Chapter 11: Chapter 11

Chapter 11*Windstep and Ironwall Technique

Anshi began by standing in a relaxed position, his feet shoulder-width apart and his hands hanging loosely by his sides. He took a deep breath, focusing his mind and calming his spirit.

Next, Anshi visualized a gust of wind blowing through his body, imagining that his legs and feet were light and airy, like leaves rustling in the breeze. He felt his weight shift onto the balls of his feet, and his knees slightly bent.

With a swift and agile movement, Anshi took a step forward with his right foot, keeping his left foot planted firmly on the ground. As he stepped, he transferred his weight onto his right foot, using the momentum to propel himself forward.

Anshi repeated this process, stepping forward with his left foot and then bringing his right foot to meet it. He continued to move his feet in a swift and agile rhythm, his body flowing like the wind.

As he practiced, Anshi focused on maintaining a smooth and continuous flow of movement, avoiding any jerky or awkward steps. He also paid attention to his breathing, making sure to inhale and exhale in harmony with his movements.

After several minutes of practice, Anshi felt his body begin to adapt to the Windstep technique. His movements became more fluid and natural, and he felt a sense of freedom and agility that he had never experienced before. After a long while of train, he decided to switch to the Ironwall technique.

Anshi began by standing in a firm and stable position, his feet shoulder-width apart and his hands clenched into fists. He took a deep breath, focusing his mind and calming his spirit.

Next, Anshi visualized a solid and impenetrable wall of iron surrounding his body, protecting him from any external attacks or threats. He felt his weight sink into the ground, and his muscles tense with anticipation.

As he practiced, Anshi focused on maintaining a firm and unyielding stance, avoiding any unnecessary movements or shifts in his weight. He also paid attention to his breathing, making sure to inhale and exhale slowly and deeply.

To test his defenses, Anshi asked Master Ling Xiao to attack him with a series of swift and powerful strikes. Anshi stood firm, using the Ironwall technique to absorb and deflect each blow.

As the practice session progressed, Anshi felt his body begin to adapt to the Ironwall technique. His stance became more solid and unshakeable, and he felt a sense of confidence and security that he had never experienced before.

Anshi continued to practice the Windstep and Ironwall techniques, determined to master them. He spent every waking moment practicing, his body and mind fully focused on the task at hand.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Anshi's hard work and dedication began to pay off, as he slowly but surely mastered the two techniques.

With the Windstep technique, Anshi could now move with incredible speed and agility, dodging attacks with ease and striking from unexpected angles. His movements were fluid and natural, like a gentle breeze on a summer's day.

With the Ironwall technique, Anshi could now defend himself against even the strongest attacks, his body a solid and impenetrable wall of iron. His stance was firm and unshakeable, like a mountain that could not be moved.

Master Ling Xiao watched Anshi's progress with a proud smile, knowing that his young disciple was on the verge of a major breakthrough.

"Well done, Anshi," Master Ling Xiao said, as Anshi finished a particularly grueling practice session. "now you should focus more on the annual tournament.

Master Ling Xiao's expression turned serious, his eyes gleaming with a hint of intensity. "Anshi, now that you have mastered the Windstep and Ironwall techniques, it's time to remind you of the upcoming annual clan competition."

Anshi's eyes widened, his mind racing with memories of the previous year's competition. He had watched from the sidelines, awestruck by the skills and prowess of the older cultivators.

"This year's competition will be even more challenging than the last," Master Ling Xiao continued. "The other clans will be sending their strongest representatives, and we must not be left behind."

Anshi nodded, determination burning within him. "I won't disappoint you, Master. I'll do my best to represent our clan."

Master Ling Xiao smiled, his eyes shining with pride. "I have no doubt that you will, Anshi. However, I must remind you that the competition will not only be about winning or losing, but also about showcasing your skills and sportsmanship."

Anshi nodded, taking Master Ling Xiao's words to heart.

"Now, here's some advice," Master Ling Xiao said, his voice taking on a more serious tone. "During the competition, focus on your technique and execution, rather than trying to overpower your opponents. Remember to stay calm and composed, even in the face of adversity."

Anshi nodded, committing Master Ling Xiao's words to memory.

Anshi turned to Master Ling Xiao, his eyes filled with curiosity. "Master, I've been thinking... I'd like to know more about the annual clan competition. What can you tell me about it?"

Master Ling Xiao nodded, a hint of a smile on his face. "Ah, the annual clan competition. It's a sparing competition among the younger generation of our clan, a chance for them to showcase their skills and abilities."

"How does it work?" Anshi asked, his interest piqued.

"The competition is held in a large arena, where the participants will engage in one-on-one sparing matches," Master Ling Xiao explained. "The participants will be chosen by drawing lots, and the winners of each match will advance to the next round."

Anshi's eyes widened with excitement. "That sounds like a lot of fun! Who can participate?"

Master Ling Xiao's expression turned serious. "The competition is open to all members of our clan who are under the age of 16 and have reached at least the 4th level of cultivation."

Anshi nodded, his mind racing with the possibilities. He was 13 years old and had just reached the 4th level of cultivation, making him eligible to participate.

Anshi bowed his head, a sincere smile on his face. "Thank you, Master Ling Xiao. I really appreciate the information. I'll make sure to remember everything."

Master Ling Xiao smiled, his eyes warm with approval. "You're welcome, Anshi. Remember to stay focused and keep practicing. The competition will be a great opportunity for you to test your skills and learn from others."

Anshi nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards his master. He knew that Master Ling Xiao was always looking out for him, and he was determined to make his master proud.
