One Piece: I will become stronger by checking in

Chapter 173: Chapter 173 RAHHHH WARRRRRR

Buggy now understood why Kai had said he'd know when the commotion started. With a move like that, it was impossible not to notice.

As he stared at the hole leading straight to the sky, Buggy's mind started racing. Maybe he could use this to his advantage...

Meanwhile, back in Freezing Hell, Kai looked up at the blue sky visible through the massive hole he'd just created. A satisfied smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

He was pleased with the sheer destructive power of his new technique.

This move, which he called "Haki Burst," was the result of countless battles and experiments. Kai had always had a deep understanding of Haki, and after using it in so many fights, he'd finally unlocked a new application: Conqueror's Infusion.

By combining his Conqueror's Haki with his physical attacks, he could unleash devastating blows that were not only more powerful but also had a wider range. But the real game-changer was the locking function he'd developed.

Once Kai locked onto a target with his Haki Burst, the enemy had no choice but to face the attack head-on. The only way to escape the lock was if the opponent's Conqueror's Haki was significantly stronger than his. Otherwise, they were trapped.

After admiring his handiwork for a moment, Kai turned and sprinted toward Level 6: Eternal Hell. The commotion he'd caused would undoubtedly draw Magellan and possibly even Marine reinforcements. He needed to act fast.

As expected, Magellan arrived at the scene of destruction shortly after. His jaw dropped as he stared at the massive hole that nearly ran through the entire prison.

But his shock quickly turned to fury. "I don't care who you are!" Magellan growled, his voice dripping with venom. "If you think you can cause trouble in Impel Down, you'd better be ready to stay here forever!"

With that, Magellan turned and ran back toward the upper levels. As confident as he was in his own abilities, he knew he couldn't handle this intruder alone. He needed backup.

Plus, he had to seal the holes in the prison with his Venom-Venom Fruit powers. If he didn't, the prisoners—especially those with flight abilities—would escape in droves.

As he ran, Magellan pulled out a Den Den Mushi and dialed Marine Headquarters.

Buru Buru!

"Moshi Moshi, Marine Headquarters. What's the situation?"

"This is Magellan, Warden of Impel Down. We have an intruder. Their strength is... significant. Send reinforcements immediately. At least one Admiral. No, make it two!"

Magellan quickly corrected himself. The sheer power of that attack wave had shaken him. One Admiral might not be enough.

——

Meanwhile, Kai had reached Eternal Hell, the deepest level of Impel Down. This was where the most dangerous criminals were held—pirates so infamous that their very existence had been erased from history.

As soon as Kai stepped onto the floor, he felt the weight of countless eyes on him. The prisoners here were no ordinary thugs; they were legends in their own right.

"Kid, how'd you get past Magellan?" a voice called out from the shadows.

These pirates could tell Kai wasn't here through official channels. If he were, Magellan would've been with him. But they couldn't believe a kid like Kai had defeated the warden.

Kai ignored them and walked confidently toward a specific cell, calling out, "Luffy! I'm here to get you out!"

"Kai!" Luffy's voice rang out from the darkness, filled with excitement. "We're over here!"

Zoro and Sanji, locked in the same cell, also perked up at the sound of Kai's voice.

But not everyone was pleased. A gruff voice growled from the shadows, "Kid, shut your mouth. You're making too much noise."

A wave of Conqueror's Haki surged toward Kai, but he didn't even flinch. Instead, he released his own Conqueror's Haki, far more powerful, and it swept through the entire level.

The prisoners, who had been lounging in their cells, suddenly sat up straight. The sheer intensity of Kai's Haki was enough to make even the most hardened criminals take notice.

Kai continued walking, unfazed, until he reached Luffy's cell. He glanced inside and frowned. "Where's Robin? Isn't she supposed to be here too?"

"Robin... they took her," Luffy said, his expression darkening. "And Ace too. They said they're going to execute them at Marineford."

Kai's eyes narrowed. He was too late. Ace had already been taken, and now Robin was gone too.

This didn't make sense. The World Government usually handled sensitive matters like Robin's knowledge of the Void Century in secret. Public executions were rare, especially for someone like her.

Something was off.

But Kai didn't have time to dwell on it. He'd figure it out later. Right now, he needed to focus on the task at hand.

"Alright, let's get you out first," Kai said, shattering the Seastone cuffs and cell bars with ease. "Then we'll head to Marineford and rescue Robin."

Zoro stretched his arms and asked, "So we're fighting our way out, right?"

"Unless you want to stay here forever," Sanji quipped.

Zoro ignored him and turned to Kai. "I need to find my swords. They took them when we were brought in."

"Go," Kai said. "Nami and the others are on the upper levels. Meet up with them first. I'll handle some things here and catch up with you later."

The three nodded and took off, leaving Kai alone in Eternal Hell.

Kai stood there for a moment, his gaze sweeping over the cells around him. The prisoners watched him intently, some with curiosity, others with malice.

He had a plan, and it involved more than just breaking out. If the World Government wanted a fight, Kai would give them one they'd never forget.
