My Hero Academia: Nightmare Mode

Chapter 48: The Wedding Decision

It wasn't long after Toga's surprising revelation that the two of them sat down to talk seriously about their future. Kikidori was still processing the whirlwind of everything that had happened in the last few days, but when it came down to it, there was only one thing he knew for sure—he couldn't face this alone. And as much as their relationship had been unconventional, Toga was still the one person who understood him in ways no one else could.

After long conversations, awkward silences, and moments of deep thought, the decision was made. They were going to get married. There wasn't any big, drawn-out proposal, no elaborate plans for a perfect ceremony—it was just them, deciding that they were ready to face this new chapter together, no matter how unpredictable the future seemed.

Kikidori didn't feel the need to do anything extravagant for the wedding. He didn't care about the usual formalities, the flashy suits, or the pristine wedding gowns. His only concern was Toga—and making sure that whatever happened next, they were both in this together.

The wedding day arrived faster than he expected. In typical Kikidori fashion, he wasn't dressed up in anything too fancy. He wore a simple hoodie and jeans, looking just as casual as he had been throughout most of his time at UA. Some people in the class might have expected something a little more formal, but for Kikidori, it just felt right. He wasn't about the spectacle; he was about the moment—the commitment he was making to Toga and their future.

Kirishima, who had been enthusiastically talking about the wedding for weeks, raised an eyebrow when he saw Kikidori's outfit. "Dude, you're the groom! You're supposed to look... well, you know... presentable?"

But Kikidori just shrugged and grinned. "I'm comfortable this way. Toga loves me for who I am, not for what I wear."

Toga, who had arrived in her own understated yet beautiful attire, shot him a playful smile when she saw his hoodie. "I knew you'd go for something casual," she teased, but there was a fondness in her eyes.

The ceremony itself wasn't extravagant, but it was special. There was something comforting about the simplicity of it all. Kikidori, Toga, their closest friends—Class 1-A and a few select heroes—gathered in a small, quiet venue. The air was light, filled with soft laughter and quiet chatter. No one cared about the details; they were there because they all knew this was a moment of change, of growth, and of new beginnings.

When the time came for the vows, Kikidori took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. He wasn't one for public speaking, but he wasn't going to let that stop him. He looked at Toga, seeing her as the person who had always been there for him, even when he didn't deserve it. He smiled, and though he stumbled a bit, he spoke from the heart.

"I don't really have the words to explain how I feel, but... I guess, in the end, it doesn't matter. You're the one person who's always stuck by me, even when everything else was falling apart. And I... I want to stick by you, too. For better or worse, for all the weirdness that comes with us. I'm in this with you."

Toga's eyes softened as she listened, a tear slipping down her cheek. When it was her turn to speak, she didn't say much—just that she loved him, that she always had, and that she couldn't wait for the future they would share.

The vows were simple, but they were real. The bond between them, even with all its chaos and unpredictability, was unshakable.

When the priest announced them as married, Kikidori couldn't help but feel a rush of emotion. But before he could really process it, Toga pulled him in for a kiss—one that was soft, tender, and full of promise for the future.

But, of course, Toga being Toga, she deepened the kiss. And Kikidori, despite his initial surprise, kissed her back. He didn't think too much about it at the moment. Weddings were supposed to be romantic, right? But still, he couldn't help but think, *I don't think that's quite how it's supposed to go...*

The room around them fell silent for a moment as the crowd watched the kiss, some snickering and others blushing. But Kikidori and Toga didn't care—they were in their own world, in a moment that only mattered to the two of them.

And so, in the most unexpected of ways, they sealed their vows, with Toga's playful kiss as their first step into this new chapter of their lives. There was no turning back now, but somehow, Kikidori knew that this was exactly where he was meant to be.
