One Piece: Gold And Fire

"Oyeee, what taking you so long!" Shouted the Golden Hook as he noticed the man hadn't come back.

"Aye, did he stop to take a dump…Hahaha…" One of the men said, unlike the captain, others didn't care much, they were completely drunken by now.

"Go and find that bastard, see what's he up to," Golden Hook yelled, though he particularly didn't care much about that person but his instincts told him that something wasn't right.

Golden Hook was now in his late forties, a big man with countless years of experience, though all his life he didn't accounted much but in the grand scheme of things, but he knew his seas well.

Though the four blues are nothing in comparison to the Grandline, they are still dangerous in their own right, golden hook is a man who has experienced and survived the sea all his life. So he knew better to listen to his gut feeling, which had saved him countless times.

He was about to yell again, making the worthless wastes in front of him move, however, just as he was about to shout, he saw a black shadow appear behind two of his men who still remained seated, drinking with him.

At first, it felt like this was the booze making him see things, but when that black shadow swung a long wooden bat at one of his men, his droopy eyes widened.

However, he was late to react, not only did the wooden bat knock out the person in front of him but the bastard who attacked went and took down the other men also in a matter of seconds.

"This…" If there was any dizziness lingering inside Golden Hook then the slash of blood at his face removed it. His entire body was shaking with Rage by the time his brain registered what just happened in front of him and anger swelled inside him.

"Bastard !" He roared, ready to tear the man for his crimes.

After taking care of one man, Assassin Creed Style, Ragna took the broom in his hand and slowly started to sneak closer towards the drunken trio, as much as the shadows allowed and he remained undetected. It certainly helped that it was night right now.

After one point, inching closer without getting spotted wasn't possible and he decided to take action, with all his speed he rushed towards the man close to him and swung his broom with all his might.

*Snap…

A snapping sound rang as the broom ended up breaking, even though it was clearly made out of strong wood courtesy of the naturally strong growing trees in this world, the broom ended up breaking like it was a mere twig.

Sending the unexpecting man flying, he was unconscious by just one attack as the attack hit him right on the head.

Ragna's raw strength was enough to startled others but he didn't stop, there was no stopping now, he kicked the other man who was sitting beside the first man in his back in such a way that he fell down to deck on his back.

Without giving him any time, Ragna put one of his feet on the man's abdomen and inserted the sharp broken side of the broom in the man's throat.

All of this happened with lightning-fast movements, to the point that there was no time for the last standing man to do anything.

"Bastard."

But soon the man moved, and shouted with enough power to almost make Ragna deaf, however, Ragna was ready. Now it was only him against the captain.

He was about to mock the old man to make him make a mistake but found his hand with a golden hook swinging right towards him.

Only the shine of the gold at night gave Ragna the needed hint that he should be dodging.

His body moved on instincts, barely missing the sharp hook from piercing his chest.

Only then did he get a good look at the man in front of him, the captain of the Golden Hook Pirate was no ordinary man, certainly not as weak as his crew mates.

He was tall, even after Ragna knew that people in this world were taller but there was something about seeing a 7 to 8-foot man in front of him that just felt unreal.

Earth had 7 feet people, but those were rare and Ragna never met one in his life. This was the first time he was meeting a man who was almost a foot or more taller.

"He didn't look this tall when he was sitting…" He muttered in a little complaining tone seeing how the fight became slightly unfair.

But that was still not enough to make him back off, he has yet to see the limit of his own body. In fact, rather than backing off, he was smiling, a small smirk was tugging on his lips, happy that he got a good test dummy for himself.

"I'll cut you in pieces and let fishes eat your body…" Golden Hook shouted and rushed at Ragna.

'Was that a threat ? Or were he was trying to smack talk here?

Both didn't work honestly, the line was a little too cheesy for that but…whatever'. Ranga thought to himself, he was easily able to dodge the upcoming golden hook towards him, he might be not as tall as the man with his 7 foot plus height with excellent range, however, Ragna was much more agile.

