"Hee hee, Sister Violet, there's no need to be afraid. After all, being afraid won't help you at all."

Sugar let out a high-pitched laugh, like a child imitating an evil villain. Her tone didn't come across as menacing despite her words—if anything, it was almost endearing.

It was just that what she was saying wasn't cute at all.

"I remember, Sister Violet, that you joined our Donquixote family for your father's life, didn't you?"

"Now that you've chosen to betray the Donquixote family, there's no reason for us to spare your father's life."

Sugar paused, wearing a twisted smile. "Why don't I turn you into a toy, Sister Violet, and then let you kill King Riku, who's locked up in prison? How does that sound?"

"How should I go about it, though? Once you're a toy, you won't be as strong as you are now. Perhaps poison would do the job."

"Or maybe I'll use a firearm—or better yet, set him ablaze with gasoline!"

As she rattled off horrifying suggestions, Sugar extended her hand, moving it toward Violet with eerie slowness.

Violet struggled desperately, but her lower body was frozen in place, leaving her no way to escape. Seeing Sugar's hand inch closer, thoughts of those who'd been turned into toys and treated as Sugar's playthings raced through her mind. Her last defense broke.

"Don't come near me... No... Please, no! I'll talk! I'll tell you everything!"

"So... the Young Master and the others were all captured by that Shin?"

Monet's face turned pale, and she trembled. "How could this happen? That fat oaf Qieen! He's no longer with the Beast Pirates, and he dares mess with us?"

Yes, Monet was aware of Queen's true allegiance. As one of the leaders in the underground, the Donquixote family had a solid intelligence network. Though Wano Country had remained closed off, information trickled through slowly. They'd learned that Shin, Ace, and Yamato—former main forces of the Spade Pirates—had led Kozuki clan remnants to a decisive victory over Kaido and the Beast Pirates, with Queen surrendering to them.

They'd even heard Shin was the leading force in Kaido's defeat and had since subdued the Queen and siblings Page One and Ulti.

However, this information came too late. Just moments ago, Monet had received the report via the den-den mushi. The Donquixote family's top forces might have been spared if it had come even half an hour sooner.

"It's pointless to dwell on that now," Sugar interjected, glancing at her sister. "What's important is, what do we do now?"

"We have to rescue the Young Master!" Monet said without hesitation.

Sugar bit her lip and frowned, "But... it's just the two of us now, isn't it?"

"The remaining cadres are Baby 5 and Buffalo, but they went to handle that traitor Queen, so they've probably been caught already."

"Senior Pink and Machvise are out on a mission... but neither is the strongest among the cadres!"

"Maybe we should notify Vergo first and ask him to mobilize the marines."

Monet ran through the family's remaining resources, but every option seemed fruitless. Then her gaze fell on Sugar.

Sugar felt a chill run down her spine, sensing the danger in her sister's gaze. She forced a reluctant smile.

"Hehe… sister, you don't expect a helpless little girl like me to handle that ruthless, terrifying pirate, do you?"

Monet sighed, "At this point, only your ability with the Hobby-Hobby fruit could turn things around, right?"

"No, sister! With my small frame, if I'm exposed, it'll be over for me!"

"Besides, those high-level pirates are all well-versed in haki. My ability is strong, but it's useless if I can't touch them."

Sensing her impending fate, Sugar's eyes began to water.

"Maybe he doesn't know who you are yet. You could pretend to be an ordinary little girl..." Monet tried to reason with her.

Sugar, however, shook her head vigorously. "That guy's wiped out most of the Donquixote family's main forces. Someone may have leaked information about us!"

"Whether you like it or not, there's no other choice. The Young Master has been captured, and there's no way that guy will ignore the stronghold here at the Royal Palace," Monet stated.

"Your powers have remained hidden all these years, and there hasn't been a threat in Dressrosa until now. But don't forget—the Donquixote family is more than just the rulers of Dressrosa; we're also kings of the underworld!"

"Do you think those dark organizations will spare you when they learn about Donquixote's family's current predicament?"

Sugar's face fell, recognizing her vulnerable position. As a member of the Donquixote family, she knew all too well that other underground forces would come for her regardless of whether they knew her abilities.

If she didn't want to be reduced to a pawn by other factions, her only choice was to help free Doflamingo.

Meanwhile, on Shin's side, he had just defeated Doflamingo after his attempt to resist. Initially, he planned to take all of their Devil Fruits.

But upon reflection, he realized that these particular fruits didn't have much value to him. However, their influence might be helpful.

As the head of an underground empire, Doflamingo had access to a network of resources that rivaled even the Four Emperors.

Had Doflamingo's fruit been as potent as the top devil fruits, his intelligence and business acumen alone might have been enough to establish him as a Four Emperors-level force.

For Shin, however, Doflamingo's status and influence in the dark world were what he sought. With it, he could more efficiently gather devil fruits and valuable information.

Of course, Shin wasn't about to ally with Doflamingo like Kaido had. His plan was to control them all, ensuring immediate and unquestioned loyalty from the entire crew.
