Marvel's Black Steel

Chapter 213: Chapter 211: Having Fun

"So you're participating in underground wrestling matches to earn money? Why don't you just get a normal job? At least you won't have to worry so much about getting scammed out of your money." Remarked Tut lightly as he glanced at Peter while they stood atop the roof of a skyscraper.

"Because we're too far behind on our bills. A normal job won't give me money quickly enough to pay off our bills in time." Replied Peter softly with a sigh as he sat on the roof's edge while glancing down at the bustling night life of New York.

"Understandable. But if you're really in need of money, my Mom-" Said Tut calmly as he turned and glanced at Peter, who slammed his fist onto the roof, causing it to crack while he shook his head.

"No! I know you mean good Pharaoh, but don't you know how pathetic it feels to constantly rely on Mrs. Kent? I greatly appreciate everything she's done, but I hate it when she helps me…" Remarked Peter angrily as he threw his mask off the building while tightly gripping the stone edges.

"... I feel like the same weak, scrawny child from years ago. I'm not him. Alright, Pharaoh? I'm 16, I'm turning into a man, and a man can't rely on others constantly." Added Peter firmly as he turned and glanced at Pharaoh, who was now standing to his right.

"Well, I guess you make a point… I, too, wouldn't feel comfortable if Aunt May was always helping me." Muttered Tut lightly as he plopped onto the ground beside Peter while nodding in agreement, only to toss his mask into his face.

"But to be fair, you're still pretty scrawny and weak, so not much has changed." Added Tut with a smirk as he forcefully wrapped his arm around Peter, who rolled his eyes and tried to free himself, to no avail.

"Tsk, I can't even argue that when facing you. Even after whatever happened to me, you still feel like the same immovable mountain as before." Muttered Peter in slight annoyance as he pushed against Tut with all his strength, yet he didn't so much as budge, causing him to slump in defeat.

"Hahaha, if it makes you feel better, Peter, almost everyone I know is too weak for me to be able to spot the difference. Only two people have ever made me bleed, Apocalypse and Carol or Captain Marvel." Remarked Tut with a faint smirk as he released Peter, who quickly distanced himself with an annoyed look only to suddenly look at him with a curious expression.

"I've been wanting to ask, Pharaoh. But isn't it hard living like this? With these kinds of powers." Asked Peter softly as he glanced at Tut before looking at his clenched fist solemnly.

"Hmm, what do you mean?" "Ever since I got these powers, I've had to consciously restrain myself; it's been mentally taxing. Yet, when I think how you've been doing this, well, your whole life with strength far greater than mine, it leaves me in awe." Remarked Tut and Peter, respectively, as the former raised an eyebrow while the latter turned and glanced at him, who shrugged his shoulders before lying down.

"Heh, you'll make a nigga blush if you speak like that." Said Tut with a smirk as he playfully pushed Peter, who rolled his eyes before groaning.

"Nah, though seriously, I've been like this my whole life, and you've only been like for what, a week? I've had far longer to master my control; it's gotten to the point where I don't even really know what my 'true' strength is. Even during my battle with Apocalypse, I hadn't been able to let loose, though I'm pretty confident it wouldn't have changed anything." Stated Tut seriously as he stared into the starry sky before glancing at Peter, who plopped onto the ground beside him.

"Huh, is that so… You'll have to tell me about this Apocalypse guy; I felt the trembling from overhear, so it must've been some crazy powerful dude." "Heh, yeah, that's putting it lightly. He's the strongest person I've ever encountered." Remarked Peter and Tut, respectively, as the latter nodded with a wry expression, only for the former to curiously tilt his head.

"Speaking of that, how did you beat him in the first place?" Asked Peter with a curious expression as he glanced at Tut, who let out a laugh before sitting upright.

"I didn't do shit, it was all Jean. She burnt that man into nothingness." Replied Tut with a faint smirk as he stood up, only for his expression to worsen at the mention of Jean.

"Jean? Really? I wasn't expecting that. Hmm, did you tell her about you and Sara?" Asked Peter with a surprised expression as he looked at Tut, who groaned in annoyance while slowly floating into the air.

