Chapter 528 His plan
Ead Richson did not know how he should react, but he could understand his change in detail. He was convinced that he was now a new man and had a new concept of what the man in front of him was.
'He is a genuine eminence who has been hidden from all of us...' He thought. Just thinking about it made his head ache, for he did not understand how he should continue to act now that he knew.
He felt that betraying such a person would be the dumbest idea anyone could have because he has a ridiculously amazing destiny.
The only thing he knew right now was that he was totally in the hands of someone powerful, and he couldn't do anything to stop it.
"..."
Seeing that he remained silent, Matthew spoke again.
"You don't have to change the way you talk or the way you do things. From today, your jobs will remain the same, and the only different thing you need to do is follow my orders. We will change the way we operate a little bit, but it's so you can achieve expansion." He pulled out a document and handed it to a confused Ead.
"I have inside information, but it's not enough. The Mafias want to move to hinder my business and take over my territory, so they will approach you to create a gate. Do you know what your mission is?"
Before answering, Ead read the document from head to toe a couple of times before nodding. "You want me to accept them and let them in, to set a trap for them from the inside, don't you?" he asked, looking up to see him.
Matthew nodded. "Working with smart people is always better. That's right; I need you to agree to what they want. Over the table, they will try to assassinate me and assassinate my people. I will take care of those, but I will make them think they can infiltrate so we can take care of the whole problem once and for all."
"I understand that, Lord. But... That's a plan a few years down the road, isn't it? They won't move so easily right now because they're afraid to strike when the nail is hot. Should I start preparing now? Or should I wait until the exact moment?"
"You're not going to start preparing. I'm going to start preparing the territory. These weapons..." Matthew handed him one of the weapons he now had in his possession.
"I'm going to leave them with you, but I'll research them because I want to develop a better one. Our main mission right now will be smuggling some minerals from the Empire over here; I have contacts over there, so everything will go smoothly. Once the territory is developed properly, we'll start opening up to the world, so you won't have weeks off from now on."
Ead nodded softly. "I understand, Lord. Then let me send some messages to all my branches worldwide, and we will start with what you have told me. The minerals you need..."
Matthew pulled out another piece of paper and handed it to him. "Everything I need is on there. Also, start buying certain quantities of this. We'll use it later."
After looking carefully, Ead nodded. "For that... I'll need a lot of money. I don't think I can do it with my current money. We're rich, but not that rich."
"Don't worry about money; I'll finance the things I need to finance. And no matter how much you spend, if we end up winning the territory from all those mobs targeting me in the end, it will all be paid back to you multiplied by several times. Also, this contract I gave you before will now take effect differently. Since you refused, I guess you didn't want that much percentage profit, did you?" Matthew smirked and then changed the percentage.
"Now that's what you'll get. Try harder; we'll be seeing more of each other from now on." He said and handed him the contract, which Ead signed without thinking.
At this point, he knew if he didn't do it, he was dead. 'The contract before was better for me, but I guess I was too arrogant.' He sighed.
After touching his shoulder to greet him, Matthew started to walk away.
"Send someone to direct me to where the big underworld organizations meet. I'm curious as to where they've been meeting." He said before walking out and away from the small, inconspicuous house on the side of the road.
Ead took several deep breaths before getting up. He immediately used some strange texting tactics and disappeared after entering his room.
Matthew and Ava walked through the dark streets, looking at the loneliness and the occasional people crossing by their sides.
"The underworld here is curious." Matthew said suddenly.
"Why?" Ava looked at him in confusion, and he smiled.
"They have a place to meet. That's strange, but it also shows how powerful they are."
Ava's eyes sparkled with doubt, and she wondered, "Why would that show how powerful they are?"
"Tsk, girl, sometimes you're brilliant, but other times you just don't get it. In the ancient era, the underworld was practically non-existent, but organizations like that religion and others operated under the table. Although they had personal headquarters, they never had a place where everyone could meet. That's because they weren't powerful enough; if they had such a place, my father or someone powerful at the time could have exterminated them in the blink of an eye."
"But now it's different. From what I hear, they have a big black market, surrounded by huge buildings, where they always gather and control it perfectly. But nobody knows where it is. Even the Allen Clan tends to turn a blind eye. That means they are powerful."
"Oh..." Ava's face lit up, and then she felt embarrassed and smiled. "I see. I get it now."
Just as she said that, a person came to their side. "Lord Matthew?" he said, discreetly covering his face.
Matthew didn't need to see him to know who it was. "Take us there."
"Yes, Lord, follow me, please."
The three of them walked around in circles until they came to an inconspicuous car, where they got in.
Subsequently, the man drove for more than eight hours at top speed, leaving the city and heading in the direction of another. One of the most prominent cities in this kingdom is near the city of Matthew, although it is outside his territory.
The Political City. It receives its name because politics is the center of the city. Here are the different ministries and important houses within the Politics of the Dark Kingdom (only of this Kingdom).
And, in a place as exclusive as this, you can also find...
The largest political meeting center in the world, of course. In this place, the different Kings of the world have a seat. This place, which is closely managed by the government and different prominent families (such as the Royal Family), is also the main headquarters of the Underworld Organizations.
Matthew was in shock when he discovered it.
It was more than he could process in such a short time.
'That the headquarters of the Underworld Organizations is the same Political Meeting Center of the Dark Kingdom... Sigh, my goodness, no wonder I couldn't find them. Not only are they well hidden, but they indirectly administer the Kingdom.' He thought.
