When everyone heard this, they glanced at Mononoma Neito.

"Now that you say it, don't get beaten down when you go on stage! You won't want to be embarrassed," a Class B student joked.

"Who are you looking down on? I'll just use my Quirks to copy his! I don't know who will lose and who will win," Mononoma Neito retorted.

Kendou Kazuka gave him an exasperated look before speaking in a deep voice, "Bakugo Katsuki is not as strong as Akira, that's for sure. But even if he isn't as strong as Akira, it doesn't mean his strength is weak."

"Don't be too confident, or you might end up getting surprised," Kendou added, her tone cautious.

Mononoma Neito smiled and explained, "You only saw Bakugo Katsuki getting bullied when he teamed up with Akira. But when Bakugo was on his own, I managed to snatch his lifeline."

"Really?" Kendou Kazuka responded. "You might have gotten lucky and taken points from him, but this time it's a 1v1, not a team battle."

Mononoma Neito shrugged. "How can it be just luck? I won it by strength."

"Okay, okay. In short, just one sentence: Don't be careless," Kendou Kazuka said, rolling her eyes as she muttered to herself.

The sports festival wasn't just attended by students, but also by many professional Heroes. Their purpose was simple—to spot students they'd like to have as assistants.

"You guys can forget about having Akira as your assistant. You'll need to get past All Might's ten meters first. After all, he's All Might's apprentice," one professional Hero joked.

"Just give up," another retorted. "You're not even close."

"I was just kidding! I've always been a fan of All Might. Not long ago, we worked together to catch a wanted criminal," another Hero said with a smile.

"Ha! Why not join forces? You can't beat me, and then All Might will come to save you," another professional Hero added, laughing.

"Enough nonsense," another Hero said firmly.

Meanwhile, Akira, after winning his battle, didn't return to his class' stands but instead headed toward the lounge.

The reason was simple—he found the next battle uninteresting, but the one after that promised to be more entertaining.

"Bakugo vs. Mononoma Neito!" Akira muttered, sighing. "What kind of luck does Bakugo have? He really hit the jackpot. Seems like it's a blessing he's accumulated from his previous life."

However, to his surprise, Akira saw Endeavor waiting near the passage that led to the lounge.

Akira pretended not to notice and walked straight toward the lounge.

"Akira?"

Suddenly, Endeavor spoke up.

Akira stopped and turned around.

"Is something wrong, Mr. Endeavor?"

Akira's expression remained calm, showing none of the unease that others might feel when talking to Endeavor.

"Haha!" Endeavor sneered. "As expected of All Might's apprentice, your performance really surprised me."

"Mr. Endeavor is joking. How could my skills be considered serious on such a stage?" Akira said calmly.

"If I remember correctly, All Might doesn't have an office. How about you? Are you interested in working in my office in the future? You and Shoto Todoroki are classmates, so you'd have a companion!" Endeavor got straight to the point.

"An office?" Akira smiled slightly. "Thank you for the offer, but I have my own plans for my future."

"You don't need to answer me so quickly. Aren't you and Shoto Todoroki going to country M as exchange students? It won't be too late for you to decide after you come back," Endeavor said slowly.

Akira paused for a moment before responding, "Alright. If there's nothing else, I'll be going now."

Endeavor nodded, and Akira turned to walk toward the lounge.

Once Akira had disappeared from Endeavor's sight, Endeavor clenched his fist tightly.

"All Might, I will never allow such a thing to happen!"

Clearly, Endeavor was referring to surpassing All Might and ensuring his son didn't overshadow All Might's apprentice.

Little did Endeavor know, though, that in the future, being the second-best would become something to be proud of.
