Chapter 400: Chapter 400: Pakura, the Fifth Kazekage
Late at night.
Sunagakure.
Having successfully driven off Sasori of the Red Sand and demonstrated her formidable strength, Pakura was taken into a meeting by Chiyo and the other high-ranking officials of Sunagakure upon her return to the village.
The content of the meeting was straightforward: they decided to appoint Pakura as the Fifth Kazekage of Sunagakure and set the date for her inauguration and subsequent plans.
Pakura wasn't surprised by this decision.
Though she was primarily focused on her training, she didn't have a strong desire to become the Fifth Kazekage. Returning to claim the position was more about her attachment to Sunagakure and a desire to vent her frustrations.
Of course, the main reason was that Pakura hoped to contribute to Shishou's vision of peace by controlling Sunagakure and bringing true peace to the ninja world.
After Chiyo and Maki finalized the inauguration ceremony date, Pakura excused herself and left.
Upon returning to her courtyard, Pakura saw Shishou sitting there, gazing at the moon, with Sasori's puppet body lying at his feet.
It was clear to Pakura that he had gone to avenge her.
Feeling a warmth in her heart, Pakura walked over with a smile.
"You're back."
Shishou looked up at Pakura and smiled.
"Yes," Pakura replied, sitting on Shishou's lap and leaning into his embrace.
Shishou nudged Sasori's puppet body with his foot and said, "I brought you a gift. Unfortunately, Sasori abandoned his main body puppet and escaped at the last moment."
Shishou then recounted his battle with Sasori.
Pakura wriggled a bit in Shishou's arms and said with a smile, "As long as his puppets are destroyed, Sasori is no longer a threat."
A puppet master without their puppets was significantly weakened and not a concern.
Pakura was already aware of Sasori's chakra core from what Shishou had told her, so she wasn't surprised.
Looking up at the moon in the night sky, Shishou continued their conversation.
"You came back late. It seems Sunagakure has decided to make you the Fifth Kazekage, right?"
"Yes, they even set the date. In a few days, they'll inform the Daimyo of the Land of Wind."
"Once you're Kazekage, what are your plans?"
"What plans? I'll continue my Sage training."
"You're the Kazekage now; you should have some plans."
"Well, I plan to set up a secretarial team like Tsunade did, then leave everything to Maki and the others while I focus on my training."
Shishou couldn't help but laugh, shaking his head. He felt that Tsunade and Pakura had been influenced by Mei Terumi, becoming somewhat unprofessional.
"You'll just be a figurehead Kazekage."
Pakura laughed, "As long as they listen to me, it doesn't matter."
Then, with a determined look, Pakura said, "Shishou, will you come to my inauguration ceremony?"
Shishou was taken aback, "Attend? In what capacity?"
Pakura proudly lifted her chin and smiled, "How about as the Fifth Kazekage's man?"
Shishou laughed and hugged Pakura tightly. "My battle with the leader of Akatsuki is approaching. I'm worried it might bring trouble to Sunagakure."
Although he could easily deal with Akatsuki members, they were still formidable and could cause significant casualties to ordinary people.
Hearing this, Pakura agreed. "Alright, let's not talk about that. Let's continue what we were doing."
With that, Pakura leaned in and kissed Shishou.
After a while, Shishou carried Pakura into the room, and they continued their passionate embrace.
...
The next morning.
Shishou woke up early. It wasn't that he didn't want to sleep more, but he had promised Temari to help her with Wind Release training in the morning.
Since witnessing Pakura's display of strength, Temari had become more dedicated to her training.
Seeing Pakura awake due to his movements, Shishou kissed her on the cheek and whispered, "I have to go now. I'll see you tonight."
"Mm," Pakura mumbled, hugging Shishou briefly before falling back asleep.
She was utterly exhausted from the previous night.
With Pakura asleep again, Shishou got dressed and used the Flying Thunder God technique to return to Temari's courtyard.
After washing up, Shishou saw Temari approaching eagerly.
"Let's go train outside the village."
Seeing Shishou awake, Temari pulled him along.
They arrived at a nearby desert area and stopped.
Shishou used Earth Release to create a cave to shield them from the midday sun.
For the next few days, Shishou trained Temari in Wind Release during the day and spent time with Pakura at night, guiding her Sage training.
After several days of training, Temari had managed to perform the Rasengan, though it was still unstable and needed more practice.
Her goal wasn't the Rasengan itself but mastering shape transformation.
Once she improved her chakra shape transformation, she began integrating Wind Release chakra nature transformation into her jutsus, following Shishou's advice.
Integrating the same chakra nature into jutsus enhances their power.
For example, Mei Terumi's Hidden Mist Technique, enhanced with Water Release chakra nature transformation, could even obscure Uchiha Madara's Rinnegan.
While Temari trained in Wind Release, Pakura continued her Sage training.
Since awakening the White Snake Sage's bloodline, Pakura's ability to sense and control natural energy had increased rapidly.
In just two days, under Shishou's guidance, Pakura had successfully entered Sage Mode, further boosting her strength.
A few more days passed, and the day of the Fifth Kazekage's inauguration arrived.
Pakura formally accepted the Kazekage's hat, becoming the Fifth Kazekage of Sunagakure.
Shortly after, Shishou's various enterprises began investing in Sunagakure, developing unique industries to boost the village's economy.
Pakura's immediate success in attracting significant investment bolstered her prestige within Sunagakure.
Seizing the opportunity, Pakura quickly formed a secretarial team and delegated tasks to Maki and the others, allowing herself to focus on her Sage training.
A few more days passed.
Once Temari successfully integrated Wind Release chakra nature transformation into her jutsus, Shishou bid her farewell, preparing to leave Sunagakure.
Having been on a mission for so long, it was time for Shishou to return to Konoha.
