology you know on this planet,' I said, sending him off in a corner, expectantly. He simply nodded and stepped back to where I had rendered him, waiting for further orders.
I, on the other hand, continued the summoning. Now it's time to summon... Mmmm, probably Neo. Yeah, that'll be good.
A character is being summoned into the world.
The character is inscribed in the universe.
A flash of light, and a man in a black coat and sunglasses appears before my eyes.
- Hmm, did I turn out to be alive? - He spoke thoughtfully as he surveyed his surroundings. So he's also dead. I wonder if the stormtrooper is also dead or not. I'll have to ask him later.- You're in a new world," I told him.
- Yeah, that's right, Boss," he said a little thoughtfully, as if remembering something. I wonder how exactly they get all these memories. Probably just pop into their heads.
- What happened to you before you came here? - I asked him.
- The matrix was destroyed and I died. I don't know the details," he replied seriously.
- Hmmm, what skills do you have? - I asked him to try to figure out what kind of Neo I had summoned.
- In the Matrix I was almost omnipotent, but in reality... Martial arts, shooting, and programming. That's basically all I know how to do," he said, thinking for a moment.
- I see... Wait until I've summoned the others. After that, I can explain your task to you," I muttered, sending him to stand next to the stormtrooper.
I summoned Mukuro Ikusaba next.
A summoning into the character's world is performed.
The character is entered into the universe.
There's a flash of light that I'm getting a little tired of and there's a girl in a school uniform and holding an assault rifle in front of my eyes.
- Hmmm, I'm fine," the girl said as she groped her stomach and chest as if checking for injuries. I could already tell by the way she looked and the way she held the weapon that she had a lot of experience, especially in killing people with it. Apparently, she really has fought in many places. Such a person will be useful to me, even though she's not the most pleasant person.
- What's the last thing you remember before you were drafted here? - I got straight to the point by asking the girl about her past world.
- It seems that something strange happened in the world. All the people literally went crazy and started killing each other. My mates wounded me before I killed them. And I should have bled out and died by now, especially considering the damage to my organs. I guess that's thanks to you, Head," she said, looking at me. Interestingly, almost all of them address me differently, but in one way or another, recognising my superiority. Apparently the kind of way they address me depends on their own character.
- Do you understand your situation? - I asked.
- I am in another world, in America. And now I am under your leadership, Head," she spoke with an emotionless face looking at me.
- Mostly yes, and I'll explain the rest when I call on our last comrade. Wait with the others for now," I said.
Immediately after that I started summoning Domino, who I decided to summon last today. The rest of them will be summoned tomorrow, before I go to my parents.
The summoning to the world of the character is performed.
The character is entered into the universe.
Immediately after that annoying flash of light, a girl with a rather strange appearance appears in front of me. White skin, as if a porcelain doll, the perfection of which spoils only a black spot, around the left eye. Though it's more likely to come to her some feature that looks even better. Not particularly long hair, and with a rather tight-fitting battle suit.
- Huh, I'm lucky again, even in this situation! - The girl said happily, smiling.
- Tell me what happened to you before you were drafted here,'' I told her.
- Whatever you say, boss, but could have been a bit more fun. Roughly speaking there was a zombie apocalypse in my world and everyone went crazy trying to eat each other. No one could escape it, not the X-Men, not the Avengers. The virus killed everyone but me. And the moment the zombies were about to kill me, and I thought my luck had failed me, I found myself in a completely different universe, right next to you, boss," she said cheerfully, gesturing.
- Interesting situation," I mumbled, remembering one of the many Marvel universes that was also called Marvel-Zombies. Apparently she's from there...
- So boss, what's the plan? - She asked me, smiling cheerfully.
I looked at the already receding sun and showed everyone to stand in front of me. We need to brief them on the situation and their place in it.
- You all know that this world is different from yours, but this is your home now. You are officially settled here and will live here until the day you die. Since you are all my subordinates, you will serve in a special government squad created to suppress superhuman threats to society," I said calmly as I began to explain the situation, but was interrupted when I saw Mukuro raise her hand, wanting to ask a question. I let the girl ask it.
- What do you mean superhuman? - She asked, and I remembered that her world was almost as ordinary as Neo's. There were no superhumans there in the general scheme of things.
- Superhumans, or metahumans in this universe, were all beings with abilities beyond human. Kind of like that," I said, releasing a small fireball into the wall. The sight made the girl's eyes widen, as well as Neo's. I can't be completely sure, but I think the stormtrooper is surprised as well.
- Ahem, I'll continue. Roughly speaking, we'll all have to fight all sorts of freaks, some of whom are not very dangerous and can only kill an ordinary person, but others are so powerful that they can destroy entire cities and sometimes planets," I explained briefly to the guys, smiling broadly. Only Domino supported my mood.
- Welcome to the Argent Squad. I've explained only our goals to you, but the nuances will be explained to you at our base, - I said, leaving the abandoned place.
But I realised one of my mistakes. How would ordinary people like Neo or Mukuro get to the base? Mmmm, maybe I should order a taxi.