"Ugh, don't even remind me. Anyways, I'll see ya later." Said Tut as he rubbed his face while flying off into the night sky, causing Peter's expression to twitch in annoyance.

"This mother–" Muttered Peter softly as he stood up and donned his mask before scaling down the side of the building.

Lifting literal tonnes of debris, I silently winced when I spotted the crushed car underneath the destroyed house; setting the debris off to the side, I removed the car and set it down next to an older man.

"Well, it's not completely broken… We wouldn't have found it if the alarm didn't work." Remarked Tut with an optimistic smile as he glanced at the older man, who taped his key fob, causing the crushed car to loudly blare its alarm.

"Haa, thank you, Blacksteel." Said the older man with a forced yet genuine smile as he glanced at Tut, who wryly smiled in response before taking the debris and flying away.

'Well, that could've been less awkward.' Though Tut with a wry expression as he slowly flew through the air above Cairo.

It's been a little over a week since our fight with Apocalypse, and I've spent most of it in Eygpt, assisting Shield and its people with rebuilding Cairo, and the progress has been utterly fantastic. I did all the heavy lifting while everyone else focused on the smaller stuff, which would only be possible after cleaning up the debris that littered the city.

Reaching the city's edge, I dropped the debris I was carrying into the pile I had created over the week, which had grown considerably fast and really let someone understand how much damage the city sustained.

However, while I've probably saved more than a year of effort, rebuilding the city would still take a long time. Until then, thousands were out of homes and forced to migrate to nearby cities. I could help with many things, but I was left helpless with this; after all, as annoying as it was, I could only do so much.

"Maybe I could ask Stark? This is a situation where money would do better than strength." Muttered Tut with a thoughtful expression as he rubbed his chin while looking in the distance, eyeing the closest city.

While pondering what to do, I spent the rest of the day cleaning up the last tidbits of the debris before taking my leave for the day. I would probably return a few more times, but there wasn't much left for me to do, and I'd probably just get in people's way if I tried to stay and help.

However, while flying through the sky, a rainbow of colorful light suddenly slammed into me, sending me into outer space, though I managed to stop before I left Earth's atmosphere.

"Ugh, that's one hell of a way to greet someone after a week, Carol." Muttered Tut with a slightly painful expression as he rubbed his chest while glancing at Carol, who floated in the air opposite of him while surrounded by an aura of various colors.

"That's what you deserve for only visiting me once. What kind of friend does that?" Remarked Carol with a playful smirk as she glanced at Tut before pushing him away, causing him to roll his eyes while pointing down to Eygpt.

"I was helping the people of Egypt. Also, I could hear you the entire time and knew better than to interrupt your… Private Sessions." Replied Tut lightly as he rolled his eyes, folded his arms, and eyed Carol, who faintly blushed at his words while averting her gaze.

"I couldn't restrain myself once I got my arms working. Besides, there was nothing else better to do when you're confined to a bed, and no one visits you." "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, you horny woman; I suppose we've got more in common than we thought." Remarked Carol and Tut, respectively, as the former narrowed her eyes at the latter, who nodded with a faint smirk, causing her to scoff.

"Tsk, whatever, I didn't come here to talk about my sexual appetite. I came here to have fun; I've been bound to that bed for a week straight and needed some fun." Said Carol with a click of her tongue as she shook her head and eyed Tut, who smirked with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, lucky you, it's really early in New York, so I'm free right now. What did you have in mind?" Asked Tut with a curious expression as he glanced at Carol, who suddenly flashed in front of him while pinching his nose.

"Catch me." Said Carol with a smirk as she winked at Tut before shooting off into the sky, swiftly flying through the darkness of outer-space while leaving behind a trail of colorful lights.

Rolling my eyes, I softly sighed, preparing for the mocking that would inevitably come before I shot off after Carol; I was fast, but she was faster.

'C'mon, at least give her a challenge.' Thought Tut with a determined expression as he followed behind Carol.
