In less than 5 minutes, the woman had already worn her clothes properly and tidied her appearance a little to make sure no one could see any peculiarities in her appearance.

He thought to himself, determined to make the most of his limited resources and find a way to improve his financial situation. 

He knew that he had enormous capital in a bank, but he wouldn't use it as it would bring him more trouble than finding a new way to earn money.

As for his knowledge about medicine, he didn't know if he could use it in this world because the herbs and plants were different.

Yang Chen couldn't check the mirror of Samsara because of the ungrateful drunkard. He could only sighed and continue his day like usual.

After pushing his single-wheel vending cart to his spot, Old Li, who had been selling his deep-fried sausages, smiled at Yang Chen.

"Little Yang, you came late today, did you have date or something yesterday?"

"Who? Me? Nope."

"You sound suspiciously defensive." 

Old Li chuckled. then continue.

"My family's Jingjing finished her internship and returned home, yesterday she even told me to remember the kindness you showed us. Little Yang, if it wasn't for you, how can we possibly manage to afford both letting my wife see a doctor and providing Jingjing enough money to survive during her internship at that far away place?"

Old Li's daughter, Li Jingjing, was the child he and his wife conceived late, their treasure. When she graduated from university, she went to another city for internship for two months, before returning home.

Yang Chen had met that girl twice, she's classified as a rare beauty.

He could tell that she had a feeling for him, but the old Yang Chen was messed up in the head. So he never had any idea that Jingjing might be interested in him.

'So fucked up, man.'

Yang Chen didn't think much and told him that he could just return the kindness by treating him to the dinner he mentioned yesterday.

"Alright then!" 

Old Li suddenly nodded. 

"If you didn't mention it I would've forgotten, my wife and Jingjing both said to invite you to our house for a meal to properly express our gratitude. Tonight it is then!"

Yang Chen didn't have anything to do except check the mirror a bit, so it would be alright if he went to eat at his place a little bit. He wasn't the old Yang Chen who thought too much over a simple dinner.

Yang Chen and Old Li then spoke with each other to kill time and wait for their customers to come. Yang Chen felt that it was too peaceful and there should be trouble.

He then remembered what happened yesterday.

'Oh right, those guys should have gone to the hospital already, so there's no trouble today. How lonely.'

Yang Chen sighed, feeling a bit disappointed.

Not too long after, a police car drove by, and two policemen and one police officer wearing a white shirt came out of it, walking towards Yang Chen with a strong expression.

The leading police officer coldly asked.

"Are you Yang Chen?"

Once the police arrived, the surrounding populace crowded over, discussing in whispers whether Yang Chen was about to be unlucky.

"Yep, It's me. What can I help you with today?"

Yang Chen smiled. He felt that these policemen came looking for trouble.

The police officer flashed his badge and said it with cold arrogance. 

"I am West Region Police Department's Captain Feng Biao, someone reported that you are a suspect to have poisoned people yesterday, right now we want to bring you to the police station to assist with the investigation immediately!"

Old Li, who stood at the side, panicked and hurriedly went up to explain.

"My police friends, you guys are arresting the wrong person! That was Chen Feng and several hoodlums eating bad things, He didn't even in his stall yesterday!"

"Hmph, whether we arrested the wrong person or not, we will naturally investigate clearly! All I saw was Boss Chen's son was poisoned to the point of near death and he said that he must be the culprit. He must have done something to their food." 

Feng Biao finished speaking and no longer entertained Old Li. He waved his hand to let the two policemen come forward to detain Yang Chen.

'What is this setup? Really interesting.'

Yang Chen let them detain him without resistance, curious to see how the situation would unfold. He couldn't help but wonder how could they know he poisoned them, or were they just making baseless accusations because they had a bad history before?
