Naruto: You Call This A Medical Ninja?

After pondering for a while, Reiki decided to wait until the children woke up before asking questions.

Early the next morning, one of the little boys woke up.

"Yu, how are you feeling? Is there any discomfort?" Makawa asked, his face full of concern.

"Brother Makawa... I'm fine," Yu replied, his big eyes looking up at Makawa as he shook his head, still a little disoriented.

"Yu, can you tell me why you're in this condition? Have you been exposed to anything unusual?" Reiki asked directly, his tone serious.

Yu paused to think before slowly answering, "Something unusual? Well… we met a really kind big brother. He gave us some delicious fruit to eat."

"A big brother? In the village?" Reiki asked, his surprise evident.

"Yes, it was in the village. That day, we…"

Yu began recounting the events.

That day, the children had gone out for a walk after practice and wandered to the hillside outside the village. Lost in their play, they forgot the time. By the time they decided to return, it was already dark.

With the older children away at the special training camp, they made a bold decision to camp out instead of returning to the orphanage. They started a fire and prepared to grill some fish and shrimp.

It was then that a young man appeared.

He approached the children, engaging them in conversation. Being children, they sensed no malice from him. Moreover, because of Reiki's influence, the children had grown up with little suspicion or fear of others.

They quickly accepted him as a friend.

Before leaving, the young man gave them some fruit. The children ate it happily and didn't think much of it.

As Yu recalled this, a thought struck him.

"Wait! I didn't eat the fruit he gave us. I saved it for you, Boss!" Yu exclaimed.

He jumped up and ran to his room, returning shortly with a small box.

"Boss, here it is," Yu said, opening the box to reveal a red fruit.

"This…" Reiki stared at the fruit, momentarily stunned.

The fruit radiated potent natural energy. Though it wasn't corrupted like the energy from the Evil God Cult, it was still far beyond what children could safely consume.

No wonder the children's chakras had surged and their meridians were eroding.

"Yu, get some rest," Reiki said gently, patting Yu's head with a warm smile.

This wasn't the children's fault, and Reiki had no intention of blaming them. Any lessons could wait until after they had recovered.

"Okay," Yu replied with a nod, running off.

"Makawa, keep an eye on things here. I'm heading to the Barrier Team," Reiki instructed before leaving the orphanage.

Although Konoha's walls seemed simple, they were reinforced by a powerful barrier. If the mysterious young man had entered from outside the village, the Barrier Team should have a record of it. If not...

Reiki's expression darkened.

This level of infiltration hadn't happened since Danzo and Hiruzen Sarutobi's conspiracies. Whoever this intruder was, Reiki wouldn't let them off easily.

"Makawa, we'll stay here to help with the children," Shizune said as Reiki left.

Neither Shizune nor Kurenai could assist with Reiki's task, so they decided to stay and ensure the children were taken care of.

Reiki arrived at the Barrier Team's headquarters.

"Reiki! Back in the village? Aren't you supposed to be at the special training camp?" Yamanaka Jane greeted him warmly.

"Master Jane, I've returned because I discovered something troubling. I need access to the Barrier Team's data," Reiki explained, handing her a set of potions.

"You really don't need to keep bringing potions," Jane said with a smile, but she immediately began her search.

After over an hour, she returned with her findings.

"Reiki, I've reviewed all the records from the past month. No intruders were detected. Did something happen?" Jane asked, confused.

The Barrier Team meticulously logged every anomaly, and even unrecorded events left traces within the barrier. Yet she found nothing.

"No intruders? I see. Thank you, Master Jane," Reiki said, his expression grim as he left.

Jane watched him leave, her unease growing. Could there be a flaw in Konoha's defenses? Without wasting any time, she called the Barrier Team to reinforce and inspect the barrier.

Reiki made his way to a cliff overlooking Konoha and activated his system scan.

With the current peace in the ninja world, there were few significant battles or major injuries. If this intruder was still in Konoha, Reiki hoped the scan would reveal them.

"Boom!"

A powerful attack suddenly struck where Reiki had been standing moments ago, kicking up a thick cloud of dust.

"Did you dodge? As expected of Konoha's super-genius, Reiki the Medical Ninja…"

A strange voice echoed from within the dust. With a wave of his hand, the figure dispelled the haze, revealing himself.

It was a young man.

Reiki stood at a distance, studying him.

Though his face was calm, his eyes were filled with a chilling intensity.