Another swing was headed towards him and Ragna easily dodged that with his speed, and finally seeing a little gap in the man's defences, he closed in on the man, ready to deliver a punch on his solar plexus.

*Thump…

His fist landed with enough power to knock the man two steps back, as the captain staggered and almost fell back to his feet. His face distorted and he held his chest like he was in pain.

His eyes were already blood red, and Ragna noticed that he was having trouble breathing.

'I didn't punch that hard…Asthma Maybe?' Pondered Ragna but didn't think too much about it, the man was having trouble, seeing this he knocked back his fist, ready to end the fight in one shot but that was when he saw the man take out a pistol from inside the jacket.

Then it clicked to Ragna, the man was pretending, sure the attack hurt but not that much.

"Ha… die bastard…" He shouted and after pointing the pistol at Ragna, without hesitation, he shot him.

These were Flintlocks and thus at a time only one shot could be shot, at least when it came to small pistols like the Golden Hook was using, thus Golden Hook made sure that one shot counted.

Ragna's eyes widen, making him aware that if he gets shot in any of his vitals then he is done for, however dodging the bullet from this point-blank range was almost impossible. All this calculation happened in his mind in a split of a second before he shifted his body just enough in the limited amount of time he had to avoid the bullet from piercing any of his vitals.

It was a good thing that it was night, Golden Hook's intoxicated state, bad vision and in general hurried movements let Ragna get out of the way, though the bullet still pierced his shoulder, but this was still much better than getting his vitals pierced.

"Ah…" A sharp pain rang inside him, only in his shoulder, but the pain was there when he was shot. Even in his adrenaline state, he could feel a sharp sting in his shoulder.

In this era, the flintlocks used to use different types of bullets than what modern bullets look like, they are more like small iron balls than bullets, don't have those well-piercing capabilities but do more on surface damage.

Gritting his teeth, Ranga hunched down slightly to maintain his balance. He didn't bother about stopping the blood which was flowing from his left shoulder. The only thing right now running in his brain was to inflict greater pain on the man in front of him.

So, he did just that, he knocked his fist back his fist, this time targeting the man's face and while not holding back, he punched Golden Hook.

Golden Hook who thought that he got the bastard who killed his man with that one shot was surprised to see the man, no the brat still standing and staring at him with killing intent in his eyes.

He was down to the ground with very little mobility to dodge the upcoming attack from the boy, the earlier punch genuinely had pushed him back, so he knew that though the boy might look small but he was strong.

He wasn't expecting a counter from the boy after he shot him. Seeing the brat Knocking his fist back, this time with much more vigour, he knew that he couldn't afford to take this attack.

Panicked, he once again swung his hand with the golden hook in it towards the brat, trying to stop him.

However, just as he did that, he felt his hands getting grasped by a strong grip, he couldn't move his hand anymore. He saw the brat catch his hand midway by the Golden Hook, not letting go.

"Arghhh…let go of me you son of a bitch…" he shouted and tried to snatch his hand back but it did even budge.

However Ragna didn't care, he used his immense strength to hold the captain down by the Golden Hook in his right hand and then swung his fist right at the man's face.

"Don't you dare talk about my mother like that…" Ragna shouted back and knocked his fist once again, this time his fist finally finding his mark.

*Bang…

The fist landed right at the pirate's face, partially disinforming it before the impact sent his face right at the deck with the fist.

The Man's head hit the deck with so much power that it felt like the entire ship quivered under the impact.

"Huff Huff…" Ragna huffed still clutching to the man's before finally making sure that he was down.

He saw the old man didn't move and let out a relieved sigh.

'I might be strong but I still stand at Zero Real Fighting Skills and Experience…' He can't help but think, that the power difference was evident here, he was stronger than the old pirate captain even after being smaller in size and this much weight difference. However, it was his lack of fighting experience and skills which got him bad.

Just as he thought that he had enough, he heard a sound, putting him on guard again.

But there was no one around him.

And that was when in front of his eyes, a strange Hologram with a message popped up.
