Chapter 197: Chapter 195: Completion

Chapter 195: Completion

High above the Craftsmen Ninja Village.

Baishi looked down at the now-silent village. His Wind Wings fluttered slightly as his body transformed into a streak of blue light, descending to the ground.

Upon landing, his hands formed a series of seals. He unleashed the S-rank soul ninjutsu: Spirit Transformation Technique.

A translucent apparition emerged from his body, radiating dense chakra as it shot into the nearest craftsman ninja's head like a streak of light.

Not even a second later, the apparition exited the ninja's body. Although the pause had been brief, it was sufficient for Baishi to plant a Mental Seed within the ninja's spiritual space.

The spirit darted into the next ninja's mind and repeated the process. Then the next. And the next. One by one, Baishi methodically implanted Mental Seeds into every ninja in the village.

When the task was complete, he ended the technique and took a deep breath.

This was Baishi's solution—direct, efficient, and utterly decisive.

When the craftsman ninjas awoke, they would begin a new chapter in their lives. Old grievances, rivalries, and loyalties would become irrelevant. They would have no choice but to align with his will.

---

One hour later.

As the craftsman ninjas slowly began to regain consciousness, Baishi met with a few of the village's key figures. After giving them orders, he allowed them to resume their usual activities.

During this time, several ninjas approached Baishi to confess that they were spies for other villages.

To his surprise, the Craftsmen Ninja Village had attracted the attention of not just Iwagakure but also Kumogakure and Konohagakure, each sending their own operatives to monitor the village.

As expected, the orchestrators of the rebellion were from Iwagakure.

Unfortunately, the Iwagakure spies were only low-level operatives. They were unaware of Ōnoki's true motives, leaving Baishi in the dark about whether the rebellion was part of a larger scheme to track his whereabouts or another hidden agenda.

But none of this truly mattered. Against overwhelming power, all schemes and calculations were futile.

Baishi shook his head, dismissing the thought. He turned his gaze to Fukuoka and asked, "How long until all the materials are ready?"

"Three days at most, my lord. We will have everything gathered and prepped for forging," Fukuoka assured him confidently.

"Good."

Baishi nodded and replied, "You have three days. I'll return then."

With that, Baishi vanished using the Flying Thunder God Technique.

---

Three Days Later.

On Moon Island, in the central highlands near the hot springs, Baishi stood inside his wooden hut. Activating the Flying Thunder God: Guiding Thunder formula inscribed on his spatial ring, he opened a dark rift and stepped through.

The ring clattered to the ground as Baishi disappeared.

---

Inside the spatial ring's subdimension, Baishi appeared in a storage chamber.

Before him lay stacks of array bases—iron rods roughly the thickness of a calf and about half a meter tall. They were plain in appearance but engraved with intricate etchings, resembling some form of sealing script.

Baishi's eyes lit up with excitement.

These rods, dubbed "array bases," were the key components of the Spirit Gathering Array. While made from chakra-conducting metal, they still needed additional modifications to channel natural energy effectively.

To achieve this, the etched markings would be vital.

Baishi inhaled deeply, formed a series of seals, and activated Wood Release: Wood Clone Technique.

Four clones emerged, identical in every way.

"It's time to begin," Baishi instructed.

Without hesitation, the clones acknowledged his command. Each had been imprinted with the complete assembly process, ensuring flawless cooperation with the original.

Grabbing a stack of array bases, Baishi and his clones exited the storage chamber and headed to different locations within the space.

---

Baishi started at the central hub of the Spirit Gathering Array, placing array bases into pre-carved grooves in the ground.

With precision, he connected 28 central nodes in just 30 minutes. His clones reported similar progress, each completing the 20 nodes assigned to their respective quadrants.

In total, 108 nodes were connected, forming the foundation of the array.

"Time for the next step," Baishi muttered.

After recalling his clones, he retrieved a sealed wooden barrel from another storage area.

"Release," he commanded, breaking the seals.

Inside the barrel was a viscous black liquid—specially formulated ink used for writing advanced sealing scripts. Its exceptional conductivity made it the perfect medium for this task.

Baishi flew to the eastern section of the array, soaring above the intricate network of grooves carved into the ground.

From this vantage point, he could see the array's patterns clearly.

Extending a finger toward the barrel, he manipulated the ink to flow into the grooves, filling them uniformly. The ink solidified almost instantly, creating stable channels to connect the nodes.

Next, Baishi drew his own blood and directed it onto the iron rods serving as array bases.

Due to the regenerative properties granted by his Rebirth: Cellular Regeneration, his blood was rich with life force and had the unique ability to channel both chakra and natural energy.

As his blood seeped into the engravings, it fused with the rods, imbuing them with the capacity to transmit natural energy.

One by one, Baishi repeated the process for each node.

---

Hours later, he completed the setup of all 108 nodes.

Exhausted but determined, Baishi activated the Flying Thunder God: Guiding Thunder formula and returned to the outside world.

There, he meditated beneath the moonlight, replenishing his chakra and absorbing natural energy until his reserves were full.

With his preparations complete, he returned to the spatial ring's subdimension, carrying five massive scrolls—the "keys" to activate the array.

Once again, he summoned four wood clones and distributed the scrolls among them.

"Let's finish this," he ordered.

The clones nodded and teleported to their designated locations within the array.

Baishi stood at the central hub, unfurling his scroll as he waited for confirmation from the clones.

"We're in position," came their synchronized reports.

"Begin," Baishi commanded.

Chakra poured into the scrolls, activating the sealing scripts etched within. The interconnected patterns glowed brilliantly, converging at the central hub where Baishi stood.

With a final surge of chakra, Baishi roared, "Activate!"

The entire Spirit Gathering Array came to life.

A network of light appeared above the nodes, forming a glowing net that shimmered like a celestial web.

Baishi's clones worked in unison to stabilize the array, guiding the light downward until it merged seamlessly with the engraved grooves and array bases.

Suddenly, 108 beams of light shot skyward, colliding with the barrier of the Sky-Sealing Formation above.

The formation trembled but held firm, allowing the beams to retract and stabilize.

The array was complete.

A gentle breeze rustled through the space, carrying with it the faint, tranquil presence of natural energy.

Baishi smiled, feeling the success of his creation resonate within him.

The Spirit Gathering Array was operational.
