Chapter 70: Explosion
*********************
Beneath Ördögház: Elevator Shaft
Marcus jumped into the elevator shaft, landing gracefully as he examined his remaining claw stained with Selene's blood.
He licked it clean, closing his eyes as Selene's fragmented memories washed over him. Even though she hadn't fully reclaimed her past, those memories were deeply buried in her mind.
In that moment, a vision unfolded before him, revealing the location of his brother's cage. As he opened his eyes, a renewed determination surged within him, he was resolved to free his brother.
However, without the key, he knew he couldn't open the door on his own and faced the threat of the masked man, he realized he needed to assemble an army capable of fighting back. After all, Marcus had figured out the masked man's target was the Corvinus Firstborn, based on the fox wanting his arm.
With renewed determination, Marcus stepped out of the elevator shaft and into the dark tunnel, ready to seek out those who would join him in this fight, for the safety of his brother and the safety of the Corvinus depended on it.
The hunt was on, and he would not rest until he had the strength to break the chains binding Cage and confront the masked man once and for all.

Outside Ördögház
The Commander of the Cleaners Samuel stared at Ördögház, the den of the old coven, through his binoculars. The building loomed before him, a den of old coven, now shrouded in smoke and fire. The radio crackled to life, Alexander Corvinus's voice, anxious and worried, ringing out.
[Report the situation, Samuel]
"I fear you were right, sir," Samuel whispered, his voice heavy with foreboding. He watched as parts of the building crumbled, consumed by the flames.
"It appears we are too late."

Ship Sancta Helena: Control Room
The room became silent, the only sound of the rhythmic hum of machines and the shallow breaths of the soldiers.
All eyes were on Alexander, who clutched the railings tightly, his gaze fixed on the floor. A wave of despair washed over him. 'All I have done is for nothing,' Alexander thought with regret.
He had protected and hidden the vampires and Lycans, shielding them from the atrocities and attacks that other organizations wouldn't let go of but now, his son was dead, and the other one was stuck in a cage.
Anger rose up in his chest, a burning inferno of grief and fury. 'Although Marcus is dead, I need to figure out who attacked them to end this,' Alexander thought, closing his eyes to calm himself before speaking.
"Samuel, is there any sign of the attacker?" Alexander asked, his voice a low rumble. He knew there was only a slim chance that the attacker hadn't left yet, but hope flickered within him. He needed to find them, to bring them to justice, to avenge the loss of his family.

Outside Ördögház
Hearing Alexander's order, Samuel scanned Ördögház, searching for any sign of a man. It was already daylight. No vampire could go out, meaning if there were any people outside Ördögház, then it was the one who had attacked the coven.
Samuel's gaze swept over the building, his eyes adjusting to the glare of the morning sun. He finally saw someone on the roof. Yet, even with daylight, the man was hard to find, as if his presence was barely noticeable.
"I got some visuals on the roof, sir," Samuel said, taking his radio and reporting back to the control room.
[Let the others surround the building. If he tries to leave, shoot. Try to catch him if you can] Alexander's voice was urgent, his desire to find out the masked man's identity burning through his words.
Samuel raised his hand, then pointed at Ördögház, making a circle with his finger.
His men, trained and disciplined, moved with precision, surrounding the building. Samuel looked back to one of his men who had a sniper rifle, a lethal weapon.
"If he moves, shoot," Samuel said, his voice a quiet command. Then, he looked towards the other cleaners, waiting for his order.
"Let's go," Samuel said, turning around while aiming his weapon towards Ördögház, ready for any situation. The cleaners followed him, their footsteps echoing in the quiet morning air.
The sniper, a seasoned professional, lay on the ground, adjusting his scope for a more comfortable aim towards the man on the roof.

