LGHTNOVELBOOK Chapter 7: Meet Majistra
Gloom shifted her gaze from the orange haired guy and Shimmer a few times, "You know this guy?" She asked in surprise, causing Shimmer to sigh, "That's Cardin Winchester, you got RWBY here in the form of a novel or something?" She asked, "We have it, but it's a manga." Gloom corrected, now remembering seeing the guy from an issue she read.
Having cleared that up, they went up to Cardin so they could deal with him, "Wait you don't think he's the guy do you?" Shimmer questioned, the thought flashing through her head, "He doesn't even have white hair." Gloom responded sounding annoyed at Shimmer's assumption.
"Hey Car-bitch." Gloom called out, getting his attention, "Why are you interrupting me?" Cardin questioned in annoyance, "Well for starters." Gloom said as she grabbed him by the collar and slammed him head first into the ground, making a crack in both the concrete and his head.
Everyone blinked at what just happened as Gloom handed Cardin to Shimmer, "Remnant is in that direction, blast him over." She instructed her junior and stood back, "Oookay?" Shimmer responded confused, but then drew power from her vision and tossed Caridin in the air and blasted him with a ton of force, making him fly away.
Looking at the bully get farther, Shimmer leaned over to Gloom a bit, "Think he'll land in the ocean and drown?" She asked, sounding a bit giggly, "The tragectory is aimed too high to reach Remnant, so probably." Gloom confirmed with a smile of her own, "But I think now the impostor won't show up now that we did this." She added, displeased with how it went, "Yeah... It was still nice though!" Shimmer exclaimed, with a smile.
Gloom let out a slight chuckle while ruffling Shimmer's hair, "You're not bad company." The Senior complimented, "Hey you still acted like dating me would suck!" Shimmer reminded with a sly smirk, "I explained the reason and it's not that!" Gloom rebutted playfully, "So about the case, we should come back tomorrow." She suggested, giving her neck a crack.
Shimmer nodded at her senior and got ready to teleport back to Mondstadt, but instead got interrupted by none other than Ningguang bumping into her and absent mindedly walking away, "Hey..." Shimmer let out in confusion, "That's not like the Geo Archon I know." Gloom commented, realizing that this was the impostor.
"Are you sure?" Shimmer asked, tiltingher head at the supposed impostor, "Well, if it is, they're doing a great job." Gloom said with a shrug as they both went to stand in front of this Ningguang, but to their surprise, this one looked a bit uncanny, "Can I help you with something?" The now clear as day impostor asked with a voice that's a mix between Ningguang's and something ethereal.
The two Harbringers narrowed their eyes, causing the faker to laugh outloud and float up a bit while twirling in a cirling, her form visibly shifting until she stopped twirling, giving a clear view of her dusty white hair with cat ears, yellow eyes with slitted pupils, and wearing a few tattered cloths that made up a robe, "Should have known you'd figure me out." The unknown girl said with unmasked mirth.
With an up and down look, Shimmer quickly realized that she never even heard of this person in front of her, "Who are you?" She asked in confusion, "Hehe~! The name's Majistra, Shimmer!" The girl introduced herself, while giving both Gloom and Shimmer a shock, "Even with as many travelers and bards as there are in Teyvat, word of a new person's name shouldn't spread this quickly." Gloom pointed out with a cold tone.
"Yeah I guess that's true, but then again, I am the Absolute." Majistra criptically said, still with that annoying mirth, "What does that mean?" Shimmer questioned, ready to act in case necessary, but she didn't have the time to as Majistra snapped her fingers and the world flipped upside down causing everyone around to fall to the sky, but then it flipped upright again, making everyone fall to the ground.
Now that the world wasn't confusing, Gloom conjured her scythe on her back and immediately went for Majistra's throat, but found herself passing right through, "The hell!?" Gloom and Shimmer said at the same time, surprised by that happening, "Oh so that's how you treat the one who gave you all of this?" Majistra questioned souding angry as she highlighted literally everything and everyone around.
As everything stopped being highlithed, Majistra began laughing, "I'm kidding! I forgive you!" She said sounding jovial at almost being decapitated, "You're clearly not a normal person, nor a God." Gloom deduced, "Well what the fuck is she then!?" Shimmer demanded in aggravation, "Meh! You're welcome anyway! Bye!" Majistra waved before disappearing and space seemed to fill up where she just was.
"...We need to report this immediately." Gloom pointed out, "Obviously!" Shimmer responded in a tone that seemed to mean 'You think!?', and they both teleported to Snezhnaya.
