Chapter 226: Chapter 226
"What's going on? Another superhuman? And they can fly too!"
Bruce couldn't help but exclaim in shock.
This was the third superhuman he had encountered in just one day! Was the world suddenly filled with them?
"Alfred, did you see that? Can the radar track that person?"
Bruce immediately contacted Alfred.
"Sir, it's too late. The radar couldn't track anything. That person was moving too fast!"
Alfred replied.
Bruce sighed in disappointment but then shook his head helplessly.
This was all too sudden; he was completely unprepared.
"This won't do. I need to prepare equipment that can record everything at all times to avoid this kind of situation in the future!"
Bruce quickly devised ways to improve his gear.
Without further delay, he jumped out of the aircraft, fully aware of the mission he came here to accomplish.
At the same time, he deactivated the Yellow Lantern jet, turning it into countless streams of light that were reabsorbed into his Yellow Lantern ring.
Everyone watching the live feed began to comment.
Diana: "Another superhuman? Today's really been something."
Nick Fury: "You have so many superhumans over there, not to mention non-human species. They must be monitored; otherwise, things could get messy if they cause trouble!"
Loki: "Foolish humans. Do you think you can monitor beings stronger than you?"
Sengoku: "No! He's right. If we encounter someone powerful, we need to observe them closely. Otherwise, it'll be a disaster if they become enemies!"
Aiakos: "Powerful? Don't make me laugh. What's so powerful about just being able to fly?"
Naruto: "Just fly? Are you guys like the Dragon Ball universe, where everyone can fly?"
Minos: "Only a few people can, really."
Tony Stark: "The DC universe seems chaotic. Three superhumans in one day, and one isn't even human. Your world seems complicated. Mine is better—no superhumans here."
As Tony spoke, he suddenly thought about the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj and the Asgardians.
This realization made his expression turn sour, as though he had just contradicted himself.
"Fury, is it possible that we have superhumans on our Earth too? Excluding those sorcerers and aliens."
Tony asked, now slightly worried.
"As far as I know, yes. But most of them have abilities that aren't particularly useful. I once met someone truly impressive who flew out into space and dismantled a spaceship like it was a toy."
Fury responded matter-of-factly.
"Hey, that last part sounds way too exaggerated."
Steve Rogers replied skeptically.
"Believe it or not, it's up to you."
Fury's indifferent demeanor left everyone unsure whether he was being truthful.
Meanwhile, in the DC Universe, Iceland.
Bruce landed and immediately transformed into the Dark Knight, equipping his weapons as he scanned the surroundings.
In the blinding white landscape, finding someone buried in snow was no easy task.
Fortunately, he had the Yellow Lantern ring.
The ring's life detection function helped Bruce locate Arthur buried under the snow.
"Hey, are you okay?"
Bruce patted Arthur's face to wake him.
"Ah!"
Arthur opened his eyes and saw someone dressed like a medieval knight. Startled, he immediately pushed the figure away and backed off.
"You've changed your look!"
Arthur pointed at Bruce, mistaking him for the Snow King.
"Wait, calm down. I'm not the Snow King. I'm here to help."
Bruce quickly explained.
"Ahhh!"
BOOM!
Suddenly, the snow nearby erupted in an explosion, accompanied by an enraged roar.
The Snow King emerged, bellowing like a giant gorilla.
"Who dares disturb me? Who caused that shockwave earlier?"
The Snow King roared angrily, his hunting repeatedly interrupted.
"Hey, Snow King."
Bruce called out to the Snow King.
The Snow King turned toward him, only to see a glowing yellow light. The Yellow Lantern light enveloped the Snow King, forming a tangible cage.
"What is this? Who trapped me?"
The Snow King shouted in surprise and immediately began attacking the cage's walls.
No matter how much force he used, the cage didn't budge.
"Save your strength. This ring's constructs can't be broken with brute force alone."
Bruce observed the situation inside the cage through his ring-generated screen.
After speaking, he activated the ring's power.
In the next moment, the gravity inside the cage increased significantly, pinning the Snow King to the ground.
Bruce then shrank the cage until it fit snugly around the Snow King, leaving no room for resistance.
"Let me out, you bastard! Don't let me find out who you are, or I'll make you wish you were never born!"
The Snow King raged, unable to comprehend how he had been captured.
"Sorry, but you'll be staying in there for the rest of your life."
Bruce replied coldly.
"What did you do? Is this magic? Are you even human?"
Arthur, stunned by what he had witnessed, stepped forward to ask while cautiously touching the Yellow Lantern cage.
To his surprise, it wasn't hot, nor did it emit any electricity.
"I'm human, just wearing armor that surpasses modern technology."
Bruce replied, extending his hand toward Arthur.
"Bruce, may I ask your name?"
"Arthur Curry. Wait a minute—Bruce? Are you the famous billionaire from Gotham? Why are you here?"
Arthur asked, puzzled.
"I came for this Snow King."
Bruce replied earnestly.
"Ah, wait. I heard Gotham has a clown dressed like a bat who claims to be Batman, fighting crime."
Arthur interrupted Bruce, glancing him over.
"Your armor's helmet looks a bit like a bat. Don't tell me that circus clown is you!"
Arthur exclaimed in shock, pointing at Bruce.
The air grew still. Even with the Snow King roaring in anger and the howling wind, the atmosphere felt eerily quiet.
"I am Batman, not a clown."
Bruce replied, exasperated.
"But I've seen pictures. Batman doesn't look like you."
