My Cat Has Superpower?!

Chapter 11: Chapter 11 What the Hell Kind of Monster Is This

He arrived at Senior Class 5.

Lin Siyin settled into her seat and took advantage of her deskmate's inattention to pull out Lu Zixun.

To prevent him from causing a commotion, Lin Siyin had brought some cat mint.

Cat mint is something that no cat can resist.

Once a cat gets a taste, it can keep them quiet for a while.

Before class started, Lin Siyin had given Lu Zixun a couple of bites of cat mint and, once she was sure he was quiet, she relaxed and focused on the lecture.

However, Lu Zixun was no ordinary cat.

After eating the cat mint and waiting for the class bell to ring, he quietly glanced at Lin Siyin and then slipped off stealthily, quickly making his way outside the teaching building.

Admiring the beautiful private school, Lu Zixun tapped on the Language Translator inside the backpack.

"Language Translator, a Superpower tool, activates at the will of the Host, can translate different languages, and can also translate the language of beasts."

Can translate the language of beasts, does that mean I can talk now?

Lu Zixun's eyes lit up, eager to extract it.

After setting it up, Lu Zixun cleared his throat and excitedly said, "Sah fah, err sih cao neng lee meow."

Talking, I am a Superpower cat.

Huh??

What language is this?

"Zhong me fat shi, wei suh me err de fanyi ze muh boo biao zun."

What's going on, why is my translation so off?

Shoot, Lu Zixun instantly lost interest.

What kind of crap is this?

Lu Zixun turned off the Language Translator and happened to catch a glimpse of the girl who had provoked Lin Siyin at the school gate earlier that day.

"What are they sneaking around for? It's either treachery or theft. I'll follow and see, and maybe scare them a bit to earn some feeling value."

Thinking this, Lu Zixun quietly followed the direction Song Yanan was walking.

"Sister Nan, we're skipping class to come to this early-stage storage room for what?" the girl following Song Yanan asked, puzzled.

Song Yanan had her back to them.

On her pretty face, black lines bulged out like veins, surfacing on her skin.

"We'll go to class in a bit, but right now, I'm a little hungry," Song Yanan said dispassionately.

"Hungry, but we just ate," another girl replied.

"That's what you need to eat, not what I need to eat."

"What do you mean 'you and us,' Sister Nan, what are you talking about!"

Suddenly, Song Yanan turned around.

Her entire face was crammed with black worm-like antennae, and just above the Bai Hui acupoint, a mini-version of Song Yanan's face stared fixedly at the two girls, who were now petrified.

Immediately after, Song Yanan's face split open completely from the middle to her chin.

A mass of black antennae burst out, penetrating the mouths of the two girls.

The girls twitched violently, suspended in mid-air like fish caught on a hook.

Lu Zixun had just caught up and was shocked by this scene.

My god, is this an American post-apocalyptic sci-fi film?

In the storage room, with black tendrils running wild, the bodies of the two girls dangled in the air, pierced with holes all over by the tendrils, and blood pooled on the floor.

In the blink of an eye, the girls were drained of all substance, shriveled into two pieces of human skin.

"What in the world is this creature?"

Lu Zixun's heart pounded fiercely, "I had guessed this world wasn't simple, but this is way too damn complicated."

The mini face on Song Yanan's head noticed the Orange Cat at the door, showing a twisted smile, "And here's a little sweet treat that's come to me on its own."

Having said this, the black tendrils hurtled straight toward Lu Zixun.

"Damn it, throwing that at my face, I'll stab you to death with Xiao Li's Flying Knife," Lu Zixun quickly dodged the bloody tendrils and pulled out Xiao Li's Flying Knife from his backpack, swiftly severing several of the creature's tendrils.

"Ding, from the Blood Worm's anger value +300."

Lu Zixun was stunned.

So this creature is called the Blood Worm, but why can it act like a person?

At that thought, he slowed down just enough for one of the Blood Worm's tendrils to stab at his fur.

"Ding, Anger Value from the Blood Worm +300."

Lu Zixun looked down and saw that the tentacle had been bent.

"Song Yanan's" face twisted, as more tentacles madly rushed toward Lu Zixun, like a sky filled with dark water.

