Not only are the defensive capabilities of the second skin top-notch, but it is also very light. It is almost as if he isn't wearing anything.

But if there is one problem he can have with it, it is that he has to be baked to use it. The second skin has to be on top of his own skin.

However, he doesn't hate this arrangement because the second skin keeps him cool. The second skin is metallic, so having it close to his skin means he won't sweat like he used to do with his black plate armor.

Besides, there is nothing that prevents him from wearing some clothes on top of the second skin. He can even put on a plate armor if he wants.

He didn't put on another layer of armor, though. He just wore one robe.

The robe was large, soft, and red. It matched his red hair, so he picked it. He didn't wear anything else because they won't matter or offer any more protection.

The next thing he did was to put the golden giant bow and its quiver of arrows on his back. The bow was two-thirds of his height, and his height is 2.2 meters. So he is 7 feet 2.6 inches tall, while the giant bow is 4 feet 9.87 inches in height.

The bow is taller than many humans, and it is heavier than many humans too. It is approximately 100 kilograms. The weight of the bow made him understand why someone would use it as a club.

After he was done arranging the golden bow, he put on the two gauntlets. From the outside, they looked like claws made of sharp blades welded together. Even if he didn't do anything and just threw the gauntlets at people, the gauntlets would injure people on contact.

There were barbs, blades, and thorns on the gauntlet. But inside of it, his hands felt the soft smoothness of some type of high-quality leather.

There was no discomfort at all. There were mechanisms installed into the gauntlets that made them expand and shrink at the joints to fit his hands perfectly. It was as if they were tailor-made for his hands.

If he closed his eyes, the sensation he would receive from his hands would make him believe that he was wearing some high-quality gloves. But he had seen the gauntlets before, so he couldn't be fooled.

He also didn't let the gauntlet touch his robes because all they needed to tear a hole in it was the slightest friction. They were that dangerous.

Only other extraordinary artifacts like his bow, quiver, and second skin were safe from it. That is as long as he doesn't intend to cut them.

If he intends to harm them and he uses his full strength to do so, then only the bow and quiver won't be scratched at all. His second skin won't be that lucky.

He smiled to himself as he examined his hands, "These two bad boys were very expensive. But they were worth it."

This was all the preparation he needed to do. He didn't need to wear any sandals or shoes because they couldn't protect his feet at all, and it would hinder him from reaching his full speed.

So his feet were bare. He liked it that way. It made him feel as if his feet were free.

The last thing he did was to check his system.

He has made a lot of progress in the last two years of preparations. Most of the progress is in the techniques he studied and in the amount of karma that he had earned.

He is most proud of the progress he made in the techniques he had studied. Unlike the previous techniques he mastered, these three techniques were rank 2.

The rank 2 techniques were for second mortal coil cultivators. So they were very difficult for him to make progress in.

In fact, for two of them who need force, he won't be able to go past 10% mastery. These two techniques are the Chasing Wind palm technique and the Five Stars claw technique. He had to stop comprehending them when he reached 10% mastery, or he would be wasting his time.

As for the Unification of Hearts, Mind, and Body weapon technique, it is a universal weapon technique. It is what he spent most of the time comprehending after he got stuck in the other two techniques.

He initially got the universal weapon technique for his bow, but it can be used with any weapon. Its only function is to increase compatibility with various weapons and make controlling weapons as easy as controlling his body.

The unification of heart, mind, and body technique can be used with any weapon, which is why it was three times as expensive as the other two techniques. It would also explain why he only made a progress of 6% on it despite spending most of the two years on it.

6% mastery is very low, but it is indeed useful. It has made him become more familiar with his weapons and armor. He understands instinctively how different weapons can be used.

The problem with it is that he needs to use different types of weapons in order to learn it. He has to go through a series of rituals, which include sleeping with a weapon many times, and do this for various types of weapons before he can master the technique.
