There may be some connection between the two.
"Ino, what are you talking about?"
Sakura laughed, "How could he possibly beat Sasuke?"
In the three weeks since school started, aside from Shiki, Sasuke has been far ahead by a large margin—both in practical and theoretical aspects.
As for Naruto, calling him average would be a compliment.
Although Kiba, Chouji, and others didn't speak, their thoughts mirrored Sakura's.
"Shiki, what do you think?"
Ino wanted to argue with Sakura, but she didn't know what to say. Deep down, she still believed Sasuke would win.
"Use your eyes." Shiki replied with a faint smile.
Ino was momentarily stunned, 'Shiki, you're quite the jokester.'
She didn't ask any further, as the fight between Naruto and Sasuke had already begun.
"I wonder how much Naruto has improved," Hiruzen muttered, setting aside his pipe as he focused on the crystal ball.
Not many knew about the time Might Duy fought the Seven Ninja Swordsmen alone, which also left his son, Guy, relatively unknown. But Hiruzen knew full well.
"Since you want to lose, I'll grant your wish." Sasuke said, facing Naruto as they exchanged the seal of opposition.
"Come on!" Naruto shouted, "Don't hold back just because we're friends!"
"Hmph, you're not my friend." Sasuke replied, throwing two kunai toward Naruto.
Naruto dodged them easily and charged forward, faster than Sasuke expected. Surprised but not deterred, Sasuke threw a right hook, which Naruto blocked. The two collided, fists meeting, and they both retreated.
But Sasuke took half a step back.
He was shocked—he hadn't expected to be pushed back in the first exchange.
Though he hated to admit it, Naruto was strong.
Annoyed, Sasuke prepared to strike again, but Naruto was already on the move.
"Konoha Whirlwind!"
Naruto planted his hand on the ground, twisted his body, and aimed a spinning kick at Sasuke. The wind howled as the kick connected.
Sasuke's eyes widened, barely managing to block the kick with his arm. The force numbed his entire arm and sent him flying backward, crashing to the ground.
Sasuke groaned in pain, staring at Naruto in disbelief.
Who am I? Where am I? How did I get kicked away?
Naruto stood there, equally confused.
Is Konoha Whirlwind really that strong?
He grinned, "I did it, Sensei!" Naruto cheered, clenching his fists as his whole body trembled in excitement, "The power of youth is truly amazing!"
"How is this possible?" Sakura rubbed her eyes, thinking she was seeing things, "Did Naruto really beat Sasuke?"
Kiba stared in disbelief, "No way."
Ino glanced at Shiki, who remained calm. Had he known this would happen? It seemed Naruto's improvement had something to do with him.
"Naruto has indeed grown stronger." Hiruzen said with a satisfied smile, watching through the crystal ball.
"It's not over yet." Neji interjected.
Sasuke stood up, his expression dark. Being beaten by someone he considered last place was humiliating.
"You've angered the Uchiha." Sasuke said coldly, forming hand seals.
"This is…" Iruka took a step forward, recognizing the jutsu. This could get dangerous!
Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!
Sasuke exhaled, launching a massive fireball toward Naruto. The heat distorted the air, causing the onlookers to step back in awe. Sasuke's mastery of Fire Release was far beyond the other students, who hadn't yet perfected basic ninjutsu.
"As expected from an Uchiha." Tenten said with admiration.
Neji nodded in agreement, acknowledging Sasuke as a worthy rival.
"Whoa!" Naruto yelped as the fireball rushed toward him. He barely managed to roll out of the way, but his arm was scorched.
"My clothes!" Naruto cried, slapping at his burning green tights.
Sasuke, now serious, charged at Naruto with a kunai in hand. He was determined to end the fight quickly; losing wasn't an option.
Naruto reacted instinctively, leaping back to avoid Sasuke's attacks. His training with Guy had significantly improved his reflexes and physical condition.
Sasuke paused and threw another kunai. Naruto dodged, rolling to the left, and used the momentum to leap into the air. Holding his right wrist with his left hand, he aimed his elbow at Sasuke.
"Sasuke, this is my last move! Take it!"
Naruto descended with force.
"Idiot." Sasuke muttered, hurling two kunai in return. From his perspective, Naruto was wide open.
But what he didn't anticipate was Naruto's speed.
In the blink of an eye, the distance between them closed, and Naruto's elbow hit Sasuke squarely in the chest.
The impact knocked Sasuke unconscious.
"Shiki! Come here quickly!" Naruto shouted instinctively.
Though Sasuke had fainted, Naruto saw him as a friend, and seeing him like this made him anxious.
The watching students were in shock. The outcome had been completely unexpected, full of surprises.
"Pinch me." Sakura said, extending her arm, unable to believe what had just happened.
Ino casually patted her skin.
"It doesn't hurt, it's really fake."
Sakura showed a look of realization. "It's true."
Shino said calmly, "Sasuke learned the Great Fireball Technique, Naruto mastered the Konoha Whirlwind, and I got a new Parasite. Everyone has a bright future. Man, it's amazing."
"Damn it." Kiba clenched his fists, "No, I can't let Naruto surpass me. I have to find my own dog."
The Aburame clan's secret technique lies in insects. The secret of the Inuzuka clan lies in dogs. Without a dog, Kiba couldn't learn the secret arts.
"Guy taught him well." Hiruzen nodded with satisfaction.
Sasuke, who learned the Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu at the age of six, was definitely a genius. That Naruto was able to defeat him shows he has talent and can continue to learn physical skills. Although there are some side effects, having a young, sunny, and cheerful Jinchūriki isn't a bad idea.
Iruka was stunned for a moment but eventually came to his senses. The main reason for his shock was Naruto, who had always been at the bottom, suddenly defeating Sasuke, who had consistently been second.
He walked forward, intending to check the situation, but someone was already there. Iruka frowned slightly.
Isn't this nonsense? So is Naruto.
Although Shiki is Tsunade's student, he's only a first-year and shouldn't be able to do much. Then, Iruka's eyes widened.
It was a green light. Shiki had learned medical ninjutsu?
This was even more shocking than Naruto defeating Sasuke.
Iruka sighed deeply, "I really came to this world just to make up the numbers."
"Medical ninjutsu?" Neji stared at Shiki, "This guy isn't as bad as I thought." But a medical ninja could never be a match for him.
How boring. Neji had hoped to meet Uchiha Itachi's brother. In this situation, there was probably no chance to fight again.
"He's fine." Shiki said, extending his hand.
"That's good." Naruto patted his chest. He had been worried something might happen to Sasuke. If it did, he'd feel guilty for the rest of his life.
"Sasuke-kun!" Sakura immediately pounced on him.
Ino, seeing this, was envious, her blue eyes betraying her feelings. She also wanted to be close to Shiki and hug him like crazy.
"Get out of the way!" Sasuke said expressionlessly. He felt uncomfortable.
"Are you awake?" Sakura asked happily.
Sasuke struggled to get up, ignoring her, and looked at Naruto. His feelings were complicated. According to his plan, today he would defeat Neji and then Shiki, but neither happened.
"You're tied." Iruka said, smiling broadly as he came back to his senses.
He had realized that, as an ordinary person, his abilities were limited, and there was no need to compare himself to geniuses. And the better his students performed, the better he looked as a teacher.
