Kaguya-sama Wants My Surrender!

Chapter 262: Chapter 262: Kaguya's Great Adventure

Under the dim glow of the streetlight, a striking figure stood still—a wild bunny girl with a charming aura. Her delicate bunny-ear hair accessory trembled slightly, complementing the cute black bow tied at her chest. She wore tight black-and-white attire that hugged her figure, paired with black fishnet stockings.

Despite her radiant appearance, her noticeably flat chest evoked a mix of admiration and mild disappointment.

"Ehh?! What is this?!" Chika exclaimed in shock. "That girl looks exactly like Kaguya-chan!"

Sajuna nodded in agreement. "It does seem like her."

Though Sajuna had only met Kaguya briefly, her striking beauty left an unforgettable impression.

Meanwhile, Komi tilted her head, blinking with visible confusion.

"Could it be," Amamiya mused, glancing at the two girls, "that this really 'is' Kaguya?"

"Impossible, absolutely impossible," Chika insisted, shaking her head fervently. "That's a bunny girl outfit. There's no way Kaguya-chan would show up wearing something like that. It's got to be a ghost pretending to be her!"

'Nothing is impossible girl.'

'This isn't even the first time she've worn this bunny girl outfit... you just didn't know about it.'

Amamiya approached the wild bunny girl with a serious expression. "Ms. Bunny Girl, please prove your identity. Otherwise, we'll have to assume you're a threat."

Kaguya narrowed her eyes in irritation, covering her chest with one hand while lightly biting her pink lips. Her temper flared as she glared at him.

"Let's start with the secret code," Chika suggested, stepping forward with suspicion etched across her face. "Odds change, but evens don't."

"…The symbol depends on the quadrant," Kaguya replied after a pause.

Chika pointed an accusing finger. "You hesitated!"

Kaguya: "…"

'It's normal to hesitate when answering such a weird code!'

"No, this isn't enough. The code might've been leaked," Chika reasoned. "For example, if someone captured Kaguya-chan and tortured her, she might've spilled everything. Let me ask some personal questions instead."

"What's my favorite dessert?" Chika began.

"Strawberry Daifuku."

"What's my favorite game?"

"Monopoly."

"What's my dog's name?"

"Pace."

"…"

"You got them all right," Chika murmured in disbelief, her eyes widening. "Are you really Kaguya-chan?"

"Who else could I possibly be?" Kaguya retorted, biting her lip and folding her arms over her chest.

"But I remember you were wearing your school uniform earlier," Chika pointed out. "How did you suddenly become a bunny girl?"

As she spoke, Chika reached out and poked Kaguya's pale, slender arm. "Your body is so cold—there's no warmth at all."

"That's because it's freezing out here!" Kaguya snapped defensively.

As the conversation continued, a second Kaguya—more mature in appearance—silently emerged from the shadows cast by Amamiya's feet. The shadowy figure extended her arms and abruptly embraced the bunny girl.

"Thank you for your hard work, Kaguya-chan~"

"…"

Komi's jaw dropped as he witnessed the bizarre scene, his entire body trembling once again.

"Don't worry," Amamiya assured him. "They're friendly."

Once the identity of the wild bunny girl was confirmed, Chika brightened up. She eagerly began recounting her experiences since entering the game, her earlier suspicion replaced with cheerful chatter.

"At first, I turned into a koi fish," Chika began, her voice tinged with both fear and amazement. "I was swimming around in a fish tank. I was so scared back then—I thought I was going to drown!"

She barely paused for breath before continuing, her hands gesturing animatedly. "Then, we heard rumors that someone spotted a human who looked like you. We went searching and ended up meeting a neighbor lady who could rewrite people's memories! It was terrifying, but we finally managed to escape and rescue Komi-san."

Chika's voice rose slightly as she added, "And just now at the convenience store, there was this scary old lady…"

Without giving Kaguya a chance to interject, Chika raced through the rest of her tale, detailing their dungeon adventures after they'd been separated. Finally, she exhaled in satisfaction, a look of triumph on her face.

"Kaguya-chan," Chika asked suddenly, tilting her head in curiosity, "why are you wearing a bunny girl outfit?"

All eyes turned to Kaguya.

Amamiya immediately connected the dots. 'She must have used Shadowcat's skills again. It's such a handy ability, even if it does have one big drawback—'losing' clothes every time it's activated.'

"This is because of the dress-up card," Kaguya explained quietly, turning her face to the side in mild embarrassment. She crossed her arms over her chest and added in a low voice, "I was with Umi just now."

The mention of Umi made Amamiya glance instinctively behind Kaguya.

Nothing.

There was no sign of the gyaru girl anywhere.

Sajuna, who had been standing quietly at the side, perked up at the mention of Umi. Her curiosity sparked, she quickly asked, "Where's Umi-chan now?"

"She's still in the ghost story," Kaguya replied with a solemn expression, shaking her head. "I was the only one who managed to escape using my skills."

Amamiya narrowed his eyes thoughtfully and ask:

"Tell me the specifics," Amamiya said, his gaze steady as he looked at Kaguya.

Kaguya lowered her head slightly, her expression tinged with seriousness, and began recounting her experience in the dungeon.

She explained that she and Umi had landed in the same area upon entering the dungeon. Almost immediately, they encountered a bizarre phenomenon.

"It was a warm hotel," Kaguya murmured, her pink lips pressed into a faint pout. "But the strange part... was the endless restarts."

"Restarts?" Chika raised her hand eagerly, her curiosity evident. "What do you mean by that?"

Kaguya glanced at her and replied, "It means everything that's already happened resets, and we have to live through it all over again."

Sajuna tilted her head, her finger brushing her chin thoughtfully. "So... like a song on repeat?"

"Something like that." Kaguya nodded. "But with each reset, the dangers became worse. Umi and I weren't the only players there—there were others in the hotel, all searching desperately for a way out."

Her tone dropped slightly as she continued, "During one of the resets, something happened to one of the players. When the cycle restarted, they had lost all their memories... They weren't the same person anymore."

She lifted her gaze to meet Amamiya's. "Umi told me something during all this. She said the boy in the hero costume, backstabbing man, the narrator keeps mentioning... must be you."

"That's correct," Amamiya said without hesitation, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "I suppose my reputation precedes me."

Kaguya sighed lightly but pressed on. "When the fourth reset was about to start, I decided to try using the Shadowcat skill. I didn't expect it to work, but somehow, I escaped the hotel. After that, I came across the map you posted at the intersection and followed it here."

She paused briefly before adding, "Umi didn't have access to a skill like Shadowcat. She had a single-use ability of Don, but it wasn't enough to let her escape."

After listening attentively, Chika clenched her fists, her determination evident. "Let's go to the hotel! We have to rescue Umi-chan!"

Amamiya's eyes flicked back to Kaguya. "So you used the Combined Don skill already?"

Kaguya nodded slightly, her voice tinged with regret. "Umi and I used it together, but it wasn't enough to stop the resets."

"Then it seems you've been chasing the wrong goal," Amamiya said, stretching out his hand toward Kaguya.

Without hesitation, Kaguya extended her hand as well, their fingers intertwining naturally.

Standing nearby, Komi watched the interaction closely, her head tilting in curiosity.

(Hand in hand... are they dating?)

The thought was interrupted a moment later when Chika cheerfully stepped forward and grabbed Amamiya's other hand.

"Eh?!" Komi's eyes widened in shock.

(T-three people holding hands?! Why?)

Her cheeks flushed as the realization dawned. (Could it be... are all three of them dating? Together?!)
