Naruto: You Call This A Medical Ninja?

Chapter 596: Chapter 596: The Road to Completion, The Ancient Starry Sky Road!

After the meal, Reiki took Yuhi Kurenai, Shizune, and Terumi Mei, along with his two children, to Tsunade's residence.

His eldest daughter, Luo Lin, was 7 years old this year, already an elite jounin, and her mother was Yuhi Kurenai.

His second son, Luo Yu, was 5 years old, at the level of a chunin, and his mother was Shizune.

There was also another child on the way, still unborn, as Terumi Mei was currently pregnant.

Soon, the group arrived at Tsunade's courtyard.

"Teacher, this is a gift for you," Reiki said, stepping into the familiar courtyard and handing over a gift to Tsunade with a warm smile.

"Alright, come in and sit," Tsunade said, her gaze softening as she looked at Luo Lin and Luo Yu. "You two, go play with Brother Uchiha at the training ground. Brother Senju Chiajue is there too. He'll call you when it's time to eat cake."

Tsunade brushed past Reiki and picked up the two little ones with a loving expression. Seeing this, Reiki felt a tinge of envy. After all, he had never experienced such tenderness in his own life.

"Brother Nawaki. Sister Sara."

Reiki turned to greet Nawaki and Sara, who were together nearby.

The "Kindred" Tsunade had mentioned earlier referred to Nawaki's son, Senju Chiajue. At just 3 years old, Chiajue had awakened the Wood Release. Now, at 9 years old, under Reiki's training, he already showed the potential to surpass his father.

"Reiki, you're staying for a while this time, right? By the way, do you have any medicine for back pain? My old injuries are acting up," Nawaki said, pulling Reiki aside and speaking in a low voice.

"Of course," Reiki said with a mischievous grin, handing him a few bottles of potions. "But Brother Nawaki, maybe you should focus more on training. You... hehe."

"Reiki, you're finally back!" Uchiha Shisui's voice interrupted. His aura now was far stronger than before. The Mangekyo in his eyes had long been mastered, and he was now a formidable leader of the combat team, capable of facing Otsutsuki-level threats head-on.

"Even if I told you, it wouldn't help..." Reiki said with a shrug. "This time, the investigation turned up nothing again. Honestly, I'm starting to wonder if Sage Tianying and the others were mistaken."

"Boom!"

A sudden punch from Namikaze Nozuki landed squarely on Reiki. "What exactly are you looking for?" Nozuki demanded. "Every time, you act so mysteriously, leaving us riddles. If you don't tell me this time, I won't let you go!"

"I'm looking for a path," Reiki replied calmly. "It's the answer to the biggest question I've had all these years. I've found some clues, but nothing concrete yet. So, I don't know how to explain it to you."

"Alright, that's enough," Tsunade interjected, cutting off their bickering. "The Otsutsuki crisis has been resolved for now. The next wave of Otsutsuki members won't arrive for a few more years. Our priority is to focus on training and breaking through our limits."

"Yes, teacher," the group chorused, settling down to discuss the upcoming plans.

Beside Shadowleaf Lake

After the small gathering, Reiki and Shisui left while the others stayed with Tsunade in her newly renovated, grand home.

"Still no progress?" Shisui asked calmly. "Or is it that you've found something but don't want to face it?"

Reiki sighed. "I've found it, but I haven't explored it yet. Right now, my concern is how to tell Shizune and the others. This journey might take a long time, and I want to wait until Terumi Mei gives birth before leaving."

In the moonlight, the shadows of the two stretched long across the ground. After a brief silence, Shisui turned to Reiki.

"Go ahead. You have to do this. They'll understand," Shisui encouraged.

"I'm afraid I won't be able to come back," Reiki admitted, a trace of helplessness flashing in his eyes.

Yes, what he sought was the path to Earth. He had found the Ancient Starry Sky Road but stepping onto it filled him with uncertainty. If he couldn't return... then what?

Just then, the space in front of them rippled. A dragon claw emerged, placing a massive scroll before Reiki before vanishing.

"So soon?" Reiki murmured, shocked. He picked up the scroll, and as soon as he touched it, a stream of information flooded his mind. He saw an enormous door—The Eternal Gate. This gate was the bridge connecting two worlds. Beyond it lay the path to Earth.

But this journey would be anything but ordinary.

April

After saying goodbye to his loved ones, Reiki prepared to embark on the Ancient Starry Sky Road. His heart was heavy, yet resolute.

The legend of the medical ninja had not ended—it had merely begun anew.
