Chapter 527 A new way to use The Vampire (2)
He researched it during this time. That blood serves him to create new existences; honestly, he doesn't need a body to do it. Making the body will take some time and resources.
But what would happen if he used this on an existing person?
What would happen is that he would not need to suck your blood to turn you into a vampire (in case you are of other races). This would improve the bloodline, body, and so on, although certain minor requirements must be met to do so.
Thanks to that, the versatility he has gained when it comes to 'creating' vampires allows him to better understand who he is.
A Vampire Progenitor, the one who started the race or who inherits the power that started it. His status is incomparable no matter how much he thinks about it. Even though he already knew it, every time he used his powers to that end, he realized that his life had truly changed and that his status, though towering, could not be openly revealed.
Simply put, this will enhance and empower Ead Richson while making him his subordinate.
That has a lot of use, as he can also give it to his girls in the future to improve their bloodlines and make them more powerful. He just needs to test its effectiveness on a good group of people first to make sure it doesn't have any secondary problems.
And what better than to start with such an indispensable person as Ead Richson?
As he thought, Matthew focused on verifying that all was well. Since it was already a vampire that was being 'transformed', he felt no pain. Much less took; in fact, it had been completed within one hour.
'This is much better than I expected. I feel the connection with him the same way I feel with the girls.' Matthew also seized the moment to make him Totally Independent, as he needed this person to use his mental capacity to its fullest.
Ead Richson also noticed the change inside him. He was in shock that such a thing could exist. His memories remained intact, which caused him a strange feeling of confusion.
He could not understand who he was, his enemy, or what this was all about. His mind was so confused that even Matthew noticed.
'I think you'd better sleep.' He thought and gave him a little smack on the neck. That blow put Ead Richson soundly to sleep with incredible ease.
As he fell asleep, Matthew sighed and grabbed one of the weapons Ava had.
"What can you tell me about this? What's the mechanism for powering the magic?" He asked.
Ava nodded slightly. "It's an inspiration from the firearms used in civilian society. The magicks are compressed into a small item called a Magic Bullet. This small item is made with highly resistant material. Internally what these weapons have are these magic bullets, but these are destroyed when firing, so you will always see that extremely compressed magic shoot out. Internally, it's complex, but it's pretty much like this..."
Ava grabbed a pencil and began writing a blueprint of what the magic bullet did before it was fired, patiently explaining what it was all about.
She spoke for several minutes, so Matthew was satisfied after she finished.
'It's similar to a pistol but made with inscriptions and magics, which boosts the rate of fire even more. It's a menacing weapon, and the design favors the firing power.' He thought, but his mind immediately tried to improve it.
In a moment, he came up with dozens of designs that could improve it, but most of them did not improve at all; on the contrary, they downgraded, as the designs did not favor power but effectiveness and ease of use.
Those kinds of designs didn't work for him because a pistol wasn't difficult to use, and if it had the added bonus of enhanced firepower, it would have been much better.
'I think the designs that work best for me for the legion of Magical Vampires I'm trying to create would be a changeable design. That can be a sword and, at the same time, a pistol. My sword design was made specifically so that not only can I melee with my fists, but also melee with my sword; it allows me to fight in a different way than I did on earth, and it develops a personality for me. I think I can do something similar with this weapon.'
He set a reminder in his mind to try it out. He would have to do tests, building different designs so he could experience them firsthand, so he planned to talk to Paul Cox about it. He was determined to mix this weapon with the object they were already creating to make a much more powerful armada.
"Do you have the blueprints for this weapon with you?"
"No, they are part of the family treasure. Although they were originally with me, I left them in the Empire with a sister. Why? Do you want them?" She looked at him curiously.
Matthew looked back at her. "You have sisters?" he asked, in shock.
She nodded. "Foster sister. She's the one who runs the family now. Do you want to meet her? She's hard-headed, but she tries hard."
"Why didn't you tell me before?" The expression on Matthew's face was one of not being able to believe what she was telling him.
"I didn't think it was necessary. My sister is not strong; she's not very good at thinking, either. Besides, if I'm not there, she'll be running the family."
Matthew understood. They couldn't lose the family heritage of hundreds of years; even if she's a vampire now, she's still a Thompson, the real leader of the Thompson family.
But there was something he didn't understand.
"Weren't the Thompsons treated as traitors? I thought the Imperial Princess had marked them because of that night."
"She marked me and many of my subordinates who were with me in the capital, but there is more to the Thompson family than that. We are not that numerous, but we have several branches. The remaining branches are united into a new and renewed Thompson Family, choosing my sister as leader, thus totally disassociating themselves from me."
"They chose as leader someone who is neither strong nor good with her head?"
"Yes, I ordered them. Although we have disassociated, I am still Charanne's granddaughter and the most talented assassin today. Our family doesn't care about vampires or humans; we care about the missions we are tasked with; that's why the family was spared and now lives well, albeit under prejudice, but nothing new."
Matthew nodded. "Do you want me to bring them in? In the near future, I'll be able to turn them all into vampires; there could be an amazingly powerful family coming out of your family when I do."
Ava nodded softly. "Not bad. I can ask my sister to send us the blueprints. I'm still in contact with her, though it will be a bit of a hassle to bring it in now. It's possible the humans will be more alert now that you've revealed yourself to the world."
"I'll manage. Or shall I say better, Ead Richson will manage, won't you?" Matthew said, giving Ead a little kick in the side, who made a pained sound and got up.
"Since you guys are in charge of smuggling, I want you to bring several things from the Empire; it will be your first mission." Matthew sat back down, staring at a confused Ead.
