Marvel: AS A PRINCE IN ASGARD

Chapter 25: CHAPTER 25

The Andromeda Galaxy had spiraled into chaos following the collapse of the Skrull Empire.

For countless millennia, the Skrulls had maintained vast dominion over this sector of the universe. Their war against the Kree Empire had lasted eons, a bitter conflict that only recently saw its conclusion with the Skrulls' utter destruction. However, while dismantling an empire was one thing, consolidating control over its former territory was another.

The Kree, now burdened with hunting down scattered Skrull remnants to prevent their resurgence, found themselves stretched thin. The once-mighty Skrull Empire had become a feast for opportunists, a power vacuum too vast to ignore.

Pirates, warlords, and black-market syndicates flooded the abandoned systems like scavengers descending upon a dying beast. Among them were the Badoon, the Chitauri, and the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, each eyeing pieces of the fallen empire. Marauders, Ravagers, and cosmic slavers roamed unchecked, plundering entire planets.

For them, this lawless paradise would endure until the major galactic factions could fully absorb the Skrull territories—a process that could take centuries.

Angel Star: The Rise of a New Dominion

On Angel Star, the remnants of old Skrull architecture had long since been torn down, replaced with a resplendent Celestial Palace fit for divine rule.

Floating islands of marble and gold encircled the palace, their surfaces adorned with towering statues and sprawling gardens. Ethereal Angels, clad in radiant battle armor, soared gracefully through the sky, their wings leaving shimmering trails in their wake.

It had been three years since Ragna arrived on Angel Star. In that time, under his divine guidance, his Angel Legions had become the most disciplined and efficient force in the galaxy—and the most relentless builders.

The Angels insisted that their Supreme Creator deserved a capital befitting his divine status. Ragna , having no reason to refuse, allowed them to construct a sanctuary that rivaled even the Golden City of Asgard.

During this time, Valina, after enduring Ragna 's relentless training, had ascended to Third-Rank combat ability—placing her among the more capable warriors in the universe. On the day of her advancement, she celebrated by bathing in a literal pool of wine.

Yet, despite her growth, she had reached a plateau. Her potential had nearly peaked, meaning future ascensions would require the power of the Reincarnation Pool, consuming vast amounts of celestial energy to force evolution.

But Valina was not alone. Ragna had cultivated additional high-ranking warriors in his forces:

• Holy Keisha, the First Angel and supreme commander of the Angel Legions.

• Angel Yan, a tactical genius with unparalleled swordsmanship.

• Angel Leng, a cold and ruthless warrior.

• Angel Chase, the fastest flyer among them.

With five high-tier warriors under his command, Ragna wondered how they would fare against the Black Order, Thanos' elite enforcers.

The thought intrigued him—but there was no urgency. Time favored Ragna . He was in no rush to challenge the Mad Titan.

His priority was expanding his forces. His mid-to-low-tier combat units were still insufficient.

For three years, Ragna and the Angels had not remained idle.

Using natural wormholes and the Space Stone, they traversed the galaxy, intervening in conflict-ridden worlds, saving weaker civilizations, and spreading the Angelic faith.

Yet, three years was not enough.

• Too few planets had been saved.

• Too little faith had been accumulated.

• The energy required to create a King-Rank Angel remained beyond reach.

Even unlocking the Dark Silver Blade and the Flame Armament, divine Angelic weapons, remained an unfinished task.

For now, the only major milestone was the Angel Battle Formation, a divine combat technique that allowed Angels to combine their strength in perfect unison, vastly increasing their collective firepower.

Ragna 's Plan:

• Remain on Angel Star for ten more years.

• Expand the Angel Legions to two full battalions.

• Cultivate at least one King-Rank Angel.

• Launch a full-scale expansion into Skrull space, claiming territory.

Only then would he have the necessary manpower to secure and govern his future domain.

This was why he had come to the Andromeda Galaxy in the first place.

In chaos, power is forged.

But the universe did not always move according to Ragna 's will.

The Marauder Threat

"Master, enemy spaceship detected!"

A low-rank Angel hurried into the Celestial Palace, kneeling before Ragna .

There were countless Marauders lurking in the Andromeda Galaxy. It was only a matter of time before one found Angel Star.

Inside the approaching Marauder ship, an alien pirate stood in stunned disbelief.

"Angels?" he muttered, eyes wide. "Are those real Angels?"

Another Marauder grinned wickedly. "We just hit the jackpot."

For the past three years, Angels had sporadically appeared throughout the galaxy, spreading their faith. Though they operated discreetly, rumors of their existence had begun circulating.

And those rumors had reached the ears of a cosmic collector—Taneleer Tivan, The Collector.

The Elder of the Universe, obsessed with amassing the rarest artifacts and lifeforms, had set a bounty of 50 million Galactic Units for a live Angel.

To put that into perspective:

• The bounty for the Power Stone—one of the six Infinity Stones—was only 4 billion Galactic Units.

• The bounty for the Orb of Morag, an artifact containing the Power Stone, was only 40,000 Galactic Units.

Compared to those, 50 million for a single Angel was astronomical.

The Marauders aboard the ship erupted into cheers.

"Do you know what we can do with 50 million?" one cackled.

"We could buy a fleet!" another shouted.

"Catch as many as we can!" their captain barked. "Who knows? Someone else might pay even more for these divine creatures!"

Their ship descended rapidly, heading straight for Angel Star.

The Angels stationed above the capital reacted immediately.

Two mid-rank Angels took command, leading squadrons of fifty low-rank Angels into battle.

"By the Supreme Creator's command—" one declared, voice carrying divine authority.

"Leave no Marauder alive!"

Ragna had little patience for Marauders and slavers.

The battle began instantly.

The Marauder vessel unleashed waves of fighters, deploying small attack crafts in swarms.

But they did not fire directly at the Angels.

They didn't want to kill them.

A living Angel was priceless.

The skies above Angel Star erupted in fire and blood.

The first real battle had begun.
