Chapter 195: Chapter 193: Construction

Chapter 193: Construction

Outside.

Wooden house.

In the training room, Baishi's figure appeared silently. After sensing his surroundings and confirming no danger, he activated the Flying Thunder God: Guidance Lightning technique engraved on the space ring.

A pitch-black spatial rift opened before him. Without any hesitation, Baishi stepped into the rift and vanished. The only sound was the faint clink of the space ring falling to the ground, spinning a few times before coming to rest.

Meanwhile.

Inside the space ring.

Baishi emerged from the dark rift into a study. The room was lined with bookshelves filled with books and scrolls. However, these weren't solely collections of ninjutsu, genjutsu, or taijutsu techniques. A significant portion consisted of his research notes.

These notes covered a range of topics, from sealing techniques and curse marks to chakra nature transformation and the process of mastering Sage Mode. Writing these entries had become a habit for him, serving both as a way to relax and as a tool for identifying and correcting his mistakes.

Over time, the bookshelves had filled with these records.

Baishi approached one of the shelves and retrieved several sheets of parchment. They were filled with densely packed seal diagrams—his blueprint for the Spiritual Gathering Array.

After a final review to ensure there were no errors, he formed hand seals and used Wood Release: Wood Clone Technique.

"You, head east. You, west. The two of you, south and north."

He handed the blueprints to the four clones, issuing instructions.

Transforming the space within the ring into a realm capable of autonomously absorbing natural energy like the three great sacred lands was no easy feat. Just the scope of the modification was daunting.

The space within his ring, while smaller than the sacred lands, spanned nearly five square kilometers—a circle with a diameter of about 1.2 kilometers. Modifying such a large area required meticulous effort.

Thus, he summoned four wood clones to share the workload.

Baishi unfolded his Wind Wings, leaping into the air to hover at the center. From his vantage point, he directed the clones using Communication Technique to align their positions precisely.

Once the clones reached their designated spots, Baishi initiated the process. Forming hand seals, he activated Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique.

As his hands separated, a translucent tetrahedron formed between his palms. A beam of white light shot out from its apex, cutting into the ground below like a laser, leaving deep trenches in its wake.

Baishi moved his hands continuously, guiding the beam to carve dozens of trenches into the ground. From his aerial view, these trenches formed an enlarged seal pattern.

Of course, these trenches alone wouldn't suffice. Specific materials were needed to fill them—materials capable of conducting both chakra and natural energy. Without such materials, the array couldn't be activated.

Over the next three days, supported by his vast chakra reserves, Baishi and his wood clones completed the Spiritual Gathering Array's foundational carvings.

When the five sections of the array were seamlessly connected, Baishi finally exhaled in relief.

After a satisfying rest, he summoned Summer and Firefly from the space ring.

"Is everything ready at the Craftsmen Ninja Village?" he asked.

"Reporting to you, my lord," Summer replied. "Fukuoka sent word that the chakra-conducting metal you requested is still partially missing, but he's working diligently to acquire it."

Fukuoka, the current leader of the Craftsmen Ninja Village, was the one Baishi had previously brought under his control. Baishi's weapon, Dark Cyan, had been forged by Fukuoka himself.

The chakra-conducting metal was essential for filling the trenches of the Spiritual Gathering Array. Baishi had communicated his requirements to Fukuoka through the Mental Seed Technique, but several days had passed without the materials being fully assembled.

Frowning, Baishi muttered his dissatisfaction.

Firefly hesitated before speaking up.

"There's... another issue."

"What is it?" Baishi's tone sharpened.

Sensing his displeasure, Firefly quickly bowed and explained, "My lord, Fukuoka reported that certain individuals within the village are dissatisfied with his actions and have been sabotaging him both openly and covertly."

"Sabotage?"

Baishi's frown deepened. He regretted not having taken control of the entire Craftsmen Ninja Village earlier, as such interference could have been avoided.

"Who are they?" he asked.

"It seems to be a group called the Four Celestial Symbols Men," Firefly replied.

"The Four Celestial Symbols Men..."

Baishi repeated the name, finding it vaguely familiar. After some thought, he recalled who they were.

Years later, this group of four would forge unique ninja tools in an attempt to resurrect the village's founder, Seimei, and challenge the five great ninja villages.

"What were their names again?" Baishi murmured, trying to recall.

"Peacock? And the others..."

Unable to remember the rest, Baishi dismissed the thought. These individuals posed no threat to him. What did their names matter?

With that settled, Baishi stepped out of the space ring, locked onto a Flying Thunder God marker in the distance, and teleported to the Land of Craftsmen.

His plan was straightforward. If the chakra-conducting metal was still incomplete, the ninja tools forged by the Four Celestial Symbols Men would suffice.

Each of their tools—Peacock's Wind Blades, the chakra-absorbing Infinite Peacock Armor, the Light Sword, and the Dragon-Eye Sword capable of sensing chakra—were all crafted from exceptional materials.

Whether the tools were finished yet was irrelevant. If the group became an obstacle, Baishi wouldn't hesitate to remove them and expedite Fukuoka's work.
