Chapter 6193: The Most Important Person

Chapter 6193: The Most Important Person

“I want to continue challenging the trial to free her,” Chu Feng declared to the Immemorial Massacre Sea.

“What do the two of you take this place to be? Do you think you can conveniently take whatever you want from here? You must think that I’m here to service you,” a hostile voice seethed.

Chu Feng realized the Immemorial Massacre Sea wouldn’t let Eggy go that easily, so he said once more, “Let her go, and I’ll do whatever you want.”

“Even if it means putting your life on the line?” the voice asked.

“Yes,” Chu Feng replied without any hesitation.

Weng!

A spirit formation gate appeared.

Chu Feng unhesitatingly made his way toward it despite not knowing what lay on the other side.

Just as he was about to step in, the voice echoed, “It won’t be that easy to save her. This is merely the first trial. You have to clear it before you are granted a chance to take her away. Even so, it depends on whether she is willing to leave with you or not.”

Chu Feng entered the spirit formation gate without saying a word.

He didn’t think it would be easy to free Eggy, but for her, he was willing to do anything to clear whatever trial that stood in his way.

Eggy, to him, was different from Little Fishy.

His parents weren’t by his side in his younger years. He was raised by his foster father, and he held his foster father in high regard too, but the one who had accompanied him since he started cultivating was none other than Eggy.

As much as his kin and friends were important to him, Eggy was the one person in his life that he absolutely couldn’t afford to lose.

That was why he was determined to free Eggy no matter what it took.

On the other side of the spirit formation gate was a boundless desert.

The spirit formation gate behind Chu Feng vanished, and another spirit formation gate manifested in front of him.

“Your opponent will appear from that spirit formation gate. Defeat him, and you will be granted the chance to free your world spirit,” the voice said.

Chu Feng drew his two God Armaments, knowing his opponent was not going to be a pushover. However, he immediately noticed something amiss with his fighting prowess.

He hurriedly attempted to activate the Lightning Mark, Lightning Armor, Lightning Wings, and Lightning Aura. He managed to activate them without a hitch, raising his cultivation from rank one True God level to rank five True God level, but his fighting prowess remained far weaker than before.

“Your forced execution of the Heavenly Lightning Nine Slashes has severely impaired your bloodline, resulting in the weakening of your fighting prowess. It goes without saying that you are also in no condition to use the Heavenly Lightning Nine Slashes,” the red lightning beast said.

This was both a warning and advice to Chu Feng.

Chu Feng would have been a dead man if not for Eggy. His fighting prowess might have gone down, but at least he could still cultivate.

He tried unleashing his spirit power too—his spirit power had also gotten weaker. But instead of wallowing in his weakness, he felt thankful to Eggy.

If not for her sacrifice, he would have been crippled now.

“I will save you, Eggy,” Chu Feng said determinedly.

Despite his lowered fighting prowess, his confidence didn’t falter.

…

Meanwhile, three people were looking at Chu Feng from another space.

One was the woman in a white dress. One was the white-haired, black-robed woman who issued orders to Chu Feng and Eggy. The last one was a young man dressed in a black robe.

The young man had masculine features and shoulder-length hair; he looked like the type who would be popular with women. However, he emanated a lofty disposition that kept others at bay.

“Go in. There’s no need to hold back,” the woman in a white dress told the lofty young man.

“There’s no need to hold back? Are you sure?” the lofty young man asked.

“Of course.”

“But he will die.”

The woman in a white dress chuckled. “You can kill him if you want to.”

“I don’t have a grudge against him.”

“He has the Asura Sword.”

Those words shocked the young man.

“And he has the Asura Sword’s preliminary acceptance,” the woman in a white dress added.

The young man turned to Chu Feng with killing intent flaring in his eyes. He could never forget the humiliation he suffered from the Asura Sword.

As a famed prodigy of the Asura Spirit World, he was once given a chance to come into contact with the Asura Sword. He made his way up a pedestal and was just about to draw the legendary sword when the Asura Sword suddenly unleashed its energy and blasted him down.

“You aren’t worthy of approaching me,” the Asura Sword sneered.

That memory remained fresh in his mind. He would never forget it.

“I shall kill him. The Asura Sword shall know it has chosen the wrong master!”

With that, the lofty young man stepped into the spirit formation gate.

The white-haired, black-robed woman turned to the woman in a white dress and asked, “Milord, are we going to leave Chu Feng to the lurch if he loses?”

The woman in a white dress didn’t answer the question. Instead, she watched as the lofty young man stepped out of the spirit formation gate and stood opposite to Chu Feng.

Chu Feng observed the lofty young man.

The lofty young man unleashed his aura, revealing his rank one True God level cultivation. With a flick of his wrists, he whipped out two black metal truncheons.

“I am Shahun Haotian. I am the man who shall kill you today.”

The man took a step forward and charged at Chu Feng.

Chu Feng immediately understood two things.

One, the man was a true living being, not just a formation entity.

Two, the man possessed heaven-defying battle power that could surmount at least four cultivation ranks, or else he wouldn’t have been able to move at a speed comparable to a rank five True God level cultivator.

Shahun Haotian charged up to Chu Feng and swung his metal truncheons down on the latter’s head. The attack was so heavy that Chu Feng’s head would surely shatter if the blow landed.

But Chu Feng was already prepared for it. He dodged Shahun Haotian’s attack while swinging his God Armament saber down on Shahun Haotian’s arm.

Shahun Haotian immediately twisted his body, turning the vertical strike into a horizontal sweep. He was a skilled fighter with quick reflexes.

At this proximity, Chu Feng could only dodge Shahun Haotian’s metal truncheons by ducking, but the latter immediately followed up with a roundhouse kick.

Chu Feng quickly raised his saber to deflect it.

Clang!

The kick was so powerful that the saber reverberated and Chu Feng was sent flying.

Chu Feng flew a far distance before he fell back down onto the ground and skidded across the desert. He plunged his saber into the sand, but he still dragged a gorge across the desert before regaining his balance.

Chu Feng frowned.

Shahun Haotian was stronger than he had imagined, comparable to him before his weakening.

Just then, the Asura Sword said, “Don’t lose to that brat. I’ll look down on you otherwise.”
