Reborn as Luffy The Pirate King's Return

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Fate's Whispers in Loguetown

The streets of Loguetown bustled with merchants shouting their prices, townsfolk moving about their daily lives, and pirates lurking in the corners with cautious glances. The sun hung high in the sky as the Straw Hat Pirates dispersed, each focused on their own goals.

Luffy inhaled deeply, letting the salty air fill his lungs. "Alright! First things first, I need to find my dad," he muttered to himself. Closing his eyes, he activated his Observation Haki, feeling the auras around him. He could sense Zoro heading toward the weapon district, Nami negotiating at a shop, and Sanji already drooling over food. But beyond the chaos of the town, he felt an overwhelming presence, distant but undeniable. A powerful force that sent shivers down his spine. He grinned. "Found you."

Meanwhile, Zoro strode into a weapon shop, his keen eyes scanning the swords displayed. He reached for one, but a voice interrupted him.

"I wouldn't pick that one if I were you."

Zoro turned to see a young woman with glasses, a Marine uniform, and a determined expression. The moment his eyes met hers, he froze. His breath hitched as his mind flashed back to his childhood. For a split second, he saw someone else standing before him—someone he had lost long ago. Kuina.

His fingers twitched as he clenched his fists. "Kuina...?"

The woman frowned. "What did you say?"

Zoro quickly shook off the momentary lapse and narrowed his eyes. "Nothing."

She adjusted her glasses. "It's a poorly balanced blade. A swordsman should know better."

Zoro smirked, regaining his composure. "And who are you to lecture me?"

"Tashigi," she answered confidently. "A Marine swordswoman."

Intrigued, Zoro ignored her and picked up another sword—a blade with an eerie aura. The shopkeeper gasped. "That's the Sandai Kitetsu! It's cursed. Anyone who wields it meets a tragic end!"

Zoro chuckled and tossed the sword into the air, holding out his arm. It spun downward, its sharp edge aiming to cleave his flesh—but at the last second, it veered away.

Tashigi's eyes widened. "You… have insane luck."

Zoro shrugged. "Luck or skill, I'll take it."

Just then, the shopkeeper, impressed by Zoro's spirit, gifted him another sword—Yubashiri, a fine-quality blade. With his new weapons secured, Zoro grinned. "Now, I'm ready for the Grand Line."

Across town, Nami strolled through the market, satisfied with her shopping. She casually picked up a newspaper, flipping through it. Her eyes widened in shock as a flyer slipped out. A wanted poster.

'WANTED: MONKEY D. LUFFY - 30,000,000 BERRIES.'

Her breath caught in her throat. "Thirty million…?"

She clenched the paper, her mind racing. This changed everything. The world had already recognized Luffy as a major threat. Loguetown wasn't just another stop—it was a trap waiting to be sprung.

Without another thought, she turned and rushed back to the Going Merry. "I have to tell the others before it's too late!"
