Chapter 134 The Gathering Peak is Completely Transparent
Capital, Sacred Temple.
The empty, deserted square.
As the undisputed center of human civilization's power, the ten kilometers surrounding it were a no-vehicle zone.
But at this moment, a convoy of five off-road vehicles burst through recklessly and fearlessly stopped in front of the circular archway of the Sacred Temple.
Next, the doors of the five off-road vehicles opened one after another.
Down stepped a dozen individuals clad in dark military vests, mid to high-rank Transcendents.
They surrounded the last person to disembark, Chen Yu, and "escorted" him into the Sacred Temple.
"Slam!"
Two tall guards standing on either side of the archway immediately saluted and stepped aside, not daring to block the way.
"You all wait here," commanded the sturdily armored strong man with a resolute face, and then he looked at Chen Yu, "You, follow me."
Chen Yu nodded silently and, without saying much, followed behind the strong man into the grand archway of the Sacred Temple.
Suddenly.
It felt as if heaven and earth were reversing.
The space seemed to split apart.
Chen Yu only saw a blur before he arrived inside the familiar interior of the Sacred Temple.

Under the gloomy clouds, there was only a single bluestone path stretching endlessly into the horizon. The central hall could be vaguely seen, slowly distorting under the rising of some mysterious force.
"The Sacred Temple has changed a lot," Chen Yu muttered softly as he looked around.
"You've been here before?" the armored strong man asked in surprise, scanning Chen Yu from head to toe.
The Sacred Temple was the core of the Transcendent realm.
It was also the residence of the Great Emperor.
Under normal circumstances, unless one was a selected "palace insider," at least a mid-rank Transcendent with a passed "political review" was eligible to enter.
"I've been here many times," Chen Yu said with his hands in his pockets, "coming here to treat and administer injections to the queen."
"Oh," the armored strong man muttered thoughtfully, "You're also a doctor then."
"Looks like, big brother, you're not very well informed about me," Chen Yu squinted, "Has my information been officially hidden?"
"Enough talk," the strong man frowned and stepped forward, "The Chief Steward is waiting. Let's go."
Chen Yu caught up, and as if it were an afterthought, he asked, "By the way, how is the queen doing these days? Has her health improved?"
The armored strong man paused, turned, and said, "Don't ask about what you shouldn't."
"Ha, I was just asking casually," Chen Yu shrugged off.
The two did not engage in any further conversation.
Side by side, they pressed forward.
After about a tense ten minutes, they reached the towering main hall.
Unlike the several times Chen Yu had visited before,
today, it seemed like a major meeting was about to take place in the Transcendent realm, and the area outside the hall was already filled with hundreds of people.
Each of them dressed majestically and exuding tremendous presence, gathered in groups, whispering among themselves.
Chen Yu was familiar with many of them,
often seeing their photos on the internal forums of the Transcendents.
Without exception, all were strong individuals of rank B- and above.
Li Yao's father, the Family Head of the Capital the Li Family, was also notably present.
'The rumors say that there are about a hundred B-rank Transcendents in all of the human race. They must all be here,'
'It seems a battle is truly forthcoming.'
Chen Yu was filled with a multitude of thoughts.
The human Transcendent realm's strength was stationed regionally.
F-rank psychics were reserve forces, massively gathered in the Capital for basic training and formative tasks.
Psychics of E and D ranks were lower-tier Transcendents. Having acquired considerable strength, they no longer stayed in the Capital but were deployed to the borders to grow through war and combat. They would only return for a few days each year when their rookies had their graduation assessments.
By the time one reached the C-rank Transcendent level, they were considered pillars of humanity.
The vast majority of Transcendents would struggle to reach this domain in their lifetime.
They were all entrusted with important tasks, more often assuming the role of 'rulers,' stationed in major cities with a population over three million (smaller cities were more often manned by D+ rank psychics with depleted potentials). Or they would be transferred to the Capital for supervision of critical positions.
B-rank was undeniably the upper echelon of human civilization.
Apart from a few who remained in the Capital as the heads of various institutions, groups, and departments at B rank, the rest spread out across the provinces, guarding territories.
All together, there were just over a hundred people.
Each holding significant positions.
Even the movement of just one of them counted as a strategic adjustment for the entire human civilization.
Such actions required a comprehensive set of document approvals and top-level authorization changes.
But today, here outside this Sacred Temple, they had all gathered...
"What are you standing around for? Follow me inside."
The armored strong man standing at the entrance of the hall suddenly spoke, interrupting Chen Yu's thoughts.
"Oh, let's go then." Looking up, Chen Yu exchanged a complex glance with the Li Family Head, and amid the intense gazes of numerous B-rank elites, followed the armored strong man into the hall.
"That young kid, he's Chen Yu, right?"
The Transcendents whispered among themselves.
"Wasn't he missing? To find him at such a critical moment, quite impressive."
"Previously unprecedented dual abilities."
"A transcendent talent of a generation, brilliant and formidable."
"Well nurtured, he might even advance to B-rank..."
Entering the hall.
Wherever the eye reached, it was richly ornate and immensely grand.
Inside, there were only six people.
Chen Yu recognized two of them.
One was the central figure, the Alliance's Chief Steward.
The other was a young man in a flat cap standing to the side.
A while ago, they had both discussed "Zelda"...
"Sir," the armored strong man halted, bowed, and saluted the Alliance's Chief Steward, "Chen Yu, has been brought here."
"You've worked hard."
The alliance's Chief Steward nodded and his piercing gaze fixed directly on Chen Yu.