Ördögház: Roof
Raizo watched the soldier walking towards him, his heart a steady drum against his ribs, indicating his calmness. He didn't panic; he'd anticipated this, even though he couldn't disappear like he always did as a ninja. He had noticed them long before they saw him.
Raizo just looked down at the phone in his hand, waiting for a response. Using one hand, he typed a message to Kim Yoo-ri.
[R: where are you? Asura is already getting out of the building, and the soldiers are getting closer.]
Raizo finished typing, then moved to the side, sending the message. A bullet passed through, making Raizo look towards the sniper's direction with a frown. He didn't flinch, his training and reflexes kicked in but the bullet just barely missed him, a chilling reminder of the danger.
He vanished into the thick, acrid smoke, the smell of burning wood stinging his nostrils. Seconds later, his phone vibrated. He looked down, relief washing over him as he saw Kim Yoo-ri's reply.
[K: I'm here. I hired other people with me]
Raizo frowned, seeing this. He knew how Lucian wanted to keep his movements a secret. Then, he heard a pair of helicopter propellers coming towards Ördögház.
He moved out of the smoke cover, in the distance, three choppers approaching.
Raizo could see someone opening the side of the chopper carrying weapons. He knew Kim Yoo-ri had arrived, bringing her own team.
While the soldiers on the ground stop moving turning towards the Helicopter.

Outside Ördögház
The sniper saw Raizo looking in another direction, getting his attention. Then he finally heard the helicopter propellers, making him frown.
He turned towards the helicopter direction, using his scope to observe it while using his radio to report the changes.
"Sir, it looks like the one attacking the Lycans and vampires is not only one man," the sniper said, his voice strained.
[Can you see who's in it?] Samuel's voice appeared on the radio, his tone full of tension, showing the seriousness of the situation. He had also seen the choppers.
The sniper used his scope, looking at the helicopter while he described what he saw to the radio.
"It's a three standard black UH-1N Huey Helicopter," the sniper said, before he saw the chopper door open. He tried to see who was in it, but the distance was too great.
"Sir, inside the chopper has the same mask as the one on the roof, and he's got an RPG on his shoulder," the sniper frowned, seeing this. Just when he was about to aim at the masked man's head, he saw the masked man pointing the RPG towards him.
"Oh, shit!" The sniper's eyes widened as he cursed, then rolled to the side as the RPG hit a tree behind him, the explosion sending shockwaves through the air.
"Support! I need support back here!" the sniper shouted into his radio as he crawled on the ground.
[Stay low! Move to cover!] Samuel shouted on the radio, his tone a mix of command and desperation. But it was too late.
The masked man, a figure of deadly efficiency, sent another RPG shooting towards the sniper. The rocket streaked through the air, a whistling death heading toward the sniper.
*Boom!*
The explosion tore through the ground, destroying the man's body completely. Debris flew through the air, leaving behind a horrifying reminder of the danger they're about to face.

Ördögház: Helicopter
The masked man went back inside the helicopter, closing the door. He watched, with a chilling sense of satisfaction, as the RPG hit the sniper completely. He turned to the woman beside him, his sister and the leader of their group.
"I always wanted to do that," he whispered to his sister, his voice laced with a dark humor and excitement.
His sister shook her head, her expression cold and calculating. She turned towards another woman inside the helicopter, a woman with a mask different from theirs. She nodded towards the masked woman, pressing her earpiece.
"Let's proceed with the plan. We'll go first, while two of you get their attention," she ordered, her voice a commanding whisper.
[Roger that] She heard her teammates reply as their helicopter rushed towards Ördögház, landing in the yard.
The other two choppers flew towards the soldiers, their doors opening, revealing machine guns that started firing towards the soldiers on the ground.
*Rat-ta-ta-tat* *Rat-ta-ta-tat*
"Retreat! Hide behind the trees!" Samuel shouted from the ground as he saw the machine guns unleashing their deadly fury. He led his men, a desperate scramble for cover, towards the trees. Bullets rained down, puncturing the air around them, the sound of the metal screaming a chilling symphony. They were caught off guard, outnumbered, and outgunned.

