Chapter 382: 382: Rich Asf
As the AI ultra-engine school bus pulled up to the massive gates of the De Vera mansion, the guards stationed there approached the vehicle, their expressions stern and vigilant. The sleek, futuristic design of the bus contrasted sharply with the traditional stone walls and wrought iron gates, a symbol of the De Vera family's wealth and status.
The guards, clad in crisp uniforms and armed with the authority of their positions, stepped forward to intercept the bus. "State your purpose," one of them demanded, his voice firm and commanding.
Inside the bus, the teachers exchanged glances before one of them, a distinguished figure with an air of authority, spoke up. "We're here to pick up Adam," he announced, his tone carrying a hint of impatience. "We're on our way to Manila for the Elite Trial."
The guards regarded the teachers with a mixture of suspicion and deference, their eyes narrowing slightly as they processed the information. The prospect of escorting students of such high caliber to the prestigious Elite Trial was not one to be taken lightly, and they were keenly aware of the responsibility that lay upon their shoulders.
Meanwhile, the students inside the bus bristled at the guards' brusque manner, their confidence and indignation rising in equal measure. Unaccustomed to being met with such rudeness, they exchanged heated whispers and exchanged determined glances, steeling themselves for a confrontation.
In a bold display of defiance, one of the students stepped forward, his posture defiant and his gaze unwavering. "Who do you think you are, treating us like common criminals?" he challenged, his voice tinged with anger. "We demand to be treated with respect!"
The guards, sensing the rising tension, exchanged a knowing glance before one of them took a step forward, his aura pulsing with a palpable intensity. With a subtle gesture, he unleashed a surge of energy, the sheer force of it causing the students to falter and take a step back, their bravado momentarily shaken.
But before the situation could escalate further, the teachers intervened, their authoritative presence calming the fray. "Everyone, calm down," one of them admonished, his voice firm but measured. "Let's handle this with diplomacy, not aggression."
Respecting the teachers' authority, the guards relaxed their stance, their expressions softening as they acknowledged the wisdom of their words. After all, the teachers were not just ordinary individuals – they were esteemed members of the Extraordinary realm, their knowledge and expertise revered by all.
With tensions defused and order restored, the guards stepped aside to allow the bus to pass through the gates.
As the AI Ultra Bus passed through the gates of the mansion, the guards exchanged whispered conversations amongst themselves, their voices carrying a mixture of awe and admiration for the advanced vehicle.
"Did you see that bus? It's the A1 Ultra, equipped with Electric Plasma Weapons," one guard remarked, his eyes widening with excitement. "I heard those weapons can take down even a Roar-level demon beast!"
His companion nodded in agreement, a look of reverence crossing his features. "Yeah, and did you know it can reach speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour on average, and 170 at max speed? That's faster than anything I've ever seen!"
The guards glanced at each other, their expressions reflecting a combination of wonder and envy at the capabilities of the state-of-the-art vehicle. "I wonder how much something like that costs," one of them mused, his brow furrowing with curiosity.
"Who knows," the other guard replied with a shrug. "But it's got to be worth a pretty penny, that's for sure. I mean, just look at it – it's like something out of a sci-fi movie!"
As they watched the bus disappear into the distance, the guards couldn't help but feel a sense of pride at the knowledge that such cutting-edge technology was being utilized to safeguard their charges. "It's funded by the government, right?" one of them ventured, seeking confirmation.
His companion nodded, a note of satisfaction in his voice. "Yeah, that's what I heard. It's good to know that our tax pesos are going towards something worthwhile, like keeping our students safe."
...
As the students lingered near the gate of the De Vera mansion, whispers and murmurs filled the air, carrying snippets of conversation and heated discussions among the gathered crowd.
"Did you see how rude those guards were?" one student muttered indignantly, his brows furrowed in annoyance. "I mean, we're just here to pick up Adam for the Elite Trial. There's no need for them to be so hostile."
His sentiment was echoed by several others in the group, their faces contorted with frustration at the perceived rudeness of the guards. However, not everyone shared their outrage.
"Come on, guys, cut them some slack," Shawn, the class president, interjected, his voice calm and measured. "It's just their job to maintain security and ensure that everyone who enters the premises is authorized to do so. There's nothing personal about it."
Xin, Shawn's close friend and ally, nodded in agreement, his expression thoughtful. "Exactly. We can't blame them for doing what they're supposed to do. Besides, it's not like they're trying to pick a fight with us."
As the debate raged on, another group of students found themselves marveling at the sheer opulence of the De Vera mansion and its surrounding grounds.
"Man, can you imagine living in a place like this?" one of them exclaimed, his eyes widening with awe as he surveyed the vast expanse of land before them. "Adam is so lucky to have all this at his disposal."
His companions nodded in agreement, their gazes lingering on the manicured lawns, lush gardens, and elegant architecture that surrounded them. "Yeah, and have you seen all the expensive stuff they've got around here?" another student chimed in, pointing towards a cluster of rare flowers blooming nearby.
"Those Boquel Flowers are worth a fortune," someone else added, gesturing towards the vibrant blossoms. "And don't even get me started on that Volcano Mini Fountain – I heard it's made of pure gold!"
"Adam's family are rich as fuck!"
