"Return, Pelipper. You've done your best, and you were brilliant."
Sato retrieved his shimmering Pelipper with its PokeBall and offered it words of praise before turning his gaze to the smug woman in front of him, who was now radiating confidence.
Her quick thinking in such a critical moment impressed Sato. He silently acknowledged, "Well played," while marveling at Jolteon's extraordinary mastery over Electric-type energy.
Executing Magnet Rise to stabilize itself within a tornado was no small feat. It required exceptional control over Electric-type energy, which was not something every Electric-type Pokémon could achieve, due to the violent nature of the energy.
Even so, his shiny Pelipper had performed exceptionally well.
Although it hadn't managed to defeat Jolteon as planned, its Hurricane had left Jolteon severely weakened and barely able to continue the fight.
"The rest of this battle is yours, Marshtomp!"
Refocusing, Sato pulled Marshtomp's PokeBall from his belt and released it.
In the blink of an eye, Marshtomp's sturdy, sky-blue form appeared on the finely manicured grass in front of Jolteon.
"Take them down, Marshtomp!"
"Go, Marshtomp! Hit em hard—make every punch count!"
"Let's goooo, baby! Here it comes! Smash them into the wall with your fists, Marshtomp!!"
Marshtomp's fans in the audience erupted. Some lunatics had even donned T-shirts emblazoned with Marshtomp's image, waving flags and cheering loudly.
"Gruhhh!"
Buoyed by the crowd's fervor, Marshtomp's fighting spirit soared. Marshtomp's muscles bulged, and it let out a powerful roar.
"Marshtomp!"
"Marshtomp!"
"Marshtomp!"
"Marshtomp!"
The audience chanted in unison, their voices creating a feverish energy throughout the stadium. There wasn't a single person in the audience that didn't love Marshtomp's fights.
"This feeling… This adrenaline from the cheers… it's amazing," Sato thought, invigorated by the atmosphere.
As Marshtomp's Trainer, Sato's blood was naturally boiling with excitement as well.
He loved intense, physical battles, and Marshtomp's warrior-like nature matched his own preferences perfectly. It was one of the reasons he often relied on Marshtomp in battles.
In stark contrast, Alice and her Jolteon appeared tense and uneasy, struggling under the weight of the crowd's enthusiasm. The invisible pressure made it hard for them, making them feel almost suffocated.
"These people are insane. This is unbearable. What is this?" Alice thought, her face pale.
She despised the crowd's sudden outburst of passion and felt a growing disgust toward them. She wished she could leave this overwhelming environment immediately.
"Charge in, Jolteon! Use Double Kick!"
Unable to endure the mounting pressure, Alice shouted for Jolteon to attack, hoping a swift victory would silence the spectators.
Jolteon, having been with Alice since its days as an Eevee, understood her frustration. It dashed toward Marshtomp at high speed, sharing its Trainer's disdain for the opposing Pokémon.
"Interesting. Let's give them a good fight! Marshtomp, meet them head-on with Ice Punch!"
Seeing Alice opt for a direct assault, Sato's face lit up with excitement. He commanded Marshtomp to counter with equal ferocity.
Direct clashes were Marshtomp's specialty and favorite form of combat. Marshtomp's muscles tensed, and Ice-type energy enveloped its fists as it charged forward to meet Jolteon head on.
Jolteon's speed was impressive, closing the distance to Marshtomp in a flash. A quick sidestep brought it to Marshtomp's left side, and its rear leg lashed out in a sweeping kick.
However, this time was different. Marshtomp didn't budge from the force of Jolteon's Double Kick. Instead, it swiftly caught Jolteon's leg with its left hand, freezing it solid.
With a firm grip, Marshtomp yanked Jolteon into the air. The Electric-type naturally retaliated with a powerful electric discharge, but it had little effect.
Electricity? Marshtomp barely felt it. To the Water/Ground-type, the sensation was no more than a pleasant tingle.
But now wasn't the time to relax. Marshtomp needed to respond to the crowd's energy. It decided to showcase its strength in the most spectacular way possible.
Flexing its powerful muscles, Marshtomp channeled all its energy into a single, devastating punch aimed squarely at Jolteon's midsection.
Boom!
The impact was deafening, shaking the battlefield as Jolteon was sent flying like a ragdoll. It crashed into the protective wall over 10 meters away and slumped motionless into the crater it created.
Just one punch.
Just one powerful punch and Jolteon was down.
Marshtomp's precision ensured that the blow rendered Jolteon unconscious instantly, sparing it from further pain upon impact with the wall.
"Jolteon is unable to battle! Marshtomp wins!"
The referee, having counted the seconds while observing Jolteon's condition, declared the outcome.
"Hell yeah!"
"Fuck! There it is again! Holy Shit!"
"Daddy Chill!"
"Marshtomp!"
"Marshtomp!"
The crowd erupted into thunderous cheers, their excitement reaching a fever pitch. The sheer power Marshtomp displayed had ignited their spirits.
"How… How is his Marshtomp this strong?"
Alice, still pale, stared in disbelief at her Jolteon embedded in the wall. Her hands trembled as she struggled to process the overwhelming defeat.
