Chapter 10: Chapter 10

*chapter 10:one-month training*

"Finally, I'm out of danger" with a smile on his face Anshi thought to himself. The feeling of surviving a near death experience really made him feel like he has been reborn.

"unless I have a sufficient cultivation realm, I will never go too deep into the Cai forest" he muttered with a solemn expression on his young face. Thinking to his lack of speed compared to the crisom troll, Anshi decided to cut his training time to one month.

Simply because he wanted to return to his master, Mr. Ling Xiao to ask for both movement and defense techniques to enable him become better in battle.

He already has an attacking skill, being the dragon fist technique. But he lacked in the aspects of defense and speed. Coming from a remote clan, they did not posses many martial technique, and all of them are only available for the clan elders.

The reason ever clan member have cultivation technique was because, it was the root of cultivation in their society.

However the An clan being a remote clan, they lacked martial techniques.

So Anshi lacking in the aspect of movement and defense techniques was no big deal. His dragon fist technique was granted by his master, so he wanted to ask his master if he could provide him movement and defense skill.

Anshi spent the next month training intensively, pushing his body to its limits. He woke up every morning at dawn to practice his movement techniques, using the obstacle course he had set up in the clearing to improve his speed and agility.

In the afternoons, Anshi focused on developing his defensive skills, practicing various stances and techniques to improve his reflexes and reaction time.

At night, Anshi sat in meditation, cultivating his internal energy and focusing on his breath. He also spent time reviewing his progress, identifying areas for improvement and adjusting his training plan accordingly.

Through sheer determination and hard work, Anshi made significant progress over the month. His speed and agility increased dramatically, and his defensive skills became more refined. He also noticed improvements in his overall physical and mental well-being.

With his training complete, Anshi felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. He knew that he was now better equipped to face the challenges of the Cai Forest, and he was eager to return to his master and continue his journey.

Anshi packed his belongings and set off towards Master Ling Xiao's residence, eager to share his progress with his master. As he walked, he felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. He had worked hard over the past month, and he was confident that his master would be impressed.

After a few hours of walking, Anshi arrived at Master Ling Xiao's residence, a serene and peaceful compound surrounded by lush greenery. He was greeted by the familiar sight of the beautifully landscaped gardens and the sound of gently flowing water.

Anshi made his way to the main house, where he found Master Ling Xiao meditating in the courtyard. Master Ling Xiao opened his eyes as Anshi approached, and a warm smile spread across his face.

"Ah, Anshi, I sense that you have made significant progress," Master Ling Xiao said, his eyes twinkling with interest. "Tell me, what have you learned?"

Anshi took a deep breath, eager to share his experiences with his master. He began to recount his training, from his struggles with the obstacle course to his breakthroughs in defensive techniques.

Master Ling Xiao listened intently, his expression growing more serious as Anshi spoke. When Anshi finished, Master Ling Xiao nodded thoughtfully.

"You have done well, Anshi," Master Ling Xiao said. "But there is still much for you to learn. I sense that you are ready for the next step of cultivation"said master Ling Xiao.

Master Ling Xiao smiled, his eyes shining with warmth. "Anshi, I am pleased with your progress. As a reward, I will gift you two new techniques."

Anshi's eyes widened with excitement as Master Ling Xiao handed him two small, intricately carved wooden boxes.

"The first technique is the 'Windstep' movement technique," Master Ling Xiao explained, opening the first box to reveal a small, yellow-colored scroll. "This technique will allow you to move with greater speed and agility, dodging attacks with ease."

Anshi's eyes scanned the scroll, his mind racing with excitement. The Windstep technique was a yellow-grade movement technique, one that would greatly enhance his mobility.

Master Ling Xiao opened the second box, revealing another yellow-colored scroll. "The second technique is the 'Ironwall' defense technique," he explained. "This technique will allow you to defend against even the strongest attacks, protecting yourself from harm."

Anshi's eyes widened as he scanned the scroll, his mind racing with the possibilities. The Ironwall technique was a yellow-grade defense technique, one that would greatly enhance his defensive capabilities.

With these two new techniques, Anshi felt a surge of confidence. He knew that he was one step closer to achieving his goal of becoming a powerful cultivator. Not to mention this was what he had in mind to ask his master for, he was super excited about receiving these two skill book without asking.

Anshi looked at Master Ling Xiao with a curious expression. "Master, I'm grateful for the gift of these two techniques. However, I'm not sure how to use them effectively in combat. Could you provide some guidance?"

Master Ling Xiao nodded, a hint of a smile on his face. "Of course, Anshi. Let us sit down and discuss the finer points of the Windstep and Ironwall techniques."

Anshi sat down next to Master Ling Xiao, his eyes eager for knowledge. Master Ling Xiao began to explain the intricacies of the two techniques, providing examples of how to use them in different combat scenarios.

As Master Ling Xiao spoke, Anshi's understanding of the techniques deepened. He realized that the Windstep technique was not just about moving quickly, but also about being able to change direction rapidly and catch opponents off guard.

Similarly, the Ironwall technique was not just about defending against attacks, but also about being able to counterattack and turn the tables on one's opponent.

With Master Ling Xiao's guidance, Anshi felt a surge of confidence. He knew that he still had a lot to learn, but he was eager to put his new techniques to the test.
