My Comatose Husband Divorced Me After Waking Up

Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Birthmark, It's Actually Real

The room next door.

Nan Xia rubbed her forehead, feeling somewhat inexplicably headachy.

She had returned to cook the children's favorite meals, yet she had barely eaten herself, seemingly preoccupied.

When noon came, Tang Ning called her: "Sunshine Kindergarten has agreed to enroll Sweetie Yin and Sweetie Yu. They can go register tomorrow."

Nan Xia nodded her head: "Thank you."

Tang Ning: "What's our relationship? There's no need for thanks."

After giving it some thought, Nan Xia found that to be true, and readily accepted it.

Her relationship with Tang Ning was no ordinary one since they shared a life-and-death bond. She had complete trust in the kindergarten Tang Ning had arranged for the babies.

When they were in country A, both babies had already begun attending kindergarten. It was only due to her return to China that their schooling had to be interrupted, so now that things were settled, of course they needed to continue kindergarten.

Not long after the three of them finished their meal, the doorbell rang outside. Nan Xia paused and felt a surge of trepidation after clearly seeing the man through the peephole.

She whispered: "You two go back to your room first."

The two little ones exchanged glances and obediently went back to their room.

Nan Xia opened the door to find Feng Jingxuan standing rigidly on the doorstep, expressionless, exuding an arrogant aura from his poised stance.

"Mr. Feng, what brings you here?" After their brief interactions before, Nan Xia could confront him with some composure.

Feng Jingxuan looked at her with a profound gaze: "Matilda, there are things I wish to discuss with you in detail."

"I don't think there's anything we need to chat about."

Nan Xia was not friendly in her approach, her gaze resolute: "Mr. Feng, you seem to have many issues with me. When you speak to others, is it your habit to look down on them?"

"Do you know? Every year, the number of patients who wish to be treated by me could line up from A city to Yun City. They are willing to pay any price just for a chance to see me. However, my time and energy are limited, so I have to choose some with critical illnesses to treat."

Matilda excelled in medicine, particularly in leukemia, and was a rare talent in her field.

Initially, to treat his son, Feng Jingxuan also spent time searching for Matilda.

However, since this woman appeared, he had started to find her somewhat enigmatic.

Not only did this woman look very similar to Nan Xia, but she also seemed overly enthusiastic about him and Chenchen.

She was so eager it was like she had something to gain.

If she was not Matilda, Feng Jingxuan would have driven her out of Yun City just as he would with any other woman trying to get close to him.

But not now, since Chenchen needed her badly.

Feng Jingxuan slightly lowered his head; his soft hair swayed gently, his voice as cold as ice: "Matilda, I hope you will take good care of Chenchen during this period and fulfill your duties as a family doctor. Keep to your place."

He emphatically stressed the last two words.

If he found out Nan Xia dared to take advantage of Chenchen, he would make sure she regretted coming into this world.

Nan Xia was not worried about this point. Since Mr. Feng intended to treat Little First, he certainly wouldn't refuse to let her take care of him. However, the deep suspicion in his eyes was truly irritating.

"I thought Mr. Feng came to warn me to never approach your young master again?"

This woman was like a hedgehog, her words sharp and stinging.

Not only did she live next door to him, but as a doctor, she came over and cooked for Little First to curry favor with him, which was extremely suspicious.

A thin layer of ice covered Feng Jingxuan's eyes: "I want to talk to you about Chenchen's condition."

Nan Xia's expression grew solemn as she stepped aside to make room: "Come in and talk."

She didn't want to have much interaction with Feng Jingxuan today, but she couldn't ignore anything related to Little First's condition.

The room was tidily kept, and on the table in the living room were several photos.

In the photos was Nan Xia, with graduation pictures from the First Medical University of A city and pictures from her time in the A city museum.

The woman in the photos was vibrant and strikingly beautiful.

Feng Jingxuan couldn't help but draw closer; the more he looked at these photos, the more he felt they were completely different from Nan Xia.

In the photos He Zheng collected, Nan Xia was a demure and shy woman.

Nan Xia raised an eyebrow: "What is it? Mr. Feng, are you interested in my old pictures?"

Feng Jingxuan looked down at her with a gaze that conveyed her beauty; her high nose bridge and bright eyes suggested a hint of being mixed-race.

He turned his head to glance at Matilda's ear, which she was hiding with her long hair.

Nan Xia's ear had a birthmark shaped like a droplet.

It wasn't really a secret — the birthmark was visible in many of the photos He Zheng had gathered.

"I've heard you're from A country and have always lived there, so why suddenly come to Yun City?"

Nan Xia answered without hesitation: "My mother is from Yun City. She remarried here, and after her death, her last wish was that I'd come back to my homeland."

Feng Jingxuan narrowed his eyes; Nan Xia was lying.

She had responded instantly without hesitation, and that meant the answer was surely fabricated.

She must have anticipated someone would ask her this and rehearsed her answer many times over.

Feng Jingxuan let out a cold chuckle, his voice chilly: "Matilda, are you aware of the relationship between my ex-wife and me?"

Nan Xia's heart tightened, unsure about the mystery Feng Jingxuan was alluding to.

"When I married my ex-wife, it was arranged by our families, without any affection. I would have divorced her even if she hadn't met with an accident."

Nan Xia tasted blood in her mouth; after five years, this man was as ruthless as ever.

"I never had any feelings for her, and your attempts to imitate her are futile. The position of Young Madam of Feng Family is not one you can attain."

"Matilda, I've seen too many women like you, just pretending to be smart."

Images from five years ago flashed across Nan Xia's mind — Feng Jingxuan, lying in the hospital ward, telling her he wanted a divorce. She mocked: "So, Mr. Feng, is it women like Song Yushang that you prefer? But it seems your family might prefer your ex-wife."

She was mocking that pair.

Feng Jingxuan couldn't wait to be with Song Yushang, but as long as Old Mr. Feng did not recognize Song Yushang's status, she would remain a mistress.

The Feng Family was the top-tier elite, and without the approval of Old Mr. Feng, Song Yushang would have no way of marrying in.

"Is your aim to ingratiate yourself with Old Mr. Feng?" Anger flashed through Feng Jingxuan's eyes.

His anger was fearsome, like a tree shedding a layer of snow, the chill slowly spreading.

He closed in on Nan Xia and suddenly reached out to lift the hair at her jaw, his hot breath landing on Nan Xia's face.

In that moment, Nan Xia forgot to resist.

A red, droplet-shaped birthmark appeared on her ear.

Feng Jingxuan pinched the birthmark, which turned out to be real.

Nan Xia's body went rigid.
