"Eevee, use Shadow Ball!"

"Eevee!"

Tyson's command rang out, accompanied by Eevee's spirited cry.

A Shadow Ball shot forward, combining with Kadabra's Psychic attack, and the last Goldeen was defeated.

Now, the only wild Pokémon left standing was Golduck.

Perched on the water's surface with a steely resolve, Golduck was visibly fatigued. Deep cuts marred its sleek body, and each labored breath seemed to fuel its dwindling strength.

Charizard, however, soared confidently above, its wings outstretched and body unscathed. The fiery dragon's burning determination eclipsed any fatigue, its sole focus on overpowering the resilient Golduck.

"Charizard, finish this with Dragon Rush!"

"Rooaar!"

Charizard let out a deafening roar and surged forward. The energy from its Flame Charge attack propelled it to blistering speeds, dragon energy spiraling around it. The fiery aura morphed into a massive dragon figure as Charizard charged headlong toward Golduck.

Summoning its final reserves of strength, Golduck retaliated with a Water Cannon. A powerful torrent shot skyward, a last-ditch effort to halt the inevitable. But the water stream faltered, unable to withstand Charizard's overwhelming momentum.

The dragon-shaped energy struck with devastating force, sending water splashing everywhere as Golduck fell. The battle ended with Charizard triumphantly carrying the defeated Golduck to shore.

"Great work, everyone! Let's take a rest before we head back to Cerulean City," Tyson said, his voice filled with pride. He quickly administered potions and handed out energy cubes to help his team recover.

After securing some wild Pokémon into Poké Balls for transfer, Tyson began the trek out of Cerulean Cave. This return journey, swifter than their initial venture, still took over a day to navigate the dark, labyrinthine tunnels.

Emerging into the sunlight, Tyson stretched with relief. "Ah, nothing beats sunlight after being cooped up in Cerulean Cave."

Eevee, Mankey, and Ditto mimicked his stretch, visibly glad to be out in the open.

"Alright, back to Cerulean City. Eevee, after that, it's time for your evolution," Tyson announced.

Eevee's ears perked up. With an eager leap, it bounded into Tyson's arms, its cries filled with excitement.

"Eevee! Eevee!"

"What will I evolve into? Will it look nice?" Eevee's sparkling eyes seemed to ask.

Tyson chuckled and ruffled Eevee's soft fur. "Don't worry. The evolution I've planned for you is stunning—far more beautiful than you can imagine."

Back in Cerulean City, Tyson replenished supplies and retrieved a skill CD from the Pokémon Center, sent by Shadow. He decided, however, to avoid evolving Eevee in such a public setting.

The evolution Tyson had chosen was far from ordinary. If discovered, it would likely attract unwanted attention. Even with Charizard's elite-level strength, Tyson was cautious about standing out too much in the unpredictable Pokémon world.

"Alright, this spot will do."

Tyson found a quiet, open grassland and began issuing orders.

"Kadabra, use your psychic powers to scan the area. Ensure no one comes near."

"Charizard, patrol from above. If any Pokémon approach, engage them immediately."

"Mankey, Ditto—you both stay close and guard Eevee's evolution."

With everyone in position, Eevee still seemed a bit nervous.

"It's okay, Eevee. You'll evolve successfully. Charizard and the others are just here to keep you safe—just like you've done for them before," Tyson reassured, gently stroking Eevee's fur. The comforting touch eased Eevee's nerves.

"Now, let's begin. First, learn this skill," Tyson said, pulling out the skill CD.

The move in question was Dazzling Gleam, a Fairy-type attack currently classified as a Psychic move in the region. While Eevee couldn't yet wield the move to its full potential, learning it was a critical step toward evolution.

Under the CD's guidance, Eevee quickly grasped the technique. At that moment, Tyson activated his system panel, using stored mission points to enhance Eevee's strength.

In an instant, a brilliant light engulfed Eevee's body.

"It's happening!" Tyson stepped back to give Eevee space as its form began to shift within the radiant glow.

When the light subsided, a beautiful Sylveon stood where Eevee had been.

Sylveon's creamy white fur was complemented by pink accents on its head, ears, tail, and legs. Its large, expressive blue eyes sparkled with curiosity, and two elegant ribbons adorned its head and neck, their ends shifting through shades of pink, light blue, and dark blue. These ribbons were not just decorative—they were sensitive feelers capable of sensing emotions and calming others.

"Congratulations on evolving into Sylveon!" Tyson said, his voice brimming with warmth as he gently stroked Sylveon's head.

If Eevee had been adorable before, Sylveon was now a picture of ethereal beauty.

Sylveon gazed at its reflection in awe, eyes shimmering with excitement. Unable to contain itself, Sylveon leapt into Tyson's arms. However, the newly evolved Pokémon was larger and heavier, and Tyson found himself unceremoniously knocked to the ground.

Sylveon blinked in surprise, realizing this was its first drawback as a Fairy Pokémon.
