Chapter 12: The Destruction of the Liu Family:

Qin Qi’s words caused panic to sweep through everyone present. 

Wang Chang nearly fell to his knees. “Senior Qin, no, you mustn’t go through with this,” he pleaded. 

Jiang Mingqing stood frozen in despair, his strength seemingly drained. 

His mind was overwhelmed—countless lives lost, a catastrophe of unimaginable scale. How could he possibly bear such an unbearable burden of guilt?

With a clatter, the sword in his hand dropped to the ground. His face turned ashen with hopelessness. He understood that he was incapable of shouldering such a grave responsibility. 

Wang Chang, noticing his defeated expression, sighed heavily before turning to Qin Qi. “Senior Qin, we will leave immediately and refrain from interfering further. What do you think?”

Qin Qi didn’t respond but instead turned to Qin Yan. “Yan’er, what do you think?”

Qin Yan glanced briefly at Wang Chang. 

Truthfully, he harbored the urge to kill the man, as Wang Chang had played a key role in attacking the Qin family within the grand plot of events. However, he also understood the importance of every martial saint in the Great Xia Nation. Even his own grandfather couldn’t be executed on a whim, let alone Wang Chang.

After considering the matter, Qin Yan replied, “Wang Chang injured many of our Qin family and Yun family warriors. He must take responsibility for that.”

Wang Chang nodded quickly. “Rest assured, I will make sure to heal them completely.”

Qin Yan waved dismissively. “Then leave.”

Without another word, Wang Chang grabbed the despondent Jiang Mingqing and departed.

Gao Wei, watching the deans who had supported him vanish one by one, was struck with an overwhelming fear. 

His body trembled uncontrollably, and his face turned pale with panic. 

Stammering, he began, “Qin…”

“Qin? Qin who? How dare you!” Qin Zhan roared, cutting him off. 

In one swift motion, he struck Gao Wei hard in the chest, sending him flying and smashing through several buildings. 

Without giving him a chance to recover, Qin Zhan dashed after him, grabbing him by the collar and dragging him back like a defeated animal.

Xiao Fan, witnessing all of this, felt utterly numb. 

For the first time, he truly grasped the terrifying power of the Qin family. 

This was a family so formidable that even the government had to yield to them. Yet, he had recklessly offended such an immense power, going so far as to humiliate them. 

A chilling panic crept into his heart, and before he realized it, tears rolled uncontrollably down his face. He understood, with dread, that his life might end here today.

However, Qin Yan paid no attention to Xiao Fan. 

Instead, he turned to the Qin family warriors and commanded coldly, “Eliminate the entire Liu family. Spare only Liu Xinyao and Yan Zhenqiao. Oh, and make sure Liu Xinyao wakes up.”

Despite having knocked the Qin and Yun family warriors aside earlier, Wang Chang had refrained from causing serious harm. He hadn’t dared to risk injuring so many elite fighters, knowing it would signify a declaration of enmity.

Two Qin family warriors approached Liu Xinyao, who was lying unconscious, and slapped her awake. Groggily, she opened her eyes, then screamed, “Father! Father!”

Qin Yan’s voice cut through her cries like a blade. “Begin.”

The Qin family warriors raised their weapons without hesitation, descending upon the Liu family with ruthless efficiency. The sound of blades cutting through flesh filled the air as the massacre unfolded. Liu Xinyao screamed in horror, her eyes filling with blood as she shouted, “Qin Yan, you monster! You devil! You’ll go to hell for this!”

Qin Yan sneered, his tone mocking. “Hell? So what? Even in hell, I’ll reign as king.”

The slaughter was swift and absolute. In moments, the Liu family was reduced to lifeless corpses. Liu Xinyao collapsed to the ground, her strength completely spent. She alternated between laughing and crying, her sanity unraveling before their eyes.

But Qin Yan was not finished. His cold voice rang out again. “Liu Xinyao and Yan Zhenqiao, you’d better hold yourselves together. The Yan family hasn’t arrived yet.”