Ördögház
Raizo crouched on the mansion's rooftop. The gothic architecture, stark against the brightening sky, offered little cover. Below, the wrought-iron gates gleamed, reflecting the early light.
He inhaled deeply, the crisp morning air invigorating. His eyes, sharp and alert, scanned the ground below, assessing the distance and the terrain. With a silent movement, he launched himself from the roof. For a brief, suspended moment, he was a silhouette against the rising sun, his body a testament to years of rigorous training.
He moved with the fluid grace of a predator, his body a perfectly tuned machine. He tucked himself into a streamlined position, minimizing air resistance, his muscles coiled and ready.
As he approached the ground, his legs extended, his knees bending to absorb the impact. He landed with a barely audible thud, his feet barely disturbing the dew-kissed grass.
He rolled smoothly, dissipating the remaining momentum, coming to a silent stop. Raizo knelt, the dust settling around him.
The sudden hiss of the opening door sliced through the quiet, followed by a barked order "Get in!" The masked man's voice, amplified by the helicopter's proximity, carried a note of urgency.
Raizo rose, his movements fluid and silent, his gaze briefly locking with the masked man before shifting towards the imposing building. He waited, his senses wide alert.
The building's heavy oak door creaked open, revealing Lucian, his fox mask a stark contrast to the somber scene.
In his arms, he cradled a figure shrouded in a leather trench coat, while walking towards the helicopter.
Lucian approached the helicopter, despite the weight in his arms, his pace remained fast nodding towards the mercenary masked man as Lucian got in the helicopter while Raizo followed behind him as the masked mercenary man from the helicopter closed the door.
Then the helicopter lifted off from the ground, the blades churning the air, taking them away from the chaos.

Ördögház: Helicopter
The helicopter's door hissed shut, sealing them in a confined space. Simultaneously, the mercenary siblings cast off their masks, revealing their identities.
The female mercenary, a strikingly beautiful Iranian woman, smiled faintly. "So you are Asura? Nik Khan," she said, her voice smooth as silk as she introduced herself while putting her hand out towards Lucian.
"I wasn't informed that our mission involved corpse disposal," Nik continued, her gaze shifting to Kim Yoo-ri, who simply shrugged in response.
Lucian, his expression a mixture of surprise and amusement, met Nik's eyes. "Asura, and she's very much alive," he corrected, his tone suggesting a subtle challenge. While he shook her hand. 'To think I would see her here,' Lucian thought while he observed Nik up and down.
"Is that so..." Nik's gaze lingered on the bundled figure, skepticism etched on her face. She didn't believe a word of Lucian's assurance. With a curt nod she let go of his hand then she turned toward the side, leaning into her earpiece, issuing a crisp command.
"Evacuate. Mission objective secured." Her eyes, though still assessing and judging, addressed both Lucian and Raizo.
In response to her command, the relentless pursuit from the two other helicopters ceased before following behind them.

Outside Ördögház
Samuel watched the helicopter disappear into the distance, then turned his attention to his injured men. He pressed his radio, his voice grim as he relayed the events to base.
"I regret to report, sir, that the assailants escaped. It appears we're dealing not with a lone operative, but a full-fledged organization targeting both Lycans and vampires." He helped one of his men to his feet, the weight of failure heavy on his shoulders.
A cold, controlled voice responded from the other end, the disappointment barely masked.
[Is that so? Then return at once. We need to anticipate their next move.] Alexander's tone betrayed the turmoil hidden beneath his professional demeanor as the loss of his child is still fresh.
Samuel's gaze shifted to the burning building, the radio still pressed to his ear. He knew Alexander wouldn't rest until the fate of his son was absolutely confirmed.
"Sir, should I go in and investigate for vampire survivors?" he asked, the question hanging in the air.
"[If you ca—]" *BOOM!*
The response was cut short by a deafening explosion that ripped through the Ördögház. The radio crackled with static, Alexander's words lost to the chaos. Another explosion followed, then another, and another, each one more violent than the last. The building groaned, its structure weakened by the relentless barrage. Flames engulfed the structure, debris raining down as the Ördögház began to collapse in on itself, a testament to the devastating power of the explosions. The fire spread rapidly, consuming everything in its path.
