Pokemon: Rising From The Dark

Chapter 94: Sun Dog

However, unlike star hunters, star hunters only need to complete tasks and sell Pokemon, and there is no obligation, but these chests are distinguished from the honorary elders of the sun. While enjoying the treatment, they must fulfill the corresponding obligations. The Hunters' Guild has the right to call them to fight for the guild, so these people are often members of the guild's core, and are jokingly called by all star hunters in the back: the sun dog.

Means the sun medal running dog of the hunter's guild.

But their strength is very powerful. To become the owner of the Sun Medal, the minimum is the strength of the elite level.

After Rose brought Aoki into the hall, she aroused a little attention from others, after which everyone continued their own business.

The wearer of the cold Medal of Sun who had been sitting on the sofa, seeing Rose coming in, his eyes brightened, showing a smile that looked very sunny, and walked up quickly, "Rose, why are you here?"

Rose saw him and frowned. There was nothing like the charming look in the store before. There was only a kind of indifference that was thousands of miles away. "What am I to do with you here? Yang Dou, why are you everywhere?"

Rose spoke with thorns, but the man named Yang Dou with the Medal of the Sun did not mind at all. He simply smiled and said, "Oh, this is not to know that you have been transferred here to be the store manager, so I applied for a transfer from the guild."

It wasn't just a day or two that she had been entangled by this person. Rose was helpless. The identity of Yang Dou was not simple, but he kept pursuing her. But still, he came over.

She did not answer him again and continued walking, really afraid of being stuck.

Ignoring his earnest smile, she walked directly to the front desk. Aoki followed silently without speaking.

Yang Dou finally noticed Aoki's presence. His smile gradually disappeared, and he frowned. "Who is this person?"

Rose ignored him, took out her own mirror, and continued to apply some lightened lipstick.

Aoki chose to ignore him and said to the staff at the window, "Register me as a hunter."

When Yang Dou saw that Aoki was just a hunter about to register, he even dared to ignore him. A fire of irritation ignited within him.

For someone like Rose, who had elite-level strength and whom he had been pursuing, ignoring him was something he was used to.

But Aoki, a newcomer just registering as a hunter, dared to ignore his existence. That made his pent-up frustration burst forth.

"Hey, who are you?" His tone was now cold.

Aoki still ignored him. At this moment, silence was the best choice.

He could see that this was a problem brought about by Rose, making him feel deeply helpless.

However, Aoki was not too worried. This was the mission hall of the Hunters' Guild—no one could start a fight here.

As long as he left, Slowpoke's Teleport would make Yang Dou unable to find him at all, and most importantly, Aoki still wore a disguise.

"Yang Dou, that's enough. Don't disrupt others or bring a bad influence to the guild." Rose's voice cut in. She noticed that people around them had gradually shifted their gaze. If this continued, it might stir up gossip and damage the guild's reputation.

Yang Dou also noticed the attention on them. He had almost made Aoki his punching bag.

"What are you looking at? Mind your own business!" Yang Dou snapped at the onlookers.

The surrounding people quickly turned back to their own tasks under his glare.

However, Yang Dou did not continue to act rashly. He stared at Aoki and said in a voice that only the three of them could hear, "Boy, I'll remember you."

After that, he returned to the sofa where he had been sitting, closed his eyes, and began to meditate.

"..."

"Well, excuse me, are you registering as a hunter?" After a brief silence, the staff member at the window asked cautiously.

He knew the identities of Rose and Yang Dou, so when Yang Dou had been angry, he hadn't dared to speak. Only after Yang Dou had calmed down did he finally whisper.

Aoki nodded. He hadn't expected to encounter such trouble just by registering as a hunter.

Seeing Aoki's confirmation, the staff member was slightly relieved. He didn't dare to provoke someone who had directly ignored Yang Dou. His previously lax attitude became serious.

In reality, registering as a hunter with the Hunters' Guild didn't have much significance when the star level was low. However, as the ranking increased, the benefits became substantial.

The first advantage was that higher-ranked missions could only be accepted at the corresponding star level, and those missions usually had high rewards.

Additionally, star-ranked hunters received discounts when purchasing Pokemon, which was another practical benefit.

"So, what's your registration code?" The staff member continued the process.

Hunters generally didn't use their real names. Being a Pokemon hunter was not an honest profession, and the League strongly opposed it. Many hunters even had legitimate identities within the League, so using a codename made tasks much easier.

After a brief pause, Aoki said, "JOKER."

This was the hunter codename Aoki had used in his previous life. After being reborn, he didn't intend to change it.

The staff didn't react much to Aoki's choice. With so many new hunters registering daily, he had seen all sorts of names. To him, this was nothing unusual.

He typed the name into the system, clicked a few buttons, and pressed enter. A card slid out of the machine.

"This is your hunter card. It will record the missions you complete and their success rate, as well as store your guild points. You'll need this card each time you accept a mission." He handed a green card to Aoki.

Taking the slightly warm card, Aoki stood up. He was now an officially registered Pokemon hunter with the Hunters' Guild, starting at zero stars.

"Alright, registration is complete. I should go now." As Aoki stood, Rose, who had been painting her nails, spoke without looking up, then turned to leave.

"Be careful with Yang Dou. He's not someone to take lightly." Before leaving, she whispered a warning to Aoki.

Aoki and Rose were nothing more than acquaintances. Although this situation had started because of her, reminding him was the most she was willing to do.

Aoki nodded silently, without saying a word.
