Mountain Sitting Immortal

Chapter 193: Lack Of Taste.

The rituals in the technique don't need him to understand or comprehend them. The rituals are more like steps he has to go through to become familiar with weapons. What he understands are weapons, not the rituals themselves.

This has made the technique very difficult to comprehend. But it has also made him proud of the progress he has made. Even though he made significant progress in the amount of karma he earned these two years, he is not as proud of that as he is of his progress in the unification of heart, mind, and body technique.

He looked at the amount of karma he has earned and said, "250 million karma over 1 billion karma. So I've made a progress of 25% in 4 years."

The amount of karma he earned increased from 47 million to 51 million a year ago and then increased again to 54 million this year. It was because the number of students in his dojo had increased in size.

So the amount of Karma that he earned in two years was 105 million, not 94 million if he had earned 47 million per year. It made him estimate that he wouldn't need to spend the 18 years he initially expected to spend in order to reach level 4.

He thought to himself, "If my dojo continues to increase in size like this, then I might spend 12 years or less to reach level 4. Unfortunately, I have to give it up in order to go to the sect."

His dojo is just one of the many things he has to give up now. He has to give up distributing bread, and he has to give up his house and his business.

He said with melancholy, "At least, I don't have to give up Roar. I still have my good boy."

He looked around his room one last time before stepping out of it. Then he walked out of his house.

Roar was already waiting for him outside his house. The golden dog had become as tall as him. Even giant horses will only be able to barely match Roar in size.

Despite his formidable size, Roar still stepped back in fear when he saw the strange white monster with claws appear in front of him.

Arthur was displeased when he saw this. He asked Roar, "Do I look that bad? Or do you just lack taste?"

It was after Roar smelled Arthur's scent and heard Arthur's voice that he calmed down. He came up to Arthur excitedly and leaked his wrapped up face.

His behavior made Arthur forgive him. He said, "I can't be mad at you, buddy. Besides, you're a dog. It is normal that you don't appreciate human aesthetics."

Roar lay down on the ground as if in agreement. So he patted Roar's saddle and said, "Good boy."

Roar was equipped with a saddle. His maids had just put it on him after combing his fur.

He didn't pat Roar directly, or he would injure him. But the saddle was food enough for Roar. He roared and wagged his tail in excitement.

Arthur climbed on top of the saddle, grabbed the handle on it, and said, "Let's go, buddy. Let's go to mother."

Roar barked loudly and took off. He was very fast. They reached the gate of their compound, which was 50 meters away, in three seconds. That was only because Roar was still accelerating.

When they reached the gate, Roar didn't stop for it to open. He simply jumped over it with Arthur on his back. Then he took off in the direction of the Dyson family.

Arthur was having a nice time atop his dog. He felt that it wasn't a waste that he had fed Roar with a lot of food.

Roar has reached the ninth transformation of the first mortal coil now. He has the potential to reach the second mortal coil, but it will take some time, and he will need a lot of help.

Most of the time will be spent on Roar trying to reach the tenth transformation. If he doesn't reach the tenth transformation, then he will remain stuck at the first mortal coil forever.

As long as Roar can reach the tenth transformation, Arthur can help it reach the second mortal coil. He is looking forward to that day.

One thing he is not looking forward to is returning to Agate City. He hopes to succeed in the regional sect examination. If he does succeed, he doesn't plan to return here. So this might be his last time in this city.

He said to Roar, "It is just you and me, buddy."

Roar barked in agreement and continued to bound across the street. The wind caused by Roar's speed made Arthur's red robe spread out and flap behind him.

It was early in the morning. The time is just 7 am. This is usually the time he goes around to buy bread for distribution. But he is not doing so today.

There will be people expecting him to distribute bread this morning because they don't know that he is leaving, but he already canceled his contracts with bakeries, and he told his students that he would be gone for a long time.

He thought about how emotional they were when he informed them of his intention to participate in the next regional sect examination.

Then he chuckled and said, "I'm sure they will miss me. Who else is gullible enough to teach mana techniques for free?"

He shook his head and laughed. It was an attempt to forget the pain of leaving his karma leaks behind.

The truth is that he too will miss them. To be more accurate, he will miss the karma he earns from them, and he will miss using them to hunt for him.

As he was thinking about this, he reached the outskirts of the city and reached the road that led to the Dyson family. But the road ahead of him was blocked by a crowd of people.
