MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM

Chapter 144: First Contact

First Contact

"How many have we gathered thus far?" In a bland and almost dilapidated-looking control room for a flying vessel, Vazar could be seen looking on with a small smirk on his face.

His presence exuded pride and confidence as he had his chin resting on top of his palm while his free hand played with an ominous grey energy.

"20, my Scion." The handler, a sickly looking man answered dutifully and Vazar nodded with a hint of satisfaction.

"Even faster than just expected. At this rate, we'd have gathered most of what we needed by the time to reach the center, and that's not even talking about the number the others would have collected at that time. Very good." His tone was carefree, but instead of relaxing, the Handler and all the other workers in the room shuddered.

That's because their Scion, despite his confident appearance, had very fickle emotions, to the point that many of them assumed he had some sort of mental disorder.

So whenever he expressed one emotion, the chances were that he was going to express another emotion, usually negative, strongly in the next moment. Which usually resulted in one or some of them dying in a gruesome way.

Thankfully, the chances were in their favor as he didn't express anything besides his excitement.

'We've been preparing for this plan even before I was born. Nothing can go wrong.' He sighed.

If all went according to plan, the thin balance between the three clans would break, and that would begin in this Hidden realm. But why should he care? What if they antagonize the other clans? It wouldn't matter since the Corruptionists would grow explosively in power and no one would be able to stop them.

This would leave the rest of the clans with only two options, submit or die. Most would submit, and after the few that resisted died, the Corruptionists would consolidate their power and new resources to become a true hegemony of the universe.

Naturally, the plan was far more complex than that with many nuances that needed to be ironed out when the time came. But that was the gist of it.

But for all of it to become a reality, Vazar needed to succeed in his plan. The entire thing depended on his competence.

But he wasn't worried, he had been preparing for this as well, and he would make sure there wouldn't be any mishaps whatsoever. He had ways to counter that childish girl from the Domitor Clan and the destructive Starwalker. So even if they caught on to his plan, he would be able to suppress them, if not outright kill them.

He had no illusions of killing them. After all, they had been at each other's throats from day one, and they knew each other well enough despite being enemies. Vazar was confident that they knew he was planning something, and the chances were that at least one of them would attempt to tamper with the Cryo Cores they gave him to figure out what he planned to do with them. Something he had measures in place for.

As for killing them, as Constella mentioned previously, the same way they probably have their way of countering each other is the same way they have measures in place to defend themselves in case one of the others pulls something.

So Vazar wasn't naive enough to think anything he had on him currently could kill them. But the key was "currently". If the plan succeeded, he could kill them with minimal effort and virtually no consequences.

Just thinking about it made him giddy.

But despite his somewhat dismissive behavior, Vazar wasn't being complacent. Far from it, he was certain there would be difficulties while he carried out his plan. What mattered was if he was able to scale these difficulties to accomplish his goal.

'I can't wait.' He grinned slightly, which caused his subordinates to shudder once more.

"You are calling me because...?" Silver looked at the magic projection of Belladonna who was staring at him with a mischievous expression, which always unnerved the wolf.

"Oh nothing, I just wanted to ask how you were doing. This environment should be very conducive to you no?" She asked seemingly innocently, and Silver was confused.

Sure he could resist the cold just fine, but he wasn't an ice wolf, but a Lunar one.

"My Affinity is moon and light though..." He replied and Belladonna waved her hand.

"Bah! That may be the case, but you're still a wolf with thick fur meant to keep you warm in cold places. Besides, this realm is white, and you're a very bright shade of silver. That should mean something right?" Hearing this, Silver became even more confused.

"First of all, that's racist, and Secondly, what do you want?" He asked directly and the Vampire pouted cutely.

"Aw, can't I just check up on my junior?" She whined and Silver stared at her with a deadpan expression causing her to sigh.

"Fine fine. I wasn't ONLY calling to check up. There's some info." Her tone turned a little serious and Silver's ears twitched as he started paying attention properly.

"A scout from our Stronghold noticed a collection of ships heading in their direction. They also noticed a collection of ships heading in your direction as well as Thanatos' direction." Hearing this, Silver tilted his head a little.

"Oh, you mean those clan guys? Yeah, I know." He said simply and Belladonna expressed some surprise.

"Oh, you already knew... Ah, right, you and your obscene senses." She snickered a little.

"So have they reached your Stronghold yet? Did you deal with them already?" She asked and Silver paused for a moment.

"Well, no for the first question and yes for the second." As he said that, Silver made it so that Belladonna could see more than just his face, and she whistled slightly.

"Someone had some fun." She said lightly as she observed the carnage before her.

All around, there were massive craters and country-sized sheets of ice that had been overturned and shattered, at the same time, various pieces of scrap metal and mutilated corpses could be seen strewn about. None of the vessels looked like they were vessels currently.

"Did you at least give them a chance to surrender?" She asked and Silver nodded.

"I projected my voice with Mana to tell them to surrender, but they didn't care and opened fire. So I killed all of them." He said casually. Then he felt some movement beneath his foot and looked down.

"Oh yeah, I managed to capture one of them though." He said lightly and panned the camera down to show a being that looked like a red humanoid leaf, but it currently had no limbs and was spewing a blue liquid that seemed to be its blood.

"Say... isn't that thing at the Apex rank...?" Belladonna asked quietly.

"Yeah. It's not as impressive as you think. Turns out that thing with the passive barriers that Master told us about? Yeah, the strength varies. This one was very weak." Silver explained before gently pressing the thing down further with his foot.

"Anyway, I left it alive for questioning. But I don't know its language and we don't have a translator. So I'm still debating killing it or not." Hearing this, Belladonna said quickly.

"H-Hey! Just ask any of those Fate guys! They can translate just fine. Or better yet, take something from the armory, I remember Master talking about a universal translator or something similar." Hearing this, Silver nodded, but for some reason, he seemed a little... disappointed.

"Uh, what's up with that look?" Belladonna said warily but Silver just shook his head.

"You wouldn't... wait yes you would. In the same way, you can grow stronger by drinking the blood of powerful beings, beasts like me can grow stronger by devouring stronger beings. This guy is like a tonic for me if I eat him." He said sounding legitimate, but Belladonna turned disdainful.

"Greedy bastard! You can have all the tonics you need on Edenveil! We have an area dedicated to that!" She chided him and Silver looked at her with a straight face.

"A fly leg may be small, but it's still meat." He replied with a righteous tone and Belladonna just groaned.

"Ugh, whatever. That's all I wanted to tell you. Bye." And without wasting another second, she cut the connection.

Seeing this, Silver let out a relieved sigh. He found out that the best way to counter the Vampire's endless teasing was to exasperate her. Which wasn't hard, he just needed to be himself. According to Thanatos, he's denser than a brick. So when he noticed she wanted to tease him about something, he'd go to his default setting and just say what was on his mind without much thought, which seemed to get the job done most of the time.

As for how they were able to communicate so seamlessly in the hidden realm despite the other clans experiencing connection issues, that's because they used the Dimension as a bit of a connection point which both strengthened the connection as well as shortened the distance between each connection point, making messages incredibly fast.

"Well, now that that's done, we should probably start preparing for a worse attack later," Silver mumbled as he left the scene of carnage behind. Surely, his actions, as well as the soon-to-be actions of his companions, would draw lots of attention to the strongholds, and things would become significantly difficult at that time.

But that was fine. They needed the pressure.
