My Comatose Husband Divorced Me After Waking Up

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Dealing with the White Lotus

"My ex-wife also had a birthmark like this," the man said, furrowing his brows.

Nan Xia stood still, her mind a whirlwind of panic.

Was she recognized?

She should not have been so reckless; relying on the fact that Feng Jingxuan spent little sober time with her, she thought as long as her acting was superb, her true identity would go unnoticed.

But she had forgotten some distinctive features of her body, like the birthmark on her ear.

Such a glaring oversight.

"The birthmark's also fake; you've really gone to great lengths," Feng Jingxuan said with a distaste, stepping back.

Nan Xia's heart settled a bit: "Mr. Feng, do you really hate your ex-wife so much? Why?"

"After all, you owe your ex-wife; she died in childbirth trying to give you a child. Don't you feel any remorse, or do you just not have a heart at all?"

Feng Jingxuan's thin lips barely moved: "If you're trying to please the old man with a face similar to my ex-wife's, you might as well give up already. The Feng Family is not something you can covet."

Nan Xia chuckled lowly: "Why? Is it because Mr. Feng only likes Song Yushang's type?"

Song Yushang.

When she mentioned this name, Nan Xia almost gritted her teeth.

This despicable man and despicable woman, truly a match made in hell.

She deepened her smile, feeling her fingertips trembling: "I wonder if your ex-wife knew about your relationship with her."

Feng Jingxuan didn't have a girlfriend before.

He was the untouchable flower of the university; no one dared to approach him lightly, and Nan Xia knew he was single, which emboldened her to marry him.

Moreover, after Feng Jingxuan became vegetative, Song Yushang chose to study abroad.

So, he was cheating within the marriage!

Feng Jingxuan's gaze sharpened: "These are matters you shouldn't be asking about."

"Yushang is not a mistress. What happened between us has nothing to do with my ex-wife, from the very beginning."

What a thing to say, no relation whatsoever.

Nan Xia trembled with rage.

Just then, someone knocked on the door. It was He Zheng, holding a contract with a helpless expression on his face: "Matilda, these are the clauses Mr. Feng instructed me to add; please sign it."

It was just a contract, not her first time signing one. Why was He Zheng showing such a pained expression?

Soon Nan Xia found out why.

Because several of the clauses clearly targeted her.

Such as not being allowed into other rooms while treating Chenchen, not to covet the male owner, not to get close to the male owner under the pretext of treatment, and not to stay overnight in the room.

Nan Xia almost laughed out of anger: "I am a doctor, my duty is to treat Chenchen. What's the point of adding so many meaningless clauses to the contract?"

Pointing at some of the clauses, she found them ridiculous: "I've already said I have no interest in Mr. Feng. If you're so distrustful, you might as well not appear in the room; just let me and Chenchen be alone."

She would rather have Chenchen live with her at home. As for Feng Jingxuan, she didn't want to see him at all.

He Zheng looked embarrassed; he also thought Mr. Feng's actions were... overly narcissistic.

But these were Feng Jingxuan's orders, and he dared not defy them; he could only follow suit.

"Matilda, there are still some good points about the contract, like the salary," He Zheng coughed and said.

Unfortunately, Nan Xia didn't care about the salary at all.

Feng Jingxuan's expression was cold: "If you're not guilty, why won't you sign the contract?"

"What do I have to fear in signing?"

Nan Xia frowned, as if to prove her indifference to Feng Jingxuan, she promptly signed her name.

Feng Jingxuan's face remained stern as he walked away.

He Zheng hurriedly took the contract away: "Matilda, don't mind it, it's just that..."

There were too many women trying to get close to Mr. Feng.

Nan Xia waved her hand dismissively: "I don't mind; you should go back."

After He Zheng left, she closed her eyes, feeling completely drained.

Every interaction with Feng Jingxuan left her utterly exhausted.

Life is beautiful; it shouldn't be wasted like this.

One day, she would make Feng Jingxuan pay the price he deserves.

The next day.

Nan Xia sent the two little babies to Sunshine Kindergarten. Seeing their obedient silhouettes with tiny backpacks, her heart melted.

After all this, she was going to check on Little First's condition.

However, just as she emerged from the elevator, she saw a tall woman.

"Yechen, have you finished the homework I assigned? Why are you playing outside alone again?"

The woman slightly turned, and at that moment, Nan Xia saw her face clearly.

Song Yushang.

She stood in seven-centimeter heels, bright red lips, her hair tied up revealing a charming face, and adorned in branded clothes from head to toe, looking very "expensive".

Her being here was actually quite normal; the two of them might as well have been living together for some time.

Little First, hearing this, did not respond. Wearing a mask, he moved towards the next room with small steps.

A flicker of dissatisfaction crossed Song Yushang's eyes as she rudely pulled Little First towards her, removing his mask: "Yechen, your aunt is talking to you, didn't you hear? You have leukemia, not deaf ears. Don't you have any basic manners? Do you realize how serious your illness is, that you could die at any moment? You should just stay in your room and not cause trouble."

As she spoke, saliva flew from her mouth, her demeanor aggressive; any other child would probably have been scared to tears.

But Little First was unfazed, simply saying, "I want to go to auntie."

"What do you want! Get inside now. Do you want a beating again?" Song Yushang disregarded his wishes and twisted him around.

The bodyguards around acted as if they saw nothing, completely indifferent, even Little First didn't seem to think there was anything wrong.

He was a leukemia patient; the education he received since childhood was different. He had no friends, no teachers to instill correct concepts; in his little life, he had very little.

Song Yushang was daddy's girlfriend, also his home tutor, and he would be punished by her if he didn't complete his homework. Hence, whenever he was disciplined by Song Yushang, he thought it was normal.

"Hand it over," commanded Song Yushang, and she began to strike Little First's palm harshly.

Nan Xia saw his palm reddening from the blows.

Was this cruel woman treating her son like this all these years?

Nan Xia's eyes reddened, bloodshot with fury; she had never been so angry, not even when thrown into the sea by this wretched couple.

That was a child!

How dare Song Yushang?

Nan Xia rushed over, hugging Little First in her arms, carefully putting his mask back on.

Then she yelled furiously: "Have you gone mad? Who gave you the audacity to treat Chenchen like this!"