"Ding, Anger Value from the Blood Worm +100."

"Ding, Anger Value from the Blood Worm +100."

"Ding, Pain Value from the Blood Worm +200."

Lu Zixun was amused.

So this was how one used the Steel Body, tentacles jabbing at him as if they cost nothing. Moreover, simply standing still, he had harvested countless feeling values.

Suddenly, Lu Zixun's expression turned serious, he shouted angrily at the Blood Worm, "Let the tentacles come more fiercely!"

"Ding, Horror Value from the Blood Worm +400"

After the shout, Lu Zixun noticed that the Blood Worm in front of him seemed ready to escape.

"Song Yanan" looked at the Orange Cat at the door with a complex expression, took a deep breath, retracted all the tentacles, and reverted to a normal human appearance, "Since we're of the same kind, there's no need to be utterly ruthless, right?"

Lu Zixun was startled, the same kind? When had he ever been the same kind as a worm?

Song Yanan glanced at him and then turned to push open the window, making her escape.

Lu Zixun hastily chased after her but saw that Song Yanan had already reached the bottom of the building and was seen by a teacher patrolling the campus. The teacher took her away from the building.

It seemed impossible to chase her down now.

Lu ZiXun was full of doubts.

He looked at the almost dry blood on the ground, the two human skins, and the lingering smell of blood in the air. He decided to follow Song Yanan's lead and jump out the window.

It was better to leave quickly, as this place would surely be discovered sooner or later.

Crossing a lawn, it was now the end of class time, and some students had begun coming down from the building, carrying badminton rackets and enjoying a brief moment of fun.

Lu Zixun glanced at the window of Class 5, Grade 3, and cursed under his breath for having been out too long, forgetting that he should have stayed inside the drawer.

"I'll have to use my superpower." When Lu Zixun reappeared inside the drawer, Lin Siyin's seat was empty.

Where had she gone?

Could she have been looking for him?

Lu Zixun followed the scent all the way to the women's restroom at the end of the hallway.

Inside the restroom, there was not only the smell of Lin Siyin but also that of the monster.

Lu Zixun's heart clenched, suddenly remembering that the monster had indeed threatened to settle the scores with Lin Siyin at the school gate.

That is to say, it had already set its sights on Lin Siyin.

Inside, faint voices could be heard.

"Lin Siyin, right?"

"Mmm, what's up?"

"Don't miss the meeting at the alley opposite the school gate after school tonight."

"Why should I listen to you?"

"Heh, I heard that you've been living without your mother since you were young, just with your dad who is the principal of Yu Ren Middle School. If you don't show, I'll go troubleshoot with him."

"Song Yanan, don't go too far."

Lin Siyin's face flushed red as she tightly clenched her fists, holding back the urge to punch someone.

Song Yanan looked at her with disdain, lit a cigarette and acted like a tough, delinquent girl, "Yo, angry now? This is a school, do you dare to hit me?"

Lin Siyin took a deep breath and pushed Song Yanan away.

There was no point in tangling with a silly, big girl when her own Orange Cat was still missing. She would simply teach her a lesson tonight, to save herself from future trouble.

Lu Zixun, listening from the outside, heard everything clearly. Seeing Lin Siyin about to come out, he quickly ran off to avoid arousing suspicion.

Lin Siyin left the restroom with a slight frown, looking at her hand which showed no abnormality.

But when she had pushed Song Yanan, her hand had felt sticky, as if she had touched a slug.

Returning to the classroom, Lin Siyin was still worried about the safety of her Orange Cat.

She looked down, and to her surprise, it had already returned, curled up in a ball asleep inside the drawer.

It must have gone out to play, Lin Siyin thought to herself, feeling relieved.

Lu Zixun, squinting his eyes, was actually not asleep.

That girl named Song Yanan, who was clearly a creature covered in tentacles, why did she act no differently from an ordinary person in the restroom?

Could it be that she was a monster in human skin, hiding among the crowd?

Thinking of this, Lu Zixun's mind flashed back to that evening, when the mysterious creature – the Blood-colored Ghost – had appeared in Lin Siyin's living room.
